Checked in with my brother today...he's exchanging a time share week with RCI to then apply that towards the Tortola cruise. Looks like he'll be able to get a verandah for the cost of an inside doing that. He should know tomorrow.

Well, in less than three weeks we should have heard about the 2010 DCL plans....can't wait to see what's in the works. Did you hear the LATEST rumor? (i think someone just made this up) It was that the WONDER would be going somewhere (west coast?) that summer also so that they can do the work on the PC terminal and docking area to get ready for the big ships. Won't that have all the FL people's panties in a twist! No offence ment to OUR FL people ...but some of them just talk like they OWN those ships..

Time to wrap things up here and head out for food. My BistroMD stuff should arrive tomorrow.

Hi Holly.....hope you have a good work day today. It's happy news that you got another job. You will do just fine. Look at it as a new adventure and you're a sponge absorbing all new information.

I used to do temp work inbetween jobs.....so every day or every week I would go to a new workplace. It was a great opportunity to meet new people and see how each different office and business runs.

You'll do fine because you pick up new things quickly. Just have some confidence. And CONGRATULATIONS! After a year of interviewing, it finally paid off.

Unfortunately, today was NOT a good day. I just couldn't keep up because all 4 attorneys were there. At 4:50 I was just starting something that had to go out by 5 by fax. Then I discovered a hidden pile of things that had been signed by the attorney and needed to get mailed TODAY and 2 things that needed to be overnighted by UPS today too. Fortunately, UPS doesn't pick up from the dropbox until 7:30pm, and the post office accepts mail until 8pm to go out same day, so I had plenty of time to get the stuff done and dropped off at both places. Left work at 6:15 did the dropoffs and still made it to the scouts organizational meeting by 7. Meeting lasted until 9, stopped at Subway to grab my dinner on the way home. NOW I can finally relax!

Off to eat and will then catch up with you all!

Here's a kitty story for you Jill, I woke up this morning to Ella (cat) acting all kinds of happy and very excited. She brought me a present......a dead baby mouse!!!! EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I remember those days from when my mom had cats when I lived with her. Cats are just so proud of themselves when they do that! Yuck!

In the gov it seems they promote the slackers because it's easier than firing them. So the good people can never advance because they are too hard to replace.

That's great Holly - are they going to be able to work w/ you w/ flexibility for Tyler's appts? I hope so. Things are looking up for you!

No, they can't work around permanent things, but they said if something comes up once in a while, of course that's fine. Right now all he has on a regular basis is occupational therapy every Monday at 5:30. The lawyer asked me if that's short term or for how long, and I told him long term, I have no idea how long, and he told me if it's just once a week, and if it's the latest appointment available (and it is), he'll make it work.

The psychiatrist appointments are only once a month now, so work will just have to deal with that. We do have an appointment next Thursday that the Dr. wants us to come in for (based on a phone call I made to him today that I'll explain later when I catch up ). But I won't be at the new job yet, so that's OK.

About karate, I'll have to just have Tyler do both classes on Tuesday. He can do 6pm and 6:30pm. Many other kids do the same thing because of scheduling/life conflicts. The only other evening class is on Thursday and I found out tonight he'll have scouts that night, so Tuesday is the way it will have to be.

Our color hasn't even started here yet.....we have had an indian summer with 90 degree weather still. The temperatures will probably drop next week while I'm in FL and then the leaves will start to change color.

You'll probably have a beautiful drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fall should be in full bloom in another month.....since it's such a late season this year. I truely am a seasonal kind of person. I need all four of them to keep me happy.

Wow! We haven't had 90F for a month I think. No, I take that back, I believe Labor Day weekend we had 1 or 2 days that were 90, but not since then. 70s now and some days are only 60s.

YAY Holly!! I hope the office manager's head spun around when you told her you were quitting I'm sure Tyler will be fine for a couple of extra hours in the after-school program, and I hope the new environment is much better for you. I've worked in a couple of law firms with TERRIBLE environments, so I know the stress and annoyance it can cause.

I actually didn't have a chance to tell her today! I was so busy that every time I tried to start an email to her (because I was too busy to actually walk to her office), an attorney would come behind me and ask me to do a rush job for him, or I'd get a phone call, or I'd have to hurry and call somebody to schedule something because an attorney had somebody on hold waiting to hear a date of something. So I'm going in at 6:30 instead of 7 tomorrow morning and will sit down and send her an email and copy the attorneys on it.

Hey Deb You sound so excited for your upcoming trip. I can't believe we have to wait another 7 months before ours, but I keep telling myself to be patient! Olivia is really excited about getting a baby brother, though it was tough to convince her it was a boy after we found out his gender. Now she's completely protective of Baby Salvatore. She took a bunch of her old toys and put them in a bin for him and anytime we're in a store with baby things she asks if we can get things for Baby Salvatore. It's cute. At the same time, she's become REALLY clingy with me, because I think she suspects what's coming once the new baby arrives. My due date is 1-1-09 (new years baby), but the doctor is saying he'll probably come a couple of weeks early, since Olivia was three weeks early.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I went through a depression period earlier this year, and it was tough. *hugs*

Since you asked about pictures, I'll share one of Olivia from earlier this week. She's grown so much!
