Hi Ginamarie......so glad to hear the great news that little Salvatore is growing healthy and only giving you a little trouble. He sounds like he's going to be a troublemaker. Watch out! How does Olivia feel about getting a baby brother soon? Does she understand at all? Wait until she see's him, as small as one of her dolls. I can't wait for pictures of them together. You be sure and share them with us! When is your due date?

You were right about me not posting on the boards for a while. I had gotten really far behind in reading too. I had been very depressed and was grieving because it was coming up on the first anniversary of my mom's death. It would have been her birthday too.

I'm doing much better now that I have passed that date.

We are going to Orlando in 6 days and we're staying for 6 nights. We'll be meeting with Monica and Lisa and Darrell and doing Epcot Food and Wine Festival. I'm soooooooooo excited.

September 29th is our 18th wedding anniversary. Usually we're on a cruise at this time of the year and then do WDW afterwards. But since we already cruised this year, we're only going to WDW.

It's funny how excited we're both getting. You would think that we had never been there before.

Lovely, I remembered that u had cancel the cruise but next year Sept should be nice and to see disboards people onceagain. We love go back to Orlando but we booked for 24 Oct with Disney Cruise but we decide to cancel it but I have email to dreams unlimited today to see whether if we move it to 2010. As the econmics have been bad this month. XL/City Travel Direct had been busted up (airline and holiday company). We cannot afford next year.

I joined with people who are going on 24 Oct, seem that they are lovely people there,shame we are not able to go and I have not mention it yet.

We will be back to Orlando someday.

My neighdoor went away to China yesterday and he was asking 'how you get on with your computer' and I told him good but disappointed about photos, etc had been wiped out.

He said no it is on your computer and I realised that he put all the photos in card recovery!!.

Last night I got all back over 12,000 photos, logo, even in every pages. Photos all mixed up so look like I have a big job to tidy it up!!

I am pleased now that all photos are there now.

Got phone call that laptop is ready.

hopeful things get better than last week was horrible week.

Now I missed lot of pages and I need catch up too and Not sure if Holly got a new job, if so, congratulations

Great news about the photos Deborah. I'm so pleased. Somehow a loss of photos is quite upsetting. When John and I met he took loads of photos, just quick catch the moment ones, and I nevr got to see them as his car was stolen when he was on his way to visit me. When he got the car back the photos had gone - just mischief by the thieves I guess!!! I still feel sad that those special photos have gone, and it is 41 years ago now!

I'm sorry you are having to cancel the cruise. Hopefully you will get one booked for 2010 that doesn't include air fares! I think times are going to be different for many of us now!!

Not long till Tenerife for you. Our flight next Tuesday is 7.30am, so we will have to get up around 3am! We need early flights to be able to catch the transfers over to La Gomera.

For you, it would be the addition of international airfare for four. That get's very pricey when you add it on to the other expenses of the trip. That's why John and I will not be going on the Med or Baltic cruises, because the airfare on top of the trip, even for the two of us, is just way more than we can handle these days. Since we pay so much each month for Ray (stepdad). It's been a whole year of doing it and I still shreek at the numbers.

Fortunately, I have one seminar that John and I will be attending for VA aid for Ray and then I'm in the process of filling out a county form for assistance. I'm stalled because I have to find his birth certificate. Don't know what mom did with it in the end and then my bro cleaned out the house. I have to find it before I can continue.....I need his mother's first name and maiden name.....but at least I've been working on it.

It killed me when I had to cancel my cruise for this month too. C'est la vie!

Fortunately for us, we can drive. It only cost me $400 to rent the convertible car for ten days.

Oh dear about your romance photos in camera got stolen, as 41 years seem long times. I found my mum old photos (black and white) and she was with lady friend I have no clue who is she? I saw my mum's friend while I was at Aberdeen, she think she was her sister. I will scan it and send it to her.

About Tenerife, that same time as us, first we booked for 12.15 pm then they changed the times to around 7 am

Met up w/ Gydell, Connie & Gydell's friend last night for the Hoop-de-doo Review. Carolyn & my 1st time.....cheesy but funny I did get some pics that I will try to post tonight. Food was yummy too.

Marilyn and Deborah, we have you beat.....John and I will be leaving some time around midnight.....maybe a little before. John likes to do the drive at night. It cuts down on traffic through all the major east coast cities, Phili, Baltimore, DC....and you just follow a truck because they're working for a living......doing overnight hauls. They make the best time and they know where the cops are if you're speeding.

We leave Wednesday night and drive all night. Some time Thursday afternoon we'll pull over and get a hotel room for the night. We'll probably be around South Carolina or Georgia.....sometimes we even make it to Jacksonville, FL before John stops driving and needs a rest. Friday mid day we'll be in Orlando requesting an early check in.

Keith is a brilliant child.....my favorite is DCL too!!!

We're going away for a week too.....six nights in Orlando and one night before and after on the drive.

Definitely take some pictures of all of you at your hotel and on the beach. We would all love to see them.

Oh, one more thing before I fall asleep. Tomorrow WILL be a better day because I get to GIVE MY NOTICE! I got a new job as a legal assistant and they want me to start no later than Oct. 1. I'm HORRIBLY nervous because I've only had one office job ever, the one where I've currently been for almost 4 years. So I'm horrified at leaving that comfort zone where I know how to do everything. I'm terrified of the extra duties I'll have at the new job that I've never done, like keeping the attorney's calendar for him. BUT.....no environment can be as bad as the one I'm leaving, so I suppose I'll be fine. And even if I hate the new job and screw it up so badly they don't want to keep me, the old job will take me back immediately because they always, always, always try to ask former employees to come back. In fact, about 2 years ago I got a job somewhere else making $2/hour more, and my current employer offered me more to STAY. I accepted because I was afraid of leaving that comfort zone. This time if they offer, I won't stay because I'm just burned out and need change.

AND....I'll have vacations! Sure, I was just given that perk where I am now, but I can't use until a year has passed. The insurance is better where I'm going because the plan at my current employer has a $2500 deductible per year (and they haven't started it for me yet anyway). The current job was going to give me one week vacation starting next year, but the new job is giving me 12 days for years 1-3, 15 days for years 4 & 5, and 21 days for 6 years and beyond. Only 50cents/hour more to start, but another $1/hour added to that after 90 days, so that will be $1.50/hour more total.

That's great Holly - are they going to be able to work w/ you w/ flexibility for Tyler's appts? I hope so. Things are looking up for you!

Because I'm so nervous about the new job, I'm trying to forget about it for a couple days. But they're not able to work around my schedule with Tyler's stuff because they're a smaller firm, only 5 lawyers (interviewing for a 6th), so I have to figure all that out this week and then sign Tyler up for the before and after school care. I'm sad about losing about 3 hours with him 3 days a week. Losing our playtime together before bed too because now when we get home each night it will probably be his bedtime right after we eat dinner. It's just a hard thing for me to accept, but I guess we'll have the same schedule most parents do. Good thing is that he's used to doing that at his dad's, and he told me he really loves the after school care because they get a snack right after school and usually get to make a craft project or play outside or something different each day. The way he said it was, "You never know what fun's going to happen there!" We'll just have to make our little bit of time on Saturday evenings and our Sundays extra special somehow.

My mother was doing a project once a very long time ago and she asked me for my pictures of my first cat when I was 8 years old.....my favorite cat even to this day. I gave her the pictures and never got them back. I know it's not my husband or child, but they were still very special to me.

Jackie, that cat's name was gidget.

PS The project that mom was doing never got done.

Good morning Ladies!

Deb - good to see you back on a regular basis. Can't believe I get to see you in just over 1 week.....it'll be loads of fun! I thought of you & John yesterday as I was at the Fedex Kinkos that's at the strip mall across from the Staybridge.

Deborah - so glad you were able to get the pics back. What a horror to lose them! I started transferring the ones on my computer to cds.

Marilyn - do the HDDR - book it on the 1st day they allow it. I enjoyed it. Gydell does it every year - a neat tradition in my opinion.

Tenerife looks beautiful, but I don't think I could go to where Marilyn is staying as I think the drive up there would do me in

Deb - I had dinner w/ my cousins both Sat & Sun this past weekend & I believe I will be seeing them tomorrow night as well.

HDDR - it's a dinner & show at the Pioneer Hall in the Fort Wilderness Resort. There are usually 3 shows a night (5p, 715p, 925p). They give you salad, cornbread, fried chicken, ribs (very yummy), beans, mashed potatoes & strawberry shortcake for your meal. Most drinks are included too.

Actually Marilyn, we both enjoy the time that we share in the car on the ride. We're used to doing it at least twice a year, sometimes more. John likes driving, he hates flying. He could drive day and night every day and not think twice about it. John likes to sing to pass the time by if we're not engaged in a conversation. He used to sing in chior as a child and still enjoys it. He also knows that if he's about to get tired, he'll pull over and we'll take a hotel room wherever we are.

On the way down, we're both excited and talking away. On the way home, I'm usually so tired out that I just sleep and then when I wake up we're home.
