I am glad to be back to chat with you and other as I missed your chatting.

Yes, just 1 week tomorrow we fly to Tenerife, and then transfer to La Gomera. We are there for 2 weeks as with the transfers adding so much to the journey it is hardly worth the effort for one week. At least that is our excuse anyway!!!

5 or 4 weeks to go for us, I cannot wait as just had terrible times.

I know basically what I need, and I haven't worn any of the clothes since the cruise!!! Sun tops, shorts, swimming costume etc. Our eating out isn't dressy, so some smart cropped trousers, and perhaps a skirt will do.

WOW.....I'm in SHOCK! I just heard on the news that Lehman Brothers is filing for bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch is being bought out by Bank of America. Both are HUGE brokerage firms in the financial district in NYC. I used to work for Merrill Lynch and I ran all over their offices in the WTC towers downtown......many moons ago.

I guess this economy is REALLY not good.

Yes it get me down as I am worry about Barclay bank too I am going to speak parent in law tonight.

it get worst. My friend text me last Thursday she was heartbroken as her flight with LX as she lost holiday to Florida next month but her mum manged to swtich over another flight now she is happy

I phoned Direct Holidays this morning to double check for Tenerife and it is okay *** I was reading about flight monarch will be next?? just like LX

There is so much(well just about everything really) that I don't understand about the financial institutions etc. It does seem we are in for some very troubled times though.

I think share start it?? as Northern Rock started it then everything went down. Lots of flight lost or bankrupt which is great shame.

Nero emailed me today and give me the serial for photos but cannot get it work. Will sort it out later as I have to go to work today as today it is bank holiday for Edinburgh only.

I was wondering too. I'm thinking some people are just getting on with their lives now and aren't as bothered about keeping in touch as some of us are. shame. I know she has a cruise booked soon with a whole load of her church friends, so she may be very busy there.

Deborah, it's so great to have you back. I hope things so smoothly for you now. And 4-5 weeks will fly by quickly and then you'll be on vacation again too.

David and Karen just gave us a framed one yesterday similar to these with her cuddling Eeyore which we took back from our May vacation. She loves it apparently.

We don't seem to get as many photos up in frames these days since we went digital. We do have quite a few photos of all the grands, but they are a few years old now!!!

We must make an effort to get some printed - they are all trapped in the computer!

Oh yea, you're right. I had forgotten about that, but now that you mention it, I do remember. I think maybe she's cruising around Thanksgiving. I could be wrong, but you're right it is coming up so that will keep her busy elsewhere.

She'll come back and say hi when she can.

Isn't it thrilling that she loves the Eeyore that you gave her. She will always remember that as she grows. It's special.

Breakfast is cooking now.....2 egg whites, veggie sausage and fruit slices. Sounds yummy. It was so easy.....I took it out of the freezer and cut the three plastic packages and put them on a plate and now I'm microwaving to cook. In 5 minutes, breakfast will be ready.

I might consider the TA if it's going to England. Still waiting to hear WHEN it is and if there is some other cruise before/after the four to the Baltic.

Truthfully, the airfare is probably what will make it impossible for me to do it at all.

I think it will interfere with both the beginning and ending of school depending on the dates. Of course the schools 2010 cal isn't out yet. I am looking at old posts from the last repo and it looks like they had rough seas going over. I wonder if that is normal for that time of year?
