What in the world?! I'm gone since 6:30am and there are only 5 more pages?!

Today was a crazy busy day, but the day flew by! :goodvibes

Off to look at Cheri's pictures! :thumbsup2

Sorry Holly... I've been napping a bit and now I have to clean the house... I do believe that I will be having some family show up here very soon... :grouphug: (& my sister is the clean freak in the family so I need to fumigate :rotfl: (I think...))

Jill:

First congrats on joining your family on the up coming trip. I hope you will have a good time.

Also, when your mom gets your dad that electric chair I may want to pick your brain on it. I've been wanting to have a scooter/chair for my mom on our Xmas/NYE trip but haven't started to find out about them yet, any info you have I'd love you to send my way.

Hi Nan, not Jill.....but I have rented the scooters before for the boat and for running around at WDW. I'll get you a link to a couple of them. They're located in the Orlando area and they will drop off and pick up at the cruise terminal. You have to book a handicapped room to get them into the room or a higher category room. I always book a cat 5 and they won't fit into the room. You have to recharge the battery so you need to plug it in somewhere. With 5122 being the first room off the elevators, I could plug it in outside the room. The one time I used a wheelchair, I had to fold it up.

Hope this helps. They are reasonably inexpensive.....about $100-200 for the week. Link to follow soon.

:lmao: I learned French in high school, but then went to Holland for a year, and the Dutch replaced the French in my head. Only room for so much, now I don't really use either of them, so its all muddled in my head.
It was funny because over the year I learned to speak Dutch, and tried really hard to speak it all the time. But for the first while, when I would go to a store and ask for something in Dutch, they would hear the bad Dutch and answer me in English  It was frustrating because you can't learn a language if you don't use it.

True. I took four years of Spanish and I can speak better than I can understand but it isn't good.

how come you always drag me into these conversations...and even now with no laptop to timely defend myself.

I was not running over toes I am :snooty: but only about a certain list of things...verdanas, spas, wine...okay it's a long list but a list for sure.

I was referring to Chip and Dale. I didn't even realize they were talking about the scooter lady!

Of course you have to be at WDW to get this one...

POR FAVOR MANTENGANSE ALEJADO DE LAS PUERTAS...

After MY couple of years of high school spanish... that's the best I can do... and I got that off my T shirt!!! :lmao:

Hi Every one, I've been "Skulking about" not much time these days. Back in the stone ages when I had my first "real" job, I bussed tables at an upscale all night dinner. One of the waitresses was a recent immigrant from Sweden. late one Saturday night a group of partiers stopped in for breakfast after the clubs. They were rowdy, loud, and obnoxious. Poor Helen got them. Well after an hour or so, they left, they stiffed her for her tip. She stepped out the side door, and let out a stream of words in Swedish, then stepped back in and returned to work. One of the other dinners, a nice older man that was a regular, got up from his chair and went to pay his check. He turned to Helen as he went to leave and said something to her in Swedish. I never knew what she had said, or what his comment to her was, but the laughter from him and the red in her cheeks said it all! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is funny. I always think people are talking about me when they are speaking another language.

Ok... I'm off to go pick up my pizza... I'm not cooking if I have this much cleaning to do...

Hey Kaylee???

Where do you fit 14 loads of wash????? :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: (suddenly I have to find a place for all this crap!!!)

Of course you have to be at WDW to get this one...

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 and I took four years in high school and one in college.

So far as I heard last... my sister was at the airport... talked to her she was in line at the ticket counter... haven't heard anything else.. so I guess they got on a plane... she was taking a ticket to anywhere (apparently Albany is not on her list yet... ) She's probably going to Phoenix since she already had a flight out today for a conference and was going to take Brian with her... after that... I have no idea...

As for me... I took a very long nap because Claire woke me up after only 3 hours of good sleep...woke up because John is cutting our grass right outside my window....:rotfl: Better him than me...

Mom and I will be spending this anxious time cleaning in anticipation of having them come eventually.. The National weather service is saying they could have catastrophic winds and water and that people in their region should prepare for massive flooding... So... I will clear the extra room of all my wash and suitcases from my trip to Houston LAST week!!! And then I will settle in and watch the storm with the rest of them... I can't believe I was just there last week... I am glad they got out... :grouphug:

Ike looks like it's going to be way more dangerous than Hanna. I'm sooooooooooooo glad you're not there and that they decided to do the right thing and get out this time! What about Brian's older brother? You didn't mention him leaving.:confused3

For all that were interested: My fingerprints are not in yet and I'm so mad. The other lady that is going to do my job started already and she was hired 2 days after me. So maybe I'm a mass murderer and forgot about it! I called the school district to find out if there was anything I still needed to do and the lady yelled at me. She said "I told you not to report until I called and told you that you were clear". I have to take my kids to school and that is the only reporting that I have done :confused3 They ask me when my finger prints will be in and I say "I don't know". Does that sound like reporting to anyone?

The other bad news is that Ethan's teacher's wife is a flight attendant and they have 3 young children. I knew at Back-to-School night that it was going to be a problem because he told us that he was pretty much a single parent. I overreacted and Jon calmed me down. They have been in school for three weeks and the teacher has been out 8 times. He is gone this entire week and he missed three days before this. I'm his room parent and parents are coming up to me trying to get a schedule to volunteer and I can't even help them because he hasn't given me the numbers to call everyone and how can he if he is never going to be there. I'm concerned. I'm hoping it gets better because I don't want to be "THAT" mom that has her child switched every year. I owe the last two teachers for Ethan's education. They really helped him and cared a lot about him. I don't think having different subs is going to be in his benefit.

Glad to hear they evacuated :thumbsup2

We will certainly be there for 4 days before the cruise, but might stretch that depending on the flights!!!

As a group, we must try and book a meal together. (Well not Michelle of course as she hasn't decided yet!:lmao: )

Love the photos Cherie. thanks for staying up to show us.

We should definitely plan a "do" in WDW for all of us.

WOW, why did that lady yell at you just for calling in and following up. What a be-atch she is......I would NOT want to be around her for any length of time. That family needs to make some changes. Some one needs to be available for those small kids and it's not going to be a teacher who is already responsible for a classroom full of kids......one of those parents needs a career change!

How can that teacher keep his job with so many absences. On all the jobs that I worked on.......in the days when I did work........sick days were given but never to be taken.........you had better be in the hospital. I can't believe that the teacher is getting away with that.

So it looks like everyone is doing WDW before the cruise. If we don't change our plans, we're going to miss out on meeting up with all of you there. We will have to plan some meals together on the ship.....in addition to sharing a dinner table.;) :) :cutie:
