I'm just jumping in to say "hi" and "I'm baaaaaack!" to everyone!

Ian and Sukie's party was wonderful. We had a *little* trouble finding the park :lmao: but once we arrived, Kelly put us all to work :goodvibes and it looked beautiful for the grooms! Thanks, Kelly, for all the work you went to to make it festive and fun!

Paul, Nan and family chauffeured the grooms to the event, and even though it was on the warm side, they consented to wear their wedding outfits so we could see them in all their splendor!

The cupcakes were wonderful, as was the cake (I had to try a tiny slice!). The cake toppers, as well as the back-up cake toppers added to the table decor. Gayleen made THE BEST SALSA I'VE EVEN TASTED IN MY LIFE!!! Too bad it got spilled before Bubba could try some!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: All the rest of the food, salads, sushi, eggs, etc. was delicious. We watched a beautiful sunset, had a chance to catch up with our cruise buds and even got to do a little dancing!

Jackie and I got to have breakfast with Bubba and Venetia the next morning (how they made it so early I have no idea, since they were partying until 2 a.m.!) and we got to spend some DL time with Nan & family before they had to leave for home. The rest of that day and the next we got to run around DL and CA with the grooms. I never would have guessed that Sukie so LOVED having his picture taken! I got some great shots!

I wish everyone could have been there for the fun! I thought about everyone back on the boards while we were partying.

Stay tuned for photos from the "official photographer" later today/tonight. I have to do a few errands now, finish laundry, and pull myself together to leave again on Friday.

Friday was supposed to be a trip to MI for my nephew's wedding but right after I dropped Jackie off last night I got a call from him saying that the wedding had been postponed. There's WAYYYY more to the story, but the bottom line (as of right now) is that on Friday my sisters and I are either going to MI anyway or going to Hermosa Beach, CA for the weekend. So I have to be ready to travel either east or west! Stay tuned.....
Welcome back! Glad you had such a great weekend! :goodvibes

Looking forward to you pictures!

If you do come to MI, be prepared, summer is long gone and it's COLD. Tonight it's supposed to get down in the low 40s(F). Brrrrr!

I think I forgot to mention that along with the paperwork to send in for our certified wedding license, the state of California gave Sukie and I a very helpful booklet to advise us on what to expect and do during a pregnancy.

I'm not entirely sure that we'll ever really need that booklet, but is was very considerate of California all the same.

GRRR!! I had to call and yelll at Disney today. We are going down a day before the cruise and I wanted to surprise my family by staying at Disney since we get in around 3. So I booked POP last night but then found out DCL doesn't pick up there. OK fine. This moring I called to switch it to Carribean Beach handicap room. They said ok its done and I paid. I happened to check the reservation this afternoon and noticed it said Pop still. So I called back and they said I hadn't switched it and it showed I had 2 rooms.and they were sold out. I said its not sold out and I paid for it after me putting my foot down and demanding they fix it they got it fixed. The lady was great but I was getting very upset. Its fixed but my mom knows about it since she walked in on the conversation but she hates suprises so its ok.

On the bright side we got my dad to try a wheelchair and he likes it as he can get around faster. Now he WANTS an electric one!! Mom is going to get him one before the cruise so he can ride around. This is a great improvment and shows he is finally accepting is Parkinsons.
:headache: What a hassle you had with Disney! Glad it got straightened out though. Good going! :thumbsup2

Great news about your dad's optimism! :goodvibes

Sorry Cherie and Jackie... I'm fighting you guys over dining rights with the guys!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, I'll have to sit at the 'family' table....but I want everyone else at the tables surrounding me! This can be arranged, BTW ::yes::

Hope Cheri posts pictures tonight, she has some great ones. :thumbsup2

I just looked at flights from Phoenix to London (using next June)....ouch! Round trip is nearly as much as a 7 day cruise in a Cat 11 for me.:sad2: Of course, I already know I only want to fly British Airways...they have one non-stop a day from Phoenix. The one way was about $1300.

Ah well, I know I'll still book something in October for 2010....just in case!

Hi Holly! How are you feeling tonight? How is Tyler?
Howdy Deb! I'm feeling awesome, as usual, and Tyler's at his dad's, but we had fun together. He had a great time in karate class and I'm not sure about his school day because his teacher left sick after lunch and there was a substitute, so I didn't talk to her. I actually didn't see her because after she got the kids out the door and saw they were all either on the bus or headed towards a parent, she went back inside. But another teacher saw him and congratulated him for not being in the office today, so it must not have been that bad! ;) I just pretended it was a good day and left it at that.

I was way too busy at work today to even email Tyler's dad about signing up for scouts and to ask him if he'd be able to take him to the monthly Saturday morning pack meetings. Well, when I dropped Tyler off over there today, his stepmom was just pulling in at the same time, dad was still on the way home from work. He's about falling over himself trying to get out of the car as quickly as he can, so he can run screaming up the sidewalk to Sheilah, "GUESS WHAT! I'M A TIGER CUB NOW!" :rotfl2: She said, "Oh really?" and looked at me with one eyebrow cocked up. I explained to her that this just happened last night and I haven't had a chance to email his dad yet because I still don't know all the details. Good grief. I'll be in contact with him first thing in the morning.

So at least the Ice Queen finally spoke to me! :rotfl2: It was only a couple words, but there was EYE CONTACT too! :lmao:

Oh crud, I just noticed Tyler's library books sitting here. They're due tomorrow and if he doesn't return them tomorrow he won't be allowed to pick more on Friday during library time. I'll have to run them up to the school on my lunch hour tomorrow because the school won't be open for me to drop them off before work. :guilty:

OK, I'm headed to bed. Too pooped to stay up longer. Well, actually, I just want to read in bed for an hour or so before going to sleep. Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Hi Shelly, I think that's a great thing! We all love each other and we know we'll have such fun together. You MUST be on that cruise with all of us! C'mon!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

After I inform Marilyn... I'll let you know... how about that???? :rotfl:

Still here, forgot one thing. Tyler's favorite karate instructor is leaving to go to college next week. She just graduated high school back in June but has been working lots of extra hours over the summer to save up some spending money for college. She's only 18 and is a 4th degree black belt and has won titles at world championships. She's awesome! She's the only one who's very strict with the kids and doesn't let them get away with acting goofy. And she's also the only one who Tyler responds to, as far as paying attention and really trying his hardest to do the moves. We're both very sad that she's leaving. The owner of the school has asked everybody to sign a giant goodbye card that he's making with pictures attached of her with each student if they choose to add a picture. So we snapped this pic today:

LATEST PERSONAL UPDATE FROM TEXAS...

my sister has promised me that if they tell her to leave she will...:worship: but she still refuses to take my grandmother's painting out of the frame and put it in her suitcase...it's only like... 10 x 16 inches... :confused3

they are evacuating parts of Galveston tonight - and they have declared a state of emergency in Clear Lake where she lives... schools are closed for the next 2 days at least.

No idea whether she has bought any food or water... she gets very frustrated when I ask... so I've stopped... if she didn't learn after getting stuck from Rita... with her 6 pack of coke and a bag of Dorritos popcorn:: that she had to bribe someone to get... that's her prob...

I told Brian to take his bear and puppy I gave him... yes I know he's a teenager... but with a storm this big...you need all the friends and comfort you can get.

Thanks for reading... I must go and tune in... I hear Mike Cantore from the Weather Channel is headed to Galveston...

Stay tuned... :surfweb:

Can I just say how much I love you guys :grouphug: and how proud I am that we have respected each others quirks, differences and points of view? We may have had a few moments of tension here and there over the 16 or so months before the cruise, but I'd say we get good marks for "Plays Well With Others".

I'm glad that THIS was the cruise I chose. ::yes::

yes, reading more drama on the high seas prompted this post.

A few pics from my TX weekend... (only the confirmation part...well, and dinner...)

A very proud grammy...

Hi Jill! :goodvibes I think Tyler had a good day today and my migraines are doing a good job staying away. :thumbsup2 I had just a headache for a couple hours yesterday, but it never turned into a migraine. I very rarely have just a headache, so it was strange, but nice to not be miserable.

OK, back to bed now. Just got up for a drink and had to check and see if I missed anything.

Michelle, great pictures, handsome boys! :goodvibes
