Hi all thought I would check in - went to Gainesville this passed weekend and stayed in orlando on Fri and Sat night (we had a free condo stay) so it cut our drive time short for the game which was nice. We had a blast at the game, the girls are getting so big!

We have TS Hanna, TS Ike and TS Josephine all in the works down here. Hopefully no one is cruising anytime soon. I just pray they stay away from Florida!

hope everyone is well. Work is a bit stressfull, we have another mandatory pto day last Friday. We are heading to Gainesville Sat for the game and ESPN Gameday will be there....LOOK for us, we usually end up getting on TV and the girls will be on John's shoulders I am sure!

Miss you guys....any reunion cruises planned?
HEY V! Great to see you here! Thanks for the birthday greeting on myspace. I didn't see it until way after because I never remember to check there or facebook. ;)

Glad you had a fun weekend and another fun one coming up! :goodvibes

Yes, my coworker is cruising in a couple weeks, then comes home for a week and cruises again. :thumbsup2 The purposely pick this time of year because of the great discounts they usually end up getting because of weather delays.

If you think you're sad now just wait until her first day. I cried like a baby :sad1:
I was just the opposite. I was sooo happy because it seemed like he was finally growing up. And the day care costs were such a major problem, it was a huge relief to have those go away for a good part of the year. :thumbsup2

I recommend taking a picture on the first day each year. Its cute to be able to compare the first days as they grow up :thumbsup2

We took pictures this morning in the living room, right in front of our front door, same place as last year. Totally by accident, but now I'm going to try to remember to do it in the same spot every year too.

Monica - I went and saw Anne Franks house when I lived in Holland and it was fascinating ::yes:: Ken came and visited me, but I didn't take him there and he was annoyed when he found out we could have gone there instead of Rotterdam :lmao: :lmao:
I enjoyed the Anne Frank house too on a visit in the late 80s. :thumbsup2 Very cool to see!

Cheri,

These are for you, not quite high school. Actually I was 18 and 19, it was my freshman and sophomore years of college:

Hello Everyone:thumbsup2

My god I have to catch up the pages.

I had a bad news from my brother this morning that our friend died at the Heathrow airport after came back from holiday. She was waiting for another flight from Heathrow to Aberdeen. I was shocking to heard that news and I feel sad again! She just had a 60th party same time while we were on the Cruise.

I don't know what happened as suddenly died - look like heart attack. I cannot image that after the holiday.:sad2:

Sorry another sad news, I just wish to have some happy news!!

 Deborah, I'm so sorry about your friend. How awful. :sad1:

Holly - did you ever hear back about the deal on that pricey migraine med?

Thought of you cuz I went to CVS to pick up my med & it's now $50 for 18 tablets....and that's with the insurance :scared1:
No, I'm still waiting. Shoot, I'd be happy to pay $50 for 18. Mine was almost $300 for 12!

Ian, I hope you're still here! Took me a long time to catch up! I just want to wish you & Sukie safe travels, best wishes and lots of love for your wedding day and weekend. :lovestruc :grouphug: :lovestruc :grouphug: :lovestruc I'm so very sad I can't be there, but really happy for you both and look forward to seeing pictures and hearing all about it. Such a major event should keep our thread busy for long afterwards! :yay: Just know that I'll be with you both in spirit, I'll be thinking of you both all day, and I'll surely toast you when I get home from work.

Love to you both! :goodvibes

I can't wait until Mom comes upstairs... she's gonna love them!!!!

Michelle - you home? Have you decided yet about CA?

I had some friends that lived in Barstow for many years - I even visited them there.

Lisa & Deb - (mostly Lisa I guess) - I don't plan to be working that weekend so I'm good for just about anything...Lisa--do you want to make that decision since you need to drive?

Deb - thanks for the pm....I think your idea is FAB!! Thanks also for all the kind words :goodvibes

How about Saturday then so we can stay later :thumbsup2

Deb - Any idea where you want to meet? Is this a park day for you guys?
We are totally flexible about where to go.

Deborah - to you and your family.

V, thanks for posting those adorable pictures of the girls! We all miss seeing their faces! :goodvibes

Good morning all and you all across the pond.

Stayed up very late watching all the drama about the storm and Sarah Palin play out on the news and working on my computer. We've decided that Zoe is old enough to watch the first 3 Star Wars movies, so that has been fun each night. Last night was the last night of DL being open late during the weeknights and no more nightly fireworks until the weekends and holidays. It's always a sad night for us to hear them for the last time before school starts. I'm working 16 hours per day now frantically working on all the new presentations and feeling the crunch of school.

We're off to DL to the Princess Faire this morning. 2 more days till Kindergarten begins... which means I'm really feeling the ambivalence of letting go of her. No more mid-week DL during the quiet of the school year. It's been a great 5 years of going in the mornings. When she was 1-2 years old we would go over to CA and let her learn to walk from character to character. :sad1:

Hey Kelly... at the store in Tomorrowland... I got a Minnie Princess Lea!!!:goodvibes

Michelle: I quote from the Country Club site:

The White Beeches Golf and Country Club golf course traces its origins back to two separate nine hole courses which were being played on the site as early as 1902. The Club we know today, The White Beeches Golf and Country Club, named in honor of the beech trees that line the course, was incorporated in 1918. Shortly after it was organized the club purchased the two nine holes courses, putting them together to make an 18 hole course. In 1920 the course was redesigned by the world renowned golf course architect Walter J. Travis.

So, when did she bury it? Sounds like a trip to the course is in order to find out where the 9th green WAS that year!

I found the map, you find the detective to do the legwork. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Jan :lmao:

Hmmmm---:rolleyes1 maybe KEN and CO. can be the detectives to do the legwork! :scratchin

Jan

Oh I definately think Ken should be involved... and he better bring his camera... well, no...maybe not... I don't want to document us getting arrested... :rolleyes1

Michelle - you home? Have you decided yet about CA?

Hi Monica...

Yes we are home... An no... unfortunately, the decision was made last week due to waiting for Gustav and the fact that my ditzy BIL got us tickets for TODAY and not tomorrow... we needed to come home.

I told Ian, Nan and Kelly last week... Ian thought it would be best to not mention it until someone asked.

I still held out hope that I might make it. But after waiting for that darned storm that never came and dealing with my family about when to or not to evacuate and to where... (I was thinking Idaho...) the tension and the stress has put me in a period of exhaustion and pain.

I did make it there for Brian's confirmation... I will try to post pics in the next few days... And I am grateful for that.

I will be there in spirit making witty remarks to try and keep up with Sukie... I will send my heart, but the rest of me has to stay here... :sad1:

& while we are Ohhhing and Ahhhhing over pictures...

Marilyn... Guess who... aged 2... :cutie:

& yes, my mother did do my hair that day...

Oh, how cute! :goodvibes I need to find the cute one from when I was 2 1/2. I'd look now, but am afraid of waking Tyler up while I scrounge through boxes in my closet. He was asleep shortly after 7:30 tonight. Tired guy! And he's dreaming about school because I heard him talking in his sleep and all I could understand was "classroom". ;)

Well, I'm headed to bed. Super worn out. It was 94F today and it about killed me. Wipes me out. Good news about weather though: tomorrow is only supposed to be around 80F and then a storm tomorrow evening and the next few days after that only in the high 60s & low 70s!!!! YAY! That's my kind of weather. :thumbsup2
