If anybody's interested, I have a signed EB Ducky Litho (my extra), that could be traded for a signed WB Ducky Litho. PM me if interested.

I doubt his dad would do much because he hasn't gotten involved with one single thing Tyler's done yet because he always says when he gets out of work he's tired and wants to just go home and unwind. That's the response I've gotten when I've asked if he would like to take him to some of the karate classes on his nights and occupational therapy (partly to give me a break from doing the running around every Mon, Tues, and Wed and partly to get him to be a part of these things). Boohoo, dad's tired. So fricking what? We all are, aren't we?

I know I am but you have to do it because it isn't the kids fault they are here. It is yours and his and mine and every other parent. It's all about the kids now. That is why I really respect people that know they can't do and don't.

Hisselfenss and I went to an outdoor mall this afternoon, just to get out of the house.

So, he decides he wants to go to Abercrombie and look at clothing. I've tried to convince him that at his age he should start to consider wearing a nice polyester that can be easily sponged down, but he never listens to me.

I have a question ... since when did people who work in shops stop dressing like store clerks and start dressing like they hang out on the street? I wish they would stop it, because it confuses me.

Here we are looking at some stuff in Abercrombie when this young guy in a tee shirt, scruffy hair and flip-flops comes over and says, "Hey, how are you guys doing?"

I said to him, "Excuse me, do you work here, and are you trying to help us, or are you shopping here and trying to pick us up? In which case, aren't we a tad old for you?"

I told you, this casualness confuses me.

It turned out he was a store clerk. And, here I thought he wanted to be our pal. Since when to store clerks wear flip-flops and tee shirts?

Sukie was in rare form in the mall. I think he vaccinated himself this morning with a victrola needle. He would simply not shut up. Plus he was saying the most horrible things, and not using his inside voice.

At one point I stopped dead and I said, "If you don't settle down and behave yourself this instant I'm taking you back to the car!"

He wanted to know if he was annoying me. I told him that he has sailed past annoying 40 minutes earlier and well on way to euthanasia.

I think he is all keyed up over the upcoming vacation. He suddenly started asking questions, such as, "Where is Disneyland?"

It was just another Labor Day out with the folks.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I love the "Tales of Shopping with Sukie"

Umm, what is there besides Dairy Queen and a McDonald's? What were you thinking :lmao:

There's a Wal-mart and a lot of gas stations too! Seriously - that's it.

I odn't know what we were thinking - seemed like a good idea at the time.

Don't worry we've done that too. How come things always seem good at the time. You were closer to Vegas so that's not completely horrible.

I'm going to watch what I can only assume is a rerun of Prison Break and hope I don't fall asleep again tonight.

This is the litho that the EBers got. It's nice, but I like ours better, at least for me (NotSoLittleMermaid).

Yes it is Z-brick (in case Shannon hasn't replied yet). If we ever look at another house and it has the crap on the walls we will not buy the house. Sorry I hate the stuff - especially in a kitchen!

Got most of the bricks off but we have to worry about the adhesive that was used and hopefully scrape it off.

I took out the island counter this morning. Discovered the previous owners put down a new subfloor and lino on top of the old lino around the counters. So we have small sections that are now lower than the rest of the floor where the counters were.

Little project keeps getting bigger. Isn't that the way it always. Time to get back to it as it is halftime in the football game.

Yup!! ::yes::

We took out a half wall one time to make a kitchen-diningroom out of a kitchen and diningroom. I had one son helping and when the other got home from school he said "You've got to STOP because Dad will be MAD!:scared1: " When we didn't stop he went to his room and shut the door.

When Tom got home Ted stayed with him -- for safety I guess.

I would go in to them and report the progress:

There's good news and there's bad news:
The wall is down :thumbsup2
but there is a hole in the wall. :sad2:

There's good news and there's bad news:
The base 2 x 4 is off the floor :thumbsup2
and there is a hole in the floor. :sad2:

Tom had an idea of how to fix the floor and I can mud pretty well so I fixed the wall. The new wallpaper and flooring covered the situation well.

It's always something.....

 hang in there and remember to not let it make you mad at each other!

Jan :woohoo:

...and in case he checks in...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOODY!

.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOODY!!!!!

Jan...a quick response before I head out to grab some food.

For the WDW marathon and half marathon and I think the 5K's, you have to be able to do a 15 minute mile AVERAGE to avoid being swept up the the 'straggler truck'! ;)

Or the 3:00 parade... :rotfl2:

Ooooooh, Woody, we didn't know.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Wherever you are!!!

What she said Woody!!!

Cupcake? twinkie?

I was tempted to call you Sweet Cheeks but I thought V would leave me in Cabo...

For us its more the unknown since we haven't been through one we have no idea what to expect.

We'll be grocery shopping tomorrow night to stock up for it ahead of the crowds hopefully.

Lisa... best of thoughts since I just went through this... I suggest all the sensible things you are supposed to keep in and also a 5 lb bag of M&M's... that should hold you...

Ummm, We always catch fish. No boat either. Shore fishing at the lakes and stream fishing. I think V and I caught about 100 fish a day last time we went! Released most of those as I dont eat um.

Bubba... if you can hold out until next year... you could try fishing in the Adirondacks if I get my house... :thumbsup2 (make sure you bring V too... we can sit on the deck and watch you from there (with a nice Chardonnay and some cheese...)

I wonder if I could manage the 85 night world cruise?

With or without hisselfness??? Cause the Cove cafe bill alone could be a killer!!!

Hey Bubba, if you go fishing in the Sierras, I'll go with you.

(I bet known of you would have suspected that I like fishing...)

Ian.. you are invited too... but you have to handle your own worms... :sad2:

Bubba, you are a veritable vision of loveliness.

We'd be disappointed if you don't show up. You don't want to get Sukie PO'd. Believe me ... I've seen it. It ain't pretty.

Why thank you!!! And the last thing I'd do is get Sukie p i s s ed! Have you seen the cane that guy carries around????:scared1:

Just leave the pink wig home.. he hates to be upstaged... ;)
