I'm so excited and anxious for the wedding of the century. September is such a great time of the year to get married. John and me will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary this month. We also celebrate the anniversary of our first date in April every year. Just like Nan said, you get to celebrate both dates each year, why not! I say, the more the merrier!

Can a person be "dating" for 21 years?

I just never thought marriage would happen in my lifetime.

I'm was beginning to feel a bit like Adelaide's Lament from Guys and Dolls:

I'm back - IKEA was a zoo! I haven't seen it that crazy since opening week! VERY glad to be out of there!

I did get my chair---and the foot rest that goes with it. Now just need to put it together---maybe later.

Ok about Baskin Robbins---my 1st job....celebrated my 16th bday at work w/ 2 guys that I had crushes on...1 I ended up dating, and the 2nd ended up being my prom date :lovestruc

Deb--are we going to try to get together while you're here??

WAY TO GO WILSON!!

Well, that had to be a favorite job of yours then :lovestruc

I just had a nice reunion phone call with my 1st boyfriend :lovestruc My high school is having a multi class reunion and I google my old beau and sent him an email last night and he called.

We dated until he went away to college (UC Davis) and he then met his future wife and married her his last year in college. I often think of how I dodged that bullet. I can't even think of my life on fast forward with kids in my 20s instead of 30s with Paul.

It was a nice talk. Found out he lost his dad from liver cancer in 99, that part was sad of course.

He was the pilot that I first dated. I took my first flight lesson from his older brother who was an instructor, he now flys for United.

Interesting walk down memory lane....

Mon, what does the chair look like, linkie please :flower3:

Hi Monica, thanks for all the good wishes. Yes, John is a keeper.....when we said vows to take care of each other in sickness and health, I didn't know that the sickness part was going to last a whole year......!!!.....Ian, Sukie, take notes!!!

We've been through a lot in 21 years, so I know what you mean.

About 5 years ago I had to have emergency surgery, and was in the hospital for nearly a week. I don't know who needed the comforting more, Sukie or me. Actually he did. I was the one on morphine, but he was a mess.

A couple of years ago while at work I started having chest pains, and got carted off to the hospital.

I told my boss that she should call Sukie and not the office manager. The office manager was quicker and gave Sukie the wrong hospital information.

He called looking for me can could not find me. I think he had to be peeled off the ceiling.

I'm not quite sure how he finally found the right hospital.

Funny story - Sukie once got carted off to the hospital. He was lying on a gurney and during the intake they asked him if he was allergic to anything. He said, "Yes, bad taste."

Molly can recite those words by heart...remember she did Guys and Dolls last summer.

Are you sniffling? And she marries in the end ya know ;)

Wilson qualified 2nd and kept 2nd at his heat race. :yay: :yay: :yay: The main is at ~1:30 pm and we have our fingers crossed. Normally he runs 4th or 5th with this crowd, but since he is at his home track he is doing really well. Also last weekend we all got on him for not taking the inside line on this one corner to push someone out and pass and ya know what, he did it this time :thumbsup2 He kept arguing that he was driving the perfect line which is fastest, but we said it was no good since he couldn't force a pass, so it was really good that he took the risk and made the pass :thumbsup2

That is really terrific news. He must be awfully proud. You must be awfully proud.

(or are you all just awfully awful?)

HE DID IT!!!!!

WILSON TOOK 2nd PLACE!!!!!

THIS IS SUCH A GOOD DAY FOR HIM.

I wish I was there to give him a big hug!!!!

I get to see them in about 3 hours, I think we might make a celebration for him to come home to.

This is the best place he has had in the IKF series. This is the race series that we travel all around Northern Ca for. WOW, such a great day, I'm so proud of him

I should have read forward....
Congratulations Wilson!!!!

Yeah, except look who she got, and look who I'm getting. I feel like I've raided a nursing home.

I got the black cushion (foot stool has right combo).

So I just tried to make a dinner resie for Ohana at the Poly for our anniversary night......nope.....sold out already and it's not even Sept yet and I'm making a reservation for a Monday night at the end of Sept. Wow! I had no idea I had to do it so far in advance. Not sure where we'll end up going that night now. Any ideas?:confused3

Since the Dining Plan started it is getting harder and harder to get reservations. And resort guests can make reservations 180 days out - which I think is way too far!! How will I know what I want to eat 6 months out :confused3 Most days I can't even decide before leaving to go to work - probably why we eat out a lot :thumbsup2

  Way To Go Wilson

Drive down here to Orlando - it's near the Mall of the Mallinia (or however you spell it :lmao: )

They even have a Labor Day special for a sofa...

http://www.ikea.us/

Problem is we drive a Corolla - so we may have to rent a U-Haul if the store we buy at doesn't offer local delivery so we don't want to try going that far.

I may stop in while we're down there somtime though as I love all the little things they have too!

Marilyn,

I have to admit, you had me scratching my head, wondering why you posted this. Then I remembered what I posted on Facebook yesterday! :rotfl2:

Thanks!

Thanks for clearing that one up. I had to go to Facebook to see that you posted IAN IS CHASING RAINBOWS. Wheew, what a relief, one less thing to worry about.....:confused3
