Harry always gets teased at work about our DCL cruises and WDW trips. It's hard to explain our obsession with the mouse. People just don't understand.:confused3 We figure it's their loss.:goodvibes

I can't answer this because when we got home all of our friends and people we didn't even know that well kept asking how we afforded to go on Disney. A lot of them take other cruise lines and others do other vacations but thought that Disney was out of price range for them. We knew one family that flew to WDW and stayed for two weeks. Going to all the parks and staying at WDW. I know they paid more than us but just assumed the cruise was too much. We do have kids though so that may be different. And my friend, who went on a week long DCL cruise said it was too much for her. She didn't like the characters and she hated how nice the food was :confused3 And she has two kids.

We just find it a really nice and relaxing escape.

I asked Sukie if he would be interested in trying another cruise line and he said said he wouldn't. Not that he really likes to try new things, but he does enjoy DCL so much.

I know we also really like going to WDW ... after all, we became DVC members!

I wish I'd met you because I just don't believe that! :lmao:

You met me. A few times. You came up to me at a restaurant and were showing me around the buffet, not topsiders the other one. Plus a few other times. I never said I was shy, it was others.

I can't imagine it being any better anywhere else but I'm sure it would be cheaper. If he likes it and is willing to keep going, I would stick to Disney. Plus :disrocks:

Must say that my family doesn't really understand me either....My dad doesn't seem to understand why I would go on DCL if they do the Northern European cruises....I said "why not"?? I know the ship, I know what quality to expect, etc.

The way I look at things - if I can do the more "grown up" trips but still incorporate Disney, why not?? When I went to Paris in 2003 with a friend who had never been, I told her being that close I needed to go to DLP. I want to do Japan (WWII stuff) & Hong Kong too (culture etc) BUT you'd better believe that I'll be going into all the Disney parks too!

The gay cruise part made me think of Under the Tuscan Sun - when Diane Lane went on the gay tour of romantic Tuscany.

I can't say I'm familiar with Under the Tuscan Sun.

We did see the documentary about Rosies Big Fat Boat or whatever the Rosie O'Donnell thing was.

We had zero desire to go on one of her cruises. I'd have to hold myself back from administering radical slap therapy to some of the other passengers.

:rotfl2: Well, it isn't as cold as Alaska to be sure, and can actually be hot at times, but living in the North of England and with the kind of summers we have had recently it doesn't appeal. I think the architecture etc would be amazing though.

You don't go sunbathing on the moors?

Hello! I did not say I had a beer in hand. I said what you said. I think I need one now though so goodbye for now.

I figured that's why you were going to the store. This is kind of like a party, right? Lets start celebrating early for the wedding of a life time :rolleyes1

I heard that she lets anyone go on the ship and some people go to be mean. Who would do that?
