That kind of stuff doesn't bother me Shannon - even the nail polish is OK and no big deal. But the eye shadow, mascarra, lipstick (instead of gloss), high heels, short skirts, and belly shirts! Ughhhhhh!

I agree. A while ago we were watching some show about beauty pageants for little girls and its very disturbing what they do these children (hair, makeup, false teeth, clothes that belong on a 20yr old) - I was so happy Shaelyn thought it looked weird. Kaleigh (DD3) thought it looked fun and wanted to sing like those girls :scared1:

That's very sad. Tyler honestly believes that Mickey is bringing surprises to him every Saturday! :lmao: One time he got a Pirates of the Caribbean puzzle and just a couple days ago he saw that puzzle at Dollar Tree :rolleyes1 . He said, very excitedly, "Mom! You're NOT going to believe this!" Runs over, pulling me by the hand, to show me the puzzle that he got. "This is the puzzle I got from Mickey! Mickey must have gone shopping here!" :rotfl2: I told him, "Wow, that's cool!" ;)

I love it when a kid does that. Molly was like that. Wilson wised up earlier but then he understood that we play the game of make believe so we can continue to enjoy some of lifes small pleasures...like Santa Clause and the tooth fairy.:wizard:

You sound just like Ken. I was quite naive as a teenager, but he was much more mature - it'll be his job to anticipate anything our girls will get into!

Yup.

I could see Ken, myself, Steve (Kim's DH),and my friend John2 (V's John) cleaning our rifles and sharpening our hunting knives in a circle . . .

Tell Ken I said Hello Shannon - even with two weeks we never got enough time to talk - almost everyone on 2nd seating we did not see as much.

We did have some good champagne didn't we! All Girls! So much fun!:lmao: :lmao:
I'm so sad I wasn't able to come. Damned beeper from the kids' club. :headache: I have my tiara though! I keep it in my bedroom and am determined to wear it at some girls' night out event! :thumbsup2

I'm glad she was brave!!! Must be such a good feeling like when you did the rapelling!!! Are they going with you next September then?

Marilyn, I'm doing the Tortola cruise solo, but Sara is joining me for the following week for the Western. Her husband does not want to cruise :confused3 but doesn't mind her joining me as long as it's just for the one week, so they can still plan one vacation together. I'm really looking forward to sharing this experience with her :goodvibes

Hi Marilyn and Kathe! I've popped on and off a couple times today, its seems pretty quiet today.

Kathe, sounds like you and your daughter could tackle an adventuresome excursion in Sept. :) Maybe eventually I'll try zipline or rappelling - it looks fun, I'm just becoming more of a chicken as I get older.

Shannon, It's funny, in my youth I loved the wild upside down coasters, etc. But after having kids, I grew very protective and suddenly saw the dangers in life   I hadn't been on a coaster in years until I went to WDW for the first time in 2000. Since it was DISNEY, I had to try everything! I was terrified of Space Mountain and TOT but loved everything else. I get braver every year! Both my kids love scary rides, but they have not had much experience with other "outdoor challenges", and my daughter takes after me a lot, although she doesn't like to admit it  So when I chose to try new experiences during our cruise, my family was very surprised. So...don't rule out things because you're a little timid now, you never know, you might change when you're old like me ;)

Kathe

Brooke's toe nails are painted all the time. I admit that I have taken her for a pedicure twice :rolleyes1 She likes for me to put her eyelashes up which means to curl them. She is a girlie girl but she doesn't like to show skin, yet

That sounds like a nice Mommy/Daughter time :) It is fun to do some of that stuff with daughters. I do love the excitement when I let them wear the colour change nailpolish I bought in Aruba!:)

YES! I LOVE that you found them.....how appropriate!
Actually, Tyler found them, by accident. He was going for the bright blue (his favorite color) and I gave the OK because the clerk said they were one of the lower priced frames. Only when she was entering our order into the computer did Tyler notice the word Disney on it and the Mickey heads! Too cool!

Here's one of my favorite pictures from the cruise . . .

Sophia and Savannah . . .

Two little girls being little girls.

They make those high heeled dress up shoes too small! they only fit when they're 1-2 and can't properly balance on them  ( or maybe my kids just have big feet!)

Brooke wears a 1 and she can't fit anymore. They use to be too small but she could put them on and her foot would hang off. NOT ANYMORE. Her feet are too wide :sad2:

We're going somewhere in 2010, destination to be determined!
Its a delicious creamy:thumbsup2 , chocolatey:thumbsup2 , vodka beverage sold by the bottle like a cooler:thumbsup2 . They also make a banana one that is fantastic but harder to find :(

Well let me know when you find out your state room number and I will be over for a drink! I'm bringing a big dry erase board this time!

I think those pageants are disgusting and that's exactly the type of pageant Tyler's cousin (the one I posted about a bit earlier) started doing when she was 3. She's also often in the Meijer ads for clothes or toys (Meijer is a huge grocery store chain in our area). They've been running a picture of her sitting in the Barbie Jeep for about a year now. Good grief.

Oh are belly shirts still in? I was hoping those would be out fast!

Wow, you have a good memory! Yup, we dated from when I was about 16 - 24. :lovestruc He came up to visit me a while back, but I sort of backed off a bit because he was WAY too needy. And during that time when I backed off for about a week, he found a girlfriend and has been with her for about a month. He's very newly divorced, and still has bitter feelings, so I think he just wants somebody to help him get over that. I just didn't want to be that rebound person. But I got back in touch with him after a couple weeks because we've known each other for over 20 years, and had such great chemistry back then, I see no reason why we can't stay friends. It wasn't fun hearing about his girlfriend, how he told her just a couple weeks ago that he's falling in love with her, and was looking at engagement rings. :sad1: But I really think they're moving way too fast, too soon after an ugly divorce, and somehow have a feeling they won't last permanently.

Anyway, I just want to stay friends with him, keeping in touch whenever we can, because we have such a great history. :thumbsup2

I was wondering what happened with him.......thanks for filling us in.......it sounds like you did the right thing. You can't be in love with everyone you date.......especially so soon after a divorce.

I saw you brought up Alexandro's name again. I remember him. Snake!

What ever happened to the guy that lives far that just got his daughter living with him? Do you keep in touch with him?

How about Michael Phelps???

How amazing was that????
