I just loaded all 24 of my pictures from last night on classmates.com for our class to see. I could see NO other option on that site than to upload each picture one at a time. That sucked. Now I just have to e-mail all the pictures to 2 people who don't go to that website and who asked me to send them the pics directly. THEN I can go to bed, finally! :goodvibes

Ya mean this baby???:goodvibes

Ya know, I don't know if I had this one but I did post some shots of the sub on my photobucket account. Went into it last week and those particular shots have disappeared from my photo account. It was rather strange.

Didn't know what to make of that but decided that maybe Big Brother was watching. It really was Twilight Zone. I still have them on my laptop but decided against posting onto a public thread.

Wow, that's crazy!

Way too tired to stay awake any longer. Goodnight all! :cloud9:

If you got me to do that, they would have to peel you off the carpet like Wyle E. Coyote . . .

Cherie . . . what kind of a car did you get? I probably missed that.

I just ordered a new car for us last week. We currently have a Ford Freestyle, and mileage is not so great. We like the vehicle though. We have three months left on our lease, and we only have 17,000 of the 30,000 miles we are allowed. We have not been driving much lately.

I ordered a Ford Escape Hybrid - Front wheel drive. 34 mpg city, and 28 mpg highway. They told me it will be at LEAST 90 days to get it, and maybe longer. We are going to buy this one instead of leasing. Even though it costs more than the gas engine Escape, you get a $3,000 tax credit from the government for buying it.

Hi John. I forgot to say hi yesterday when I did my catch up. Glad to hear from you again.

Hi folks,

I'm on the EB Repo leaving next week. A while ago, someone posted a picture of the Magic taken by Shutters while you guys were going through the canal. Does anybody happen to have that picture handy and can you please repost it?

Thanks in advance!

Oh, I am so jealous. You ae going to have a brilliant time.

Just quoting this so we can see it again!!!:)

Oops, I forgot. Holly, glad you enjoyed your reunion so much. Looks like you had a good time.

Good morning everyone....been lurking again so I think I'm caught up w/ everyone.

Holly - glad you enjoyed your reunion and that Tyler did well w/ your mom. Things are definately going in the right direction for him :goodvibes Thanks also for your pm....8 more days to go before I see the dr.

Marilyn - glad you had a good weekend away.

John - good to see you again...enjoy your weekend in DC.

Lisa & Darrell - glad you're moved in...enjoy your days here at WDW.

Kathe - glad you got some alone time--I know you love having Serenity & mom around, but I can understand 100% wanting some alone time too.

Can't think of more specific things I wanted to comment on.....know that I love you all, and even if I'm not here often, I do think of you often and really appreciate all of you.

Forgot to put in my 2 cents about 2010....

If DCL announces a Northern European cruise I'm there...with bells on. If they do the same as last year I will pass....I really have my heart set on doing the Northern European cruise.....been looking at Holland America, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Carnival (believe it or not) and Norwegian.

If anyone wants to join me....I'm going to go either in May or September.

************************************************
On another note----I'm going to cancel the Western for next year. I don't even think I'll be doing my bday celebration.....need to pay off those credit card bills---so would rather do 1 cruise w/ you guys (Tortola one) than none.

Hi everyone!
There is no way I will ever catch up, but I wanted to pop on and say hi and thank you for all the positive thoughts, prayers and pixie dust coming my way (Nan made sure to pass them all on...thanks Nan!)! I have another MRI today, a second opinion appt tomorrow and then I am off to Arizone for a my national naturopathic conference (greatest place for me to be right now). There isn't any change:sad2: but I am still certain that my sight will come back and that I will fight this with flying colors.
Hope everyone is doing great and have a wonderful week.

Oh, and Scott said that when my sight does come back I could probably convince him to take me to see Mickey! :cool1: :cool1: Now if that isn't incentive, I don't know what is:goodvibes

Great to hear from you Kaylee. Have a good trip, and we look forward to hearing when you are going to see Mickey, with both eyes!

That's a great summary greeting after being away for a while!:thumbsup2 Can I cheat and just say "me, too" :)

It's good that your planning... Hopefully 2010 will be somewhere in Europe...(I'm hoping for the med cause I've never been there but I'll take either!!!)

Hey Kaylee!!!

Glad to see you back even for a quick one!!! Hope things are getting better... Tell Scott we're all going with you... Did he saw WDW or DL???

Warning long post - I'm feeling chatty this morning, so getting all my thoughts down before my work break is over!

Thanks for all the positive thoughts when I did my that job interview 2 weeks ago. I didn't get this one, but I'm sure another opportunity will come along. We may end up doing another winter of Ken commuting. I'd hoped to find a job and get moved by Sept 2008, but my final deadline is Jan 2010. If we aren't moved out of this town by then, I have a bad feeling we'll be here forever. But there's still lots of time, so something will come up.:goodvibes

For now, we've got more time to finish the home renos. Ken's started cheaper the bricks off the wall in the kitchen - that's a nightmare job! My entry stairway is now a lovely green on the bottom half and a really pale yellow on the top - its looks so much nicer that the old dingy paint.:thumbsup2 Now I just have get the tile down on the floor and we can use the front door again:cool1:
We picked out the fridge, stove, dishwasher, and microwave/hood that we want to buy. I had planned on going for a fridge with a bottom freezer, but looking at them yesterday we realized they are very unpractical for our kids. At 3 & 6 they need to be able to get at the food in the fridge, so we've switched to a traditional style fridge (which is way, way cheaper :thumbsup2 )

Nan - you're looking at switching away from accounting work and I'm trying to switch into it! :upsidedow This week I have to pay my annual student fees and register for my next course. I'm doing it through CGA - they have the best course options to fit around my work. But it sure is slow going taking one at a time. Its scary spending this money to take the courses, so that I can hopefully get a new entry level job and make less money that I do now. Oh well, goal is less stress, better lifestyle, so less money will be balance out with the other stuff.

Break is over - time to get busy. Have a great day everybody!

I finally used the laundry smilie!! :laundy: Never had a good chance to do so before.

The following post is from the GREAT UNKNOWN TIPS thread. Here is the post and my response.

Jan

Order a bunch of Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches from room service the night before an excursion. They come to you in the form of Smuckers Uncrustables, so they are super easy to throw in a bag and take with you. It'll save you from buying snacks while you're in port, which, depending on where you are, can be quite pricey!!!

Also, another great item to pack....a very small sized room spray. With multiple people sharing a small space, it really comes in handy for the bathroom. Bath and Body Works and Yankee Candle Company both carry small little spray cans that you can easily pack.

If you plan on doing some duty free shopping while cruising, make sure you price out some of the items that you are interested in BEFORE you sail. My husband and I bought a bottle of a "rare" tequila in Mexico, thinking we got a great deal on something unique, only to find the same item for sale at home at Sam's Club for less money (AND we wouldn't have had to lug it home from Mexico, if we had known!) Same thing goes for perfume, cologne and jewelry! Make sure you're getting a good deal by being knowlegable before you sail!

I will also give my support to the idea of packing lots of various sized ziplock bags. First of all, I always put my toiletries into them before I pack them. That way, if something were to open in my luggage, it isn't going to ruin any clothes, or make a huge mess. I also use them to portion out candy (which I bring with me from home) for visits to the Buena Vista Movie Theater, the Walt Disney Theater or the Ariel View Screen. They can be used for dirty laundry, for wet bathing suits after excursions, and also as a make-shift cooler. When you're getting off the ship, pack the bag with ice and leave room to throw in some bottled water or snacks. There really are TONS of uses for Ziplock Bags! If anyone else has some good ideas, throw them out there!

I pack my undies in zip locks. A couple in each sandwich bag. Then I pack them in my carry on. This way, if my luggage is searched, no one has pawed through my personal items. :scared1: If my carry on is searched, as it often is because of my jewelry and the pins on my lanyards and visor, I am standing there and can see that the baggie was not opened, it was just patted to be sure nothing was hiding in it. If it was opened, I would know which items to wash before wearing. :laundy:

Due to the above mentioned frequency of carry-on checks, on our last flight I packed my pin-laden lanyards in a quart zip lock and jewelry in another. (Yes, it is costume jewelry, but it is mine, I chose it for the outfits I plan to wear, and I don't want to lose it.) Then at the airline security check I used four bins. One for sandals (I am not walking through there in sox and putting those dirty sox in my clean sneakers so I wear tevas) and visor which is covered with pins. One for laptop. One for quart bag of lanyards with pins and quart bag of jewelry. One for cell phone and hip-pack which I open and remove some of the contents so they can see what is there.

Then the backpack goes through on its own as now it has only undies, magazine and calender.

TA DA!! This time--no search! :yay:

While I am on the topic of security--I was told by one guard to cross my hands in front of my body. She said that Pooh-sized-people get closer to the sides of the frame and that can set it off. Not because of metal, but because we are wider. I have tried it and, while it does not always work, it works frequently! :thumbsup2
