Feeling tired these last few days which is unusual for me. I'm sleeping soooo well too.

7 weeks today we will be on our way to La Gomera in the Canary Islands. Not much to do there but relax!!!!!

Below in blue is an email I just got from Kaylee. I just read this myself, so I have nothing more to input. I know the power of prayer works, so we have a heavy task at hand for our dear friend.

So, I(Kaylee) am writing to you from my bed after spending the entire day in ER yesterday.....not the greatest email, I know but I need all good energy I can get. So I lost my eyesight in my L eye on Sat am (was kind of going away on F, but I ignored it). We went to an eye doc yesterday and the look on his face said it all, so we went straight to an ER where my friend had already spoken to the opthamologist on call. Well, after 7 hours there I let after a 1gm IV of prednisone and the diagnosis of MS. I haven't accepted that diagnosis yet and I have lots of docs appts starting at 7am on Monday. So far my vision is no better and it is the worst feeling in the world. Thankfully my mom is being great....which is helpful to Scott since he is having a hard time with this all...... I won't be getting on the boards anytime soon....but if you want to post something Nan asking for pixie dust and prayers that would be ok with me.....that list is great for helping people get better.

I'll be in touch with her and will keep you all posted on whatever the news is.

Nan

Her words are below in blue:

Thanks for all the thoughts. here is my update...not sure if it is good or bad.....

vision is the same....completely gone in the L eye :(. Went to the neurologist this am. It is def MS, but they took 15 vials of blood just to make sure it wasn't something else and I get to have another MRI of my neck to make sure it isn't more advanced than they think. I had a perfect neurological exam except that one eye....so I have no other symptoms, which I guess is good. Oh and she wants me to start on 3-4x/week shots that will run me over 10K per year for the rest of my life! Not so sure about that one yet...we'll see, but Scott wants me to do them so that I have the best chance of full recovery. Then onto the ophthalmologist who said that my eye looks great I just can't see out of it which means that I have a good chance of restoring my vision, but it will most likely take between 1-4 months to come back. I am going to start myself on lots of other treatments that I know of so that I can speed that process up! This one eyed thing is totally annoying! :) I guess that about 90% of people who start like I do regain 100% of their sight back, so that is good news. And the fact that I have no other symptoms is good news. I may start on those shots and take them for a year or 2 while I get myself into better health via the herbs, nutrients and vitamins I know can help. I am going to still go to my 2 conventions, 1 this week (W-S) and 1 next week (T-S) so that I can be around colleagues and pick everyone's brains. Also, it will be somewhat relaxing, no kids, no patients and I can sleep as much as I want to and won't have to drive. That is the hardest thing...right now I am not comfortable enough to drive myself anywhere, so I need to be shuttled around.

I'm copying and sending her an email a day with all the DISers prayers and good thoughts. I think they are a bit of what the doctor would order.

Now, about that jail....Michelle what are you thinking:eek: ????

p.s. since the kids are at camp this week, I may just be game :woohoo:

Kaylee,

Doug and I send you all the  s, prayers and pixiedust: you need for a speedy recovery. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. We have now been on two cruises with you and we want to see you again.

Carol and Doug

Ian, glad you are all right. Looks like we might get some of your weather today. Unless it goes north or south like it usually does.

Marilyn, still waiting on your Mii to come visiting. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Carol

Carol, I need to be focussed to get a new Mii!!!!! I will have a go though!!

Nothing new here Holly. We are in for some heavy rain later so I rushed out to get some food for tea.

Sorry you have no work to do yet, but hopefully soon.
Well, stay dry Marilyn! :goodvibes My boss finally got here, so I now have a nice pile of work to make me happy! :thumbsup2 Bye for now!

I had a short flurry of activity, but here I sit again, bored. I think I need to learn to just work slower. :lmao: And we're even short a secretary today, so you'd think I'd be super busy! :confused3 Oh well.....at least I'm in the air conditioning and get to DIS!!!! :yay:

I know what I can do! I can go to page 1 of this thread and start reading trip reports that I never got around to reading before! :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

I think it is Wilson on a photo from yesterday. I don't know Wilson as well.

I found Molly on the Sunday photos!!!:yay:

Are you clicking on every picture or do you have great eyesight? I figured I would be able to see Molly's hair but I can't see much unless I click on them and then it is never them.

You can just about recognise Molly without enlarging the photo. I would post the pic, but there are other kids on there and their parents might not like it!!! Look on the Sunday pics and about 6 rows down.

You would recognise Wilson more than me. See the smiling boy in the red top on Monday's pics. About half way down i think.

Yup, I see them both! :goodvibes
