I wonder if they will let you package it in two containers so you have two dinners for one :confused3

Jan :earsgirl:
Probably , I don't know. Didn't go, wanted to get home to mow instead, because the sky looked ominous. I only did the back yard yesterday and then was weeding, trying to find my rosebush that somehow got swallowed by a forest. ;) Made good progress, but had to stop because I filled a whole yard bag and didn't have any more...have to buy more today.

This morning I mowed my front yard, weedwhacked, and even mowed the front yard of the empty house next door! :)

Taking a lunch/DIS break and will then start cleaning the house. Laundry too.

I really know almost nothing about the wedding except the actual ceremony and what Sukie and I are wearing. Nan and Kelly have told me nothing. I've been told that we just need to show up when and were we're told.

Well, at least that takes the pressure off you! :)

Looks like some of us have stayed in the same room:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Who'd have thunk it would be so popular :confused3

I'm having trouble forcing myself to do anything to get ready for the move so I feel your pain. Let me know if the slapping works for you...
LOL! Well, I figured it was time for some serious motivation! I think I'll get most of the stuff done, as soon as I get caught up on here! ;)

Good morning all!

Everyone is so quiet lately.

Here is the reminder for today:

Vote for Shalisa:

http://www.energizerkeepgoinghalloffame.com/KeepGoing/Finalists/finalist6.aspx

Done! I can't wait to see if she wins.

And the reason it's quiet here is probably because my internet isn't working at home. :( The soonest AT&T can come is Wednesday, so I'm limited to the times I have a chance to get someplace where there's WiFi and can use my little Dell pda thingy. So I'm at the library now. Actually, in my car outside the library. ;)

We found a really nice apartment to rent for 7 months - 50% larger than in San Diego - plus it comes with an attached garage - and for less than we currently pay :cool1:

We decided we didn't want to buy until we've been there a little bit to see where we like. And the government will help out with the buying for up to 2 years so we have time and won't lose the incentive.
What a great deal Lisa!

We have a huge new idea for our trip next May. Partly John's idea so I am so pleased he is taking more interest because of that.

Our West coast trip has now become East coast!

Plans at the moment, nothing booked as yet.

Fly to Orlando for 2 weeks of fun.
Set off on almost 3 weeks of travelling up the East coast to NY.
Few days in NY.
Sail home on the Queen Mary 2!!

Though it doesn't quite go over our 40th wedding anniversary we can celebrate it on the QM2 if it is within 60 days.

Some thoughts at the moment for places to visit, where we will stay for 2-4 nights.

St Augustine
Savannah
Charleston
Disney Hilton Head
?
?
? all depends on which direction we go up from Hilton Head
Blue Ridge Parkway
Washington DC
?
? Depending on route
New York

Help from East Coast folk will be appreciated.

We should be booking crossings in about 2 weeks.

WOW Marilyn, what an INCREDIBLE trip you're planning! I can't wait to hear more as you start booking things and making final decisions. How exciting!

Well, I'm off to go home and clean. Great pictures and great laughs posted today. I suppose I'll venture out this evening to find another WiFi spot and catch up with you all again later.

OK, I'm finding Face Book a tinsy bit creepy.

I received an email invitation from someone to join a group for people who grew up in the '60's and '70's in the neighborhood I'm from in Brooklyn.

Oh... crap... they found you... :scared:

Ok, has anyone else here seen the social browser Flock?

The idea is that it works with your social networks, such as Facebook, My Space, Flickr, etc.

Plus it's also a normal web browser.

I downloaded it and it is pretty cool. Exploring Facebook with it made Facebook so much more usable, because on various regions and bars I could see the mail, invites, poke, etc and also media showed up in a "media bar."

It's available for both Mac and Windows.

Has anyone else here been using it? Am I just old and behind the times?

Here's the link to the site for Flock:

http://flock.com/

And you said what about Facebook and MySpace??? :sad2:

It is pouring and poopy here in Chicago.

We are having a spate of increased efficiency, and so did all of our errands and shopping during the week. I am now sitting here on a Saturday with no plans, other than to take a blazer I bought for the wedding to a tailor to have the sleeves taken up.

Sukie is at the library doing research and won't be home until later.

It is so rare that I find myself casting about for something to do, because I so rarely have free time.

I suppose I could clean, but that never enters my psyche (and the house doesn't need cleaning
anyway.)

I suppose I could also just take my mother's advice and bang my head in the wall.

I propose some QT with Tallulah and Truman... or in Tallulah's words... GO TAKE A NAP!!! :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm also a bit worried about the poopy weather.:scared1: :scared1: :rolleyes1

At least it's there and not here... :thumbsup2

Is this one of our meeting spots for Disneyland in September?

(Oh, and remind me to show you the 'naughty' side of the partners statue)

Looks like a good place for a wedding... :goodvibes

We should be booking crossings in about 2 weeks.

We did the East coast for our 25th anniversary, but in the opposite direction,
we drove from Norfolk VA to Key West.
On the way we visited
Williamsburg - 3 nights
Wilmington - 1 night
Charleston - 2 nights
Savannah - 2 nights
Gainsville - 1 night (visiting friends)
WDW - 5 nights
Key West - 3 nights
We found some really nice B&B's to stay in Charleston & Savannah, but if you are thinking of staying at Hilton Head, Savannah is just a day trip from there.

I'll meet you in NY!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I'm sure all of us can help you along the way with different places to stop and visit. I've been to Charleston for a wedding and it was wonderful if you want me to ask (my girlfriend lives there...) for a really nice place to stay... let me know...

It could all change before we book though.:lmao:

It will because we'll all get involved and change them for you!!! (in a good way...;) )

We would be interested in any help Ann.

I think we were thinking of Hilton Head as being a rest from the driving and sight seeing and extra to Savannah and Charleston.
