Waiting for everyone to wake up now, very exciting since Santa came even though it was raining here cat and dogs here.

I reminded Tyler not to get up if he wakes up when it's still dark, and he did well. He did get up about 5am, I heard him come into my room, he whispered "good morning" very quietly, and when I didn't move, I heard him climb back into his bed to either go back to sleep or wait, I don't know. But he came and woke me about 7:30 and said, "MOM, Santa came! The paper started flying, we had fun, etc. And then I realized TWO PRESENTS WERE MISSING! I'd wrapped them separately because they were just delivered yesterday, and I'd forgotten to get them from where they were hidden in my room! So when he wasn't looking, I told him I had to use the bathroom, and I quickly grabbed those gifts and put them in the hallway really close to the wall. I got him to believe that Santa left a couple there by mistake and he just didn't see them before because he was in a hurry to get to the presents under the tree. I think he bought it, or he just didn't care, because it meant 2 more presents to open.

Then we had breakfast and went out to shovel. No snow this time, but tons of ice piled up at the end of my driveway. For some reason, the snowplow folks decided it would be a good idea to plow the slushy snow, so it all froze overnight into sort of an ice hill. Tyler came up with the idea of getting my metal garden shovel to break up the chunks and I was able to shovel them out with his little shovel.

Then Tyler cleaned the living room so it looks just as nice as before he went to bed. Most of his presents, he just put in his bedroom closet, didn't even take many out of their packaging. At first I thought maybe he doesn't like them, but he told me he's just making room for Grandma and Aunt Dianna to bring more presents.

Off for a quick shower and to wait for my mom and aunt. They should be here in about 15 minutes.

nice boy huh???? don't worry I rolled my eyes directly at him.

we are getting dressed and going to MK.

Monica will be joining us here ~ 3pm for dinner and family picture (she is an aunt right???)

it opened at the top of my page today and until I rolled down it looked like it was going to be FEDERAL HOLIDAY tree, nope....

OKAY Ian I have tasked you with your holiday job, can you please create a FEDERAL HOLIDAY tree for us. In colored smiles would be good.

I figure he might need a break from the jigsaw puzzle.

Quiche was good. The kids loved there DS, Wii and other toys. I'm tired since they woke me up at 7:00. We are having rib roast and crab legs for dinner. I will post later since I'm sure we'll be home early. Oh BTW, I got 10 cards yesterday Most from this bunch. I guess that means we may get some after Christmas too I know Bubba and V probably didn't get mine yet.

ok I'm here let's start the PARTY

My family is in bed and I have no one to talk too, NOT......

My 5 nephews are out carousing (sp) and i can't stay up with them because we have to commando at AKL in the morning so that we can make our noon appt at the SPA.... I said SPA....

We all travelled ok, the baby got sick and barfed all over the plane (not my plane , it pays to book everyones flights huh, mean auntie here

our van to the airport had it's back door locked shut and my nephews had to rip the partion open...after the driver and everyone tried for an hour to get it unlocked. sad story, but we made it and our luggage came 5 hours after our flight, magical express for luggage it was not.

the hog thing is snorted as Molly went to sit on the verdana (is that what they call them on land) and I thought it was her

My mom is very happy, I think a bit bewildered by us all. I just wish my one other sister came, oh well, she missed the party.

Can't wait to see Monica on Xmas. What time are you going to come over???? We are talking about MK on Xmas morning. I know you said most likely not, but come on you know you want to play with

I have to get to bed, Molly is staying up she says she thinks there is a zebra, it looks like a zebra....she talks alot at night, wonder who she got that from

missing you guys a ton and wish you could be here and see how crazy my family really is...

Good morning from cloudy, chilly Arizona. At least is feels like winter today.

The three of us did presents, I did made-to-order fritattas and then we all settled down with our books! Jose got me 1001 movies you must see before you die. Interrestingly, most of the ones listed from the 1930's I HAVE seen. Peg & I have decided to start a Netflix list based on the recommendations from the book.

Made a quick Federal Holiday phone call to Chicago, and just tried Monica (hoping to get her before she joines up with Nan and clan), but all circuits were busy. I'm thinking no one will hear a cell phone ring once they are all together. Waiting till tonight to call dear brother, since big sister won't arrive there till sometime this afternoon. Now, other than Cheri....who's phone number to I have programmed into my cell........

....at least I'm not doing middle of the night, New Years drunk dialing....

Here's our review of Valkyrie - we both liked it a lot - we'll give it 3 out of 4 thumbs up.

I'm happy they didn't have Tom Cruise try to do accent - I think that would have been distracting plus I'm pretty sure with the varied cast they had most we're not using German accents either.

Gaylean - our gifts sound like your kids - I got a DS and we each got 2 Wii games!

Plus I was thinking of Ian & Sukie when I unwrapped 3 jigsaw puzzles. We like the mystery kind so none of the puzzles has a picture to show what they will look like. 2 are 1000 pieces and the third is 2 500 piece puzzles mixed together

MERRY FEDERAL HOLIDAY!

Just finished eating tamales, and now started on the See's candies. Left over prime rib for dinner tonight. Since we did the family thing last night, V and I are getting ready to open our gifts that we saved for today. Opening gifts at 1:30 on Christmas.......I mean Federal Holiday Day, Tyler would go crazy if he had to wait for us!!! Gotta go........V is getting really antsy!!!!!
Whatever happened to having a little patience?????

Just back from a great day. Andrew cooked a lovely Christmas dinner and we played with the girls on an off all day. Then once they had gone to their rooms tonight we played a board game - great fun.

Tomorrow we are off to our daughters which will be much more hectic, but we will have a good time also.

We will be ready for a rest on Saturday.

Well, the 2nd round today didn't get put away, so I'll tackle that later. As soon as he'd given every new thing from my mom & aunt a try, he asked, "When am I going to my dad's?" So I called his dad around 5pm and asked if Tyler can come earlier than we'd planned because he's ready for the next round of presents that Santa left over there!

So now I'm about to head to Subway and see if they're open. If not, I'll settle for something at home, and will be a couch potato for a bit and have a couple BEERS before cleaning up. Actually, since I missed my regular Friday beer night because of the weather, maybe I'll have extra tonight!
