Almost bed time here. We have just watched Midsomer Murders which is a great occasional series about a police dept in middle England. There are usually a few murders, so I am surprised there is anybody left living in the shires there.:lmao:

Don't think we will stay awake till Christmas Day though.

Will pop on in the morning.

To All,

HAPPY holidays (PC version) or Marry Christmas to ALL....:cool1:

It has been forever sense our last post but have tried to stay up with the board.

Just wanted to let you know we are still here and watching.:scared:

Doug and Carol

Great to see you Doug and Carol. You are missed!! Have a great Christmas.

Merry Christmas and Happy Federal Holiday everyone!

We are back from our traditional Christmas Eve dinner at the Olive Garden. It was very crowded this year - usually it's pretty empty.

In case anyone was wondering it was still 80 degrees at 4pm today :scared1: I can't wear any of my Christmas clothes as they are all sweaters and sweatshirts. Oh well - no one is going to see me but Darrell.

I'll be sure to post our review of Valkyrie tomorrow.

Carol! Nice to hear from you. Give Doug hugs for DrHug hug and I and have a wonderful Christmas.

Lisa, I am sure that you are not complaining....right?

We hope to be a bit further south (San Diego or maybe on east into AZ) next week. Perhaps some weather in the 70s

Hi Carol & Doug, great to see you pop in!

Woohoo!!!! I did it! All my Christmas decorations boxes are up in the attic, the whole house is clean (except my bedroom), floors are done, and the laundry is in the dryer. I need to do lots more loads, but that's easier than cleaning the whole house.

Now I can sit back and let Christmas arrive! Waiting for Tyler to get home, then he'll wrap his present to Grandma, and he can open a couple presents from me, and we'll both open our presents from my aunt. :goodvibes

Oh, wait, I still have to scrub the kitchen sink and put away the clean dishes. Off to do that now, and then will be a couch potato until Tyler gets home. :goodvibes

And sit and relax until Christmas Day! :yay: I can't wait for Tyler to see his presents from Santa! I can't wait to see my gifts from my mom! I know she got me a nice supply of the shampoo & conditioner they provide on DCL! :cloud9:

Sukie and I grew tired of the Loop pretty quickly, so we hopped on the El to go home. We got off at a stop a few before ours (Belmont for Jackie) and went and had an Indian buffet for lunch.

I can't wait until tonight. I just love Federal Holiday Eve. We'll enjoy some eggnog, then sit by the fire and have our traditional family reading of the IRS tax code.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh man, you guys were pretty near Dianne-eeee! (sorta....she's on the lake).

I've napped, showered, groomed, put on my fuzzy red sweater and am waiting for the slacks to come out of the dryer....then it's off to Boca de Beppo.

Good night everyone from THIS JACKIE PERSON!

And special HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all our missing cruise-mates who have checked in.....come by more often kids! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

.

I guess I should go check on my sick neighbor. Getting bored here! :rotfl2:

I left work at 2pm today and feel like I've been off a whole day! I can't believe I still have 4 more days off! :cool1: I can work Friday and Saturday if I'm not busy with family stuff, so I might. Or I might just enjoy having a long time off. :goodvibes Depends on how bored I get, I guess. I'm bored now, but tomorrow will be filled with excitement, and Friday will be spent trying to figure out where to put all our new stuff! ;)

Nice design (picture the thumbs up smiley here - I couldn't include it as there are already 26 smileys in the quote)
Sorry, I was bored. ;) Fortunately, Tyler got home shortly after that.

When Tyler got home, he brought with him one of the gifts he got from his dad for Christmas. He'd wanted to try it out over there, but dad had no batteries. So dad stopped on the way to my house to get batteries and asked if he could get it going for Tyler because dad wanted to play with it too! ;) This is what he got: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3144130

It's so cool! After his dad left, we spent about an hour looking at different things. The coolest was hair and fingerprints.

I managed to keep Tyler up until almost 10pm, so hopefully he'll sleep longer. I reminded him that if he wakes up and sees it's still dark, go back to sleep because Santa might not have been here yet. :rotfl2:

Cookies and milk are out, oatmeal is sprinkled on the sidewalk for a treat for the reindeer, presents are unloaded from the trunk and waiting just inside the back door to go under the tree, now I need to eat supper because I'm so excited, I forgot to eat! :rotfl2:

Merry Christmas All :goodvibes :grouphug:

Ian and Sukie, hope you enjoy a couple of days of rest:hug:

There was so much snow last night that I almost didn't make it out of my driveway to get to work today...but darn, I did make it out:rolleyes: Then it poured rain all day. What a mess! Our store leaked in a few different areas and the parking lot was full of pools of water. But we have almost survived yet another Christmas season! It doesn't really count until we've made it through New Year's too! I have had water leaking into my basement (not a huge amount, but wet enough) for a few years now. I finally paid someone to fix the problem this past summer, it actually cost way less than I expected it would, and my basement is dry :cool1: Today was a test if there was ever going to be one, so much melting snow and rain and rain and rain.

I hope everyone enjoys Christmas and sharing good times and making new and happy memories over the next few days. Wishing you all peace.

Kathe

Hi Kathe! We have the same wet mess here. But I'm glad your basement is dry! When I was a kid, my mom's basement would flood every time we had a heavy rain. It's horrible!

Kathe
Thank you Kathe, same to you and your family!

I ate a chicken pot pie a while ago and that filled me up. I'm too excited to eat more! :goodvibes

Well, I know you just showed up, but I'm headed to bed. It's almost midnight and I'm beat. Time for Santa to deliver Tyler's presents!

Good morning and a MERRY CHRISTMASto you all. Wish we could all be together today. Have a great day everyone.

We're off to our son and daughterr in law's in about an hour so that should be fun.
