Well folks, I am heading out of the office. I'm going to go meet Sukie for lunch and perhaps a bit of window shopping or shopping shopping.

I'll peek in on you all later!

OHHHHHHH....

FEDERAL HOLIDAY EVE SHOPPING!!!!

Good luck my friend...

Don't run over anyone trying to buy that last minute sweater with a FH caribou on it... :goodvibes :rotfl2: :goodvibes

Marilyn & Deborah are sleeping. Gaylean is super busy. Venetia & Bubba are cooking? Michelle is driving to NJ. Connie's at Fort Wilderness. Deb is probably busy enjoying having all presents wrapped! Ian, are you shoveling? :rotfl2: Who did I miss?

This is what I get for having Tyler's presents all wrapped and hidden for a few days. I'm BORED now. I should be lugging all the empty decorations boxes into the attic so my kitchen isn't full of them. I guess I should shovel too. And I did want to clean before my mom comes on Christmas.

HOlly... good update... I now give YOU the job... :rotfl2:

If Holly closes her blinds and doesn't look outside, is it really snowing?

Ahhhhhh yeah... :headache:

I FOUND IT! I found the cord to my phone! It's plugged in now and happily charging. :yay:

I started thinking I must have scooped it up with something else that plugged in, so I started checking everything I could think of that plugs in. I have a Homedics Shiatsu massaging chair insert, and it was stuffed in that box with it! Apparently when I was gathering that cord, I must have unknowingly grabbed my phone cord too.

What a relief!

Told you we'd find it...

Thanks - I did make them. I think this is the fourth year I've made our cards. I love Stampin Up stamps!!!

& we LOVED them... :lovestruc :lovestruc

Woolworth's was our favorite store when I was in college. Ours still had the lunch counter in it even. (Back in the 80's)

Fried Clams....

Happy Federal Holiday Everyone

It's 1:15 and I"m OUTTA HERE. :cool1: Gonna go home and take a nap, then get ready for dinner at Boca de Beppo!

Stay safe!

I will skim again later... I have to go and get some stuffers for mom's Federal HOliday stocking...

Later...

Merry Christmas to all!

I WILL send out my Christmas cards, they're just going to end up being New Year's cards it seems!:headache: Hopefully they'll be worth the wait.

Thanks to everyone for their cards, PMs and words of support. I will have a nice Xmas with my sister and her family in Sedona. I have MANY blessings in my life, not the least of which are all you dear friends!!!

Blessed Christmas to everyone!

YEAHHHHHHHHHHH.....John just called and the truck is coming home tonight.....he's sooooooooo happy. That's his baby and he doesn't like to be without her. Plus he doesn't have to walk up tonight.

So all is well in the world. Emily and Tom are here and we're opening presents tonight with them and the kid and me and John. We'll have mulled spice wine and the house will smell so nice. Tomorrow morning the kid and Tom will take Ray to the mausoleum and then bring him back to Mrs. Bush. We already changed it for him to have dinner there instead of our house. That will give us time to clear up the yard from the snow and ice and we'll have him here for dinner and presents over the weekend. That's the best we can do this year.

The news is showing so many people stranded at the airports. I feel so sorry for them. That's no place to spend the holiday.

I'm very greatful for all my friends and family. So glad we could share our holiday again this year. Have a very merry and happy Christmas everyone, even Ian and Sukie who are celebrating Ian and Sukie day all weekend. Love to you all and many hugs.

Deb, glad to hear the truck will make it home.

Sister Dianne is stuck in Chicago. She was supposed to fly to my brother's in NC today, but will now probably be flying out on Christmas Day. At least she isn't stranded in an airport.

.....too bad I didn't know where Ian and Suki were having lunch....I could have had her CRASH THEIR PARTY.....:lmao: :lmao:

OK...really heading home now.

Cheri, I'll be calling you sometime over the weekend...you too Monica (and maybe everyone else who's number I have...:rotfl:

Bet you're glad you don't have my number!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Sorry Dianne hasn't got off on her journey. Is the problem the weather everywhere? As Deb said, the airport is not a place to spend the holiday.

Deb, that was so quick for the truck! Great news! :goodvibes

Shannon, in case you happen to pop in today, I can't believe I got your card already, it seems like you just mailed them a couple days ago! :thumbsup2

Well, there will be NO need to shovel today. It was almost 50F, so about 1/2 of the snow melted already! Made lots of flooded parts of streets though.

Without shovelling, how on earth will I work off the 3 Krispy Kreme donuts I ate on the way home from work?! :lmao:

OK, I'm off to wrap Tyler's final 2 presents, then make a bunch of trips to and from the attic to put away the massive pile of Christmas decoration boxes, then clean the bathroom and kitchen and start some laundry, and then hopefully a rest before Tyler comes home at 7pm.

We are back home, and holing up for the next 36 hours.

It really wasn't busy downtown. We were at Macy's and it was pretty quiet.

It was however awful and sloppy out, because of the melting snow and the resulting ponds of water, some places ankle deep.

Sukie and I grew tired of the Loop pretty quickly, so we hopped on the El to go home. We got off at a stop a few before ours (Belmont for Jackie) and went and had an Indian buffet for lunch.

We came home and got Mrs. Fezziwig out of the garage to get some last minute things (we ran out of dishwasher tablets). The streets are sloppy and now the temperature is dropping and it is now 27F, so all the sloppy slush and water is starting to freeze making it an ice skating rink out there.

We were slipping around on our walk from our El station to our house.

We're now in and not leaving the house until Friday, when I think we may go look at some after Christmas sales.

I can't wait until tonight. I just love Federal Holiday Eve. We'll enjoy some eggnog, then sit by the fire and have our traditional family reading of the IRS tax code.

To All,

HAPPY holidays (PC version) or Marry Christmas to ALL....:cool1:

It has been forever sense our last post but have tried to stay up with the board.

Just wanted to let you know we are still here and watching.:scared:
