Ok.....who, when, I can see where.............and why........????

Ok forget the why:upsidedow

I'm not sure when. We usually go for my b-day but Jerry's sis is having a baby on my birthday  I think June is better cause it just gets hotter from there and you know monsoons :rolleyes1

Who is my sis and Jerry and Josh

Ryan, my 25 year old nephew and Ashley my 20 year old niece and as many friends as they can fit in their bedroom, usually around 6 :scared1: (the good old days :cloud9: )

You guys and us

We are staying for one week with BOTH weekends but we can figure out a per day price if you guys only want to come up for a long weekend. And as a bonus...you can have the queen bed and Jon and I will take the double/twin while you are there.

Ok, I'm thinking bout it.

Does Jon know that you are offering to give up his bed?

what are we talking for the full 9 day?

We want to go for 10 days. I know it is long for some people and I must tell you that we will go to the river on some days. You guys don't have to join us but I told Bubba that you may want to come for a few hours in the morning and then leave. We have an easy-up and you could get yourself wet and then sit under it. I asked Jon what he thought would be the best solution and he reminded me that if you guys come on the second weekend there is a GOOD chance we will just stay home at the pool because we are all too burned to go to the water and basically tired of the sun, which is why we would like the cover.

Oh and I told him about the bed. We are really easy about where we sleep so that is not an issue. It is two twins that are side by side so it is fine.

I guess I should join the party today... a little late... have to go back to pg 56 and skim...

All you need to know is that I'm here instead of cleaning, shopping and cooking for Thursday :scared:

V, do you guys have game party Wii? It is $16.00 on Friday. It sounds like fun so I was thinking of getting it. Jon said he thought you may have it.

Did you get a Wii? And V went upstairs.

We are buying one for the kids for Christmas. We are also getting Ethan a DS so we are trying to be as cheap as possible with the games. He already has a PSP but apparently you can only play Mario on the DS

So sorry you are not sleeping because of the meds that are because of the stone or the other problem!!!

I hadn't noticed you were cranky, just that you weren't around as much. I hope everything settles down for you. Anyway, you have a right to be cranky when in so much pain.

Thanks Marilyn... it comes and goes. It happens this way for me... I can be fine most days and then get stuck for a few weeks after that... I just hate taking the meds... they are necessary but I hate the side effects...

I usually don't realize the side effects until I'm in the middle of them and then I just say "Stupid... this always happens... I don't know why you get crazy about it..."

Sorry you're not feeling well, petal. Just snuggle up and stay warm. I hope it passes soon.

Me too... then I can be my bright cheery self again... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, so much for my excitement about this week being my very first time getting paid for holidays off. Because I've not been able to be here my full-time hours, they can't justify paying me for holidays. :headache: So in addition to losing most of a day last week for picking Tyler up, I will also lose 2 days of holiday pay this week, and both of those weeks are on the same paycheck.

I'm so sorry Holly. That is adding insult to injury.

I did indeed miss you. Glad you had a good weekend and an interesting trip to the Science Museum. Hope your Thanksgiving dinner went well too.:headache:

But just think where you would be if you had taken the other job... It's what's best for you and Tyler right now...:grouphug:

OH, MAN!!! you should have seen us this weekend! Patrick was yelling at us, we were yelling at him, Chuck was yelling at me, I was yelling at Patrick and Chuck. The only quiet times was when we were sleeping!

PAIN can make anybody cranky!!!! LIFE can make anybody cranky!!!!:teacher:

Mom and I yell once in a while...it's rare...

All you need to know is that I'm here instead of cleaning, shopping and cooking for Thursday :scared:

Thanks G..

At least that makes me feel that one of us is getting something done... and it's not me either... :rotfl:

I'm crushed. I thought you were coming to Chicago :guilty:

All the more food for ME!

Dianne has you written on her calendar for next year....so I guess we're really showing up. :thumbsup2

smart alec, we went there last weekend, we are here for Tday and ya never know I may just get that last minute fly to chicago wild hair and knock on your door....:cool2:

You'll have to find us first

silly you, remember that day you gave us a photo tour of our neighborhood???? I took notes :rolleyes1 :cool2: and besides Sukie likes me

Nan... email me... I have all the info... ;) ;) ;)

Relaxed <-------------- Ian

What an new an usual and novel feeling. I am going to shut down in a moment and head to the train station.

I'm working at home tomorrow, cooking and writing performance reviews. I'll be working at home on Wednesday too, but my company is only open half a day on Wednesday anyway.

My friend... I haven't seen you this relaxed since May... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm cranky and being a pain, is that the same as being cranky and in pain :confused3 ;)

Kathe

Close enough... Join the club... :dance3: Why should I be the only miserable one... :upsidedow

Jackie,I wish you were on the EBTA :boat: :sad1: If you do win the lottery, maybe you can do both :cool1:

Kathe

Note to self... buy 2 lottery tickets tomorrow... (one for me... one for Jackie....)

Kathe: Those new babies are like a drug, I tell you :rolleyes1 :cool2: :woohoo:

It's that baby smell... not the stuff that comes out of the baby... just the baby...

Well, both wouldn't even take a lottery win...just nearly all my vacation days. They are such a good value. I priced the EBTA for two people in a Cat 11 and adding that to my Cat 7 for the WBTA, it still comes to only about $130 per night for my share, for 28 days on the Magic! That's a good vacation value! ::yes::

Jackie... if you won the lottery your could technically quit and just go back and show up and help out from time to time for something to do in between your cruises...:rolleyes1

HEY MONICA... NICE PICS!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

You don't know who I am :sad1:

My "horrible" Thanksgiving was usual. Jon actually said it was better than some. I got in a fight with two of his family members and got put down for working at the school twice. His aunt, who is 60, laughed at the fact that I was worried about the high school exit exam. During the conversation I told her that you had to take the test if you had a degree but you didn't have to take the class. She didn't understand why anyone that had a degree would have to take the HIGH SCHOOL exit exam. I just asked her "Could you pass algebra II anymore". She is an editor for the LA Times and is horrible at math so that shut her up for awhile.

When we got there we noticed that there were a lot of new pictures in frames on the buffet. First a picture of Jon and I. Then one of Ethan and then one of his brother and his wife and then one of their baby. I looked at Jon and the "alright" aunt and said "I guess they don't like Brooke". Jon said "You didn't know that?". I said "Oh I knew but this proves it". So no big deal, right? There is one of her somewhere, right? Jon goes to the bathroom and finds a picture of Ethan and the other grandchild (Christina) somewhere else. No pictures of Brooke anywhere. Now I don't know about all the other parents around here but I take more pictures of Brooke and she likes it a lot more than Ethan. It seems like there would be a lot more opportunity to display her pictures :confused3

G... next time bring a picture of Brook and slip it into one of the frames... I bet it will take a while for them to find it... :rolleyes1

Why do you still go there? I forgot.

Because we get HEAVEN points for going... :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Valium when we get home... but for going... :sad2:

Kathe: Those new babies are like a drug, I tell you :rolleyes1 :cool2: :woohoo:

Aha, a drug that makes you broody?:lmao: ;)

I guess you go for Jon's and the children's sake, but I would have a rethink! There are many many better ways to spend your precious time.

Wow. Horrible. Family can sometimes be so, well, horrible.

Wow thanks, this was great.

I sent an open letter to my synagogue this weekend to inform them about the boycott in Chicago of Cinemark theaters because the CEO was a large donor to proposition 8.

Sukie wrote Cinemark a letter and received one back telling him that those were the actions of the CEO and not the company. Sukie wrote back and asked them if movie ticket sales paid for the CEO's salary, bonus which in turn allowed him to give so much money to proposition 8.

Sukie has not heard back.

Here is how my open letter to my synagogue began:

"“When the Nazis came for the communists, I remained silent; I was not a communist. When they locked up the social democrats, I remained silent; I was not a social democrat. When they came for the trade unionists, I did not speak out; I was not a trade unionist. When they came for the Jews, I remained silent; I was not a Jew. When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out.”– Pastor Martin Niemöller, the German anti-Nazi theologian.

Good Morning One and All (and Nan)!

I am sat in my kitchen having breakfast. I am not at my office.

Today is a day of writing performance reviews and cooking.

What a combination!
