There was a little girl that Brooke was emailing before the cruise. Her mom and I were friends on facebook for awhile. I looked the other day and we aren't anymore. It makes sense because we never talked. She was a diser but she rarely came on. Actually, the only time I remember her coming on was to ask if anyone wanted to email her daughter. Anyway, we took her daughter to dinner a few times while they went to Palo. Brooke loved playing with her at the kids' club. They emailed for a year. When we see pictures of her Brooke doesn't remember. She remembers Emily and Molly but not this girl. It's weird how our minds work. Of course we have seen Molly and Emily a few times since the cruise and see pics of them all the time on facebook.

We were so pampered on this cruise by DCL. They said it was because we had done so many cruises. We got robes and flowers. We went to Palo for dinner and brunch and saw Andrea there. She was our server on the Thieves cruise. She remembered us and Lisa and Darrell. She came over and hugged us and we took pictures. We LOVE DCL. We wouldn't cruise anyone else. We just feel so special....

Thanks for the kind words about Mom. It seemed so odd to not send her a postcard from this trip. It is such a different mourning experiene than a sudden loss. Due to her Alzheimer's we have been losing her incrementally for 8 years and she did not know who I was for half of that or more. Since she left us long ago maybe I can more easily imagine her happy in Heaven with Dad, their baby son who only lived three weeks and my other relatives.

Hi Jan, welcome home.....for us it's 15 cruises completed. Only DCL. I guess they knew that everywhere we went....our stateroom host and Palo people, etc. They probably just knew that we were platinum. They really treated us special. We loved being pampered.

I watched the life leaving out of my mom for four years. I was relieved for her when she passed. I didn't even cry at her funeral. It hit me afterwards, when I was home. She lived in the same town as me. I couldn't call her anymore.

Now that five years have passed, I miss her more everyday that goes by. I do remember our strifes, but they don't matter anymore. I just miss getting her hugs and her food that she gave out of love. I miss and remember her love the most.

Keep your memories strong from your time with her before she got sick.

Post some current pictures of the kids. I want to see how big they have gotten.

I'm so sorry we missed you in April when we were in LA. It's just that we only had that one night. The next morning we were at the port by 9:30am. If they do another Hawaii, we'll be back and we'll have to get together then.

I think Monica is going to try setting up a reunion cruise in 2014. You should try to make that trip. Nothing is planned yet. Monica is going to set up a poll. Look for it soon.

I hope we all get to sail together again. That would be so awesome!!!!

Hi friends.....hope all is well with everyone.

I'm starting to think about our December trip to WDW. I didn't unpack from my Canada cruise. If I just wash all of those clothes and put them back in the suitcase, minus the heavy jackets, I should be ready for my next trip to Orlando. Easy.

My DVR says 35% available. I have to start watching everything again. I got backed up after watching Big Brother Live Feeds all Summer. I have to hurry up and clean it up before all the Fall shows start up again this week.

John's son will be home this weekend. The following weekend starts the great house packing.

This weekend we're going up to see my cousin in Binghamton. Remind me to take pics and post on FB. The baby is two. He's so cute.

You can always use Off Kilter as a base in Epcot for Patrick and fan out from there!

We are pretty much set up for our WDW/Podcast cruise trip end Nov into Dec.
Only decision I have put off is Florida transport. Flying into MCO, but flying out of MIami. Guess two car rentals, one MCO drop off Port Canaveral, then Canaveral drop off MIA. We have done it before.
Must have wheels, otherwise how can we get out and visit everyone

You must have missed my previous post. I'll copy it here for you to see:

John and I were talking over Saturday morning coffee today and we were saying how great it would be to do the end of the world cruise too. We'll be in Orlando looking for housing and playing with friends and family from the 7th to the 15th. We could check out on the 15th and easily drive to the port. hahaha. We have to see if it works out financially. I'll know better by next month. Monica is already holding a dummy date for me. I've already checked to see if my room is available and it is now, but who knows by next month. If so and we do get to go, we could have a great party out on that deck. Where does it go? St. Thomas, San Juan and CC? That would be a great cruise. Also, I have not been on the Fantasy yet so that would officially complete my list. Have to wait until next month and one never knows....

coming along on the stocking.. should be done in about a week or so.

Thought i might have a hard time finding a fabric for the lining and the backing, but then i realized that we have quite a few quilt shops up here. I might take a trip out to the big one next month and see if I can find something i like. i'm thinking of a lavender colored backing or maybe a sage color.. will have to see what it looks like next to it.
