I'm going for the second choice.. :thumbsup2
I hope so! LOL! Wish me luck, here I go!!! Oops......just texted to make sure he's home but he's out shopping. Now I have to wait. Hoping he doesn't laugh at the condition of these cookies, LOL! The suspense will kill me! ;)

Stop worrying...

the gesture alone is worth much more than what the cookies taste like...

Yesterday a friend of mine posted a pic on fb... he walked out of his office and guess what was passing by???? He got to hear the horn!!!! Was amazed at how it played "When you wish upon a star...".. He said it was MAGICAL.. I said of COURSE it was... that's because that was the DISNEY MAGIC!!!!

...........
Oh, and I have to cancel the 12/15/12 Fantasy cruise because I just found out I was wrong on the dates of Tyler's Christmas break from school. Their vacation doesn't start until Christmas Eve. Oops!
.........

 sorry.

Glad you have fun plans for up north to concentrate on. ::yes::

I guess each family does do it their own way. I just can't imagine making somebody sad about having to miss out. Just kills me.

:confused3 Was the other kid sad?
We always had a family party--just my parents, brother, sister and me. The birthday person chose the dinner menu and the dessert--most of them preferred pie. Then there might be a kid party, if the celebrant wanted one, with friends and favors. If I had such a party my brother did not want to be around my friends so he would go to a friend's house that day to play.

Well.. my car is working!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Lets see how long it lasts.

The battery keeps draining... but it's mostly because I don't drive it much. Working from home will do that.

AAA came and got it started and ran a diagnostic on it. the alternator is good and so is the battery... They told me to keep an eye on it to see if there are any lights or switches that could be staying on and draining the battery.

Hopefully it will be ok. I just have to go out and drive it every other day at the very least.

GLAD IT'S FIXED !!!
My son discovered his was the tiny map-reading light in the bottom of the rear view mirror. In the daytime he did not know it was on and he did not think to check at night. Now he does as it is easy to bump the button when adjusting the mirror.

Been texting with my cute next door neighbor. He's hard to understand when we talk because of his accent, but with texting I don't have to worry about that, LOL! He wants to cook me dinner sometime. Turns out the reason he moved here was to go to culinary school, his dream was to open his own restaurant, so he got accepted at a good one here, then 3 days later had his car accident 2 years ago which he's still recovering from, still having surgeries from. Poor guy. One more surgery to go though, to fix his twisted pelvis. Then the doctors think he'll be able to almost fully recover. Big mess, and big lawsuit, it was a Consumers Energy truck that ran a stoplight and crunches his car. He threw himself across the seat to cover his now ex-wife to protect her, so she wound up with only a scratch and bruise since he took most of the crash. Wow!

:confused3. Ex-wife ? He saves her and she leaves him while he is still hurting??

Um.....yeah, NO heavy machinery please! :rotfl:

Yes, I do need somebody who can cook! He's very polite too. Always apologizing for talking too much whenever I go over to his house. And super nice too......He caught me one day after exercising, I apologized for being sweaty and stinky and explained that I was struggling with weight loss, and he looked at me with a surprised look on his face and said "But you look wonderful already!" :goodvibes

:woohoo:How sweet !!! (his wife left cooking and complements...??? ???)

.....I'll been if FL between Christmas and New Year.......just sayin'. As a matter of fact, I haven't booked my return flight since I can't decide when to come home! :rotfl:

I've kind of made a 'rule' since I retired that I have to leave the house each day...even if it's only for a drive thrugh type errand (post office twice a week to mail back Netflix movies for example). I worried that I'd have too many 'jammie' days in a row if I didn't do this. There is the occasional day I don't go out, but I make sure it doesn't happen twice in a row. Now if I could just get myself to do my stretches and a chore around the house each day, I'd be in much better shape!

.

Chore chart? And give yourself star stickers ? Or Mickey stickers?

Yes, devastated. It was Tyler's dad's family having his sister's 3rd birthday party while he was at camp. He was crushed.

Yes, she did. But the main reason for the divorce had to do with her parenting methods. She has a child from a man before she met him. Apparently the boy is very disrespectful and out of control and in his culture respect for parents is HUGE. The child's father left when he was a baby and is not in the child's life, so he stepped up to be a father figure and is still a big part of the child's life, even though she is engaged to be remarried.

We FINALLY got some substantial rain! The news guy said a couple days ago that we haven't had a drought like this here since gas was 98cents/gallon. It was raining so hard, it sounded like a jet had landed on the roof at work and was just sitting there for a half hour. :goodvibes

The parents LOVE me and can't wait to meet Tyler (I spent an hour and a half over there with them today after work). They told me every time they visit they're amazed by what a good buy he seems to be just from what they see out the windows (I've never met them until now and they've come to visit a few times over the past year and a half or so).

:(. That is yucky. Poor Tyler ! :worried:

Why did they do that?

No idea. I guess because they wanted to celebrate on her actual birthday. I can see having a celebration with mom and dad on the actual day, but wait a week to have all the extended family over so Tyler can participate too. Especially since he doesn't see grandpa much since he lives in Florida!

I'm done venting about it though. NOthing I can do about it. To each their own. It just made me sad to see Tyler upset about it.
