I was talking to the kid today.....he cleans our house and gets paid for it.....when he was over here today we discussed clearing out this house. Whatever I don't want, he may want and then there's the donating and then the garbage. So I'm going to do the sorting with him. He can help move things into their proper piles. He even knows where the salvation army is that takes donations locally. So he will ride a box or two down there every weekend as necessary. I told him that I'm just thinking about everything now and how I want to tackle it. I told him that we won't start until after my cruise. That will give us 5 or 6 months to still get it done. We'll work on it every weekend all winter. That should put us into good shape to leave when we're ready.

I appreciate everyone's input here, it really does help.

You can even make phone calls now and add that info to your list of places to take certain kinds of things or if they have seasons when they do and don't accept stuff.

Angie--I am surprised that a school or Y would not accept exercise equipment. Wow!

What a strange dream last night! I was living somewhere near Mahi and somehow during our email conversations we arranged to meet somewhere to go for a drive. In my dream he had a green Camaro, my dream car, so he let me drive. We drove around chatting for a long time, then I invited him to come over to my place for lunch or dinner, not clear which. I lived alone in an apartment and 2 neighbors across the hall, in 2 separate apartments, were 2 women, 1 is a secretary and the other is a lawyer at the law firm where our firm is using office space. Mahi and I had dinner and I made some joke about how he couldn't possibly be interested in somebody so much older, he laughed, and I told him older women can teach younger men so much. And......I'm not sharing the next bit, but you can read between the lines. As he was leaving, he pulled out a clipboard with 2 pages of a list of women's names and asked me to write my full name and sign permission to authorize him to have access to my medical records. I was #54. I THREW the clipboard across the room, called him a few choice names, and screamed at him to get out!!!!! When he left, I told the 2 neighbors about his list and they told me I overreacted and that I should call him right away and apologize. I woke up totally ticked off and fully convinced he's a complete jerk.

It just shows that you're thinking about what it could be like with Mahi. And it's all good. Then you throw in some work people at home because you "live" at your job. And then you throw in some men of your past and project that on Mahi. It's okay, it didn't really happen and it could be great if it did. Just don't let your baggage of the past influence your possible future. Mahi is good.

Sure, would be good if it did, but since he's not a person I'll ever actually run into again, it's not realistic, but we all have dreams! Literally, LOL!!! He was a fun fantasy for a while. Now.............WHO'S NEXT?!

The cute firefighter I've mentioned in the past was working my work event yesterday, but unfortunately, I wasn't paired up with him. I did ask my work partner if he's single though because she's close friends with him. She confirmed that he is. I'll be working with him in a couple weeks at a local week long outdoor music festival, I just will hope I get paired up with him. But......we won't be able to talk though because the music is so loud and we'll be too busy with crowd control during concerts and having to listen for police instructions on our radios.

Yes, we were really surprised. We even had a yard sale hoping some of the local "tweekers" would want them for scrapping to get drug money , but sadly we lived to far out of town to get any traffic for the yard sale. Only a couple of people stopped by....real waste of time for us.


But....another thought for Deb......Here in Missoula they have a section in the classified in the newspaper that is To Give Away. (listed just before the Lost and Found section) People list all kinds of stuff for free, just go pick it up. I don't know why every paper does not have this service. People give away furniture, appliances, animals (chickens, dogs, cats, goats, etc) and all things imaginable! (Our son brought home a camper for a pickup that he got free. You can imagine the shape it was in! But with enough time and effort it could have been salvaged and used as a hunting rig. Our daughter and a friend wound up scrapping that thing and got about $100 for the aluminum. ) You might talk with your local paper and see if they would be willing to get something like this started. I'm sure it keeps lots of stuff out of the landfills. By the time you need it, it could be up and running.

Maysie.. doing what she does best ... (lifeguarding at Myrtle Beach during the triathalon) Last week she had a save (lost her sunglasses...) and Will who is guarding at the Teaneck Pool got a save with a baby (in the baby pool...I told him it counts... )
