get some fresh gas and get some carb cleaner. spray on and around the carb. let evaporate. try starting. you should be able to get carb cleaner at walmart target. or auto parts store if its in your normal travels.

Karl
Thanks Karl! Will make that my weekend project. But how do I get the gas out that's already in it?

Hi Holly!

How's the heat...

I'm not holding up in the heat this summer...

if I promise you a blizzard this winter... can you keep the heat in MI???
They say it's in the 90s but I don't know. AC everywhere, so it's not a big deal. Tomorrow is supposed to be 95, but again, I stay inside when it's supposed to be hot like that. Just 2 days of high heat then back down to high 70s and low 80s, perfect! So my yardwork has been put on hold today and yesterday.

Yeah.. 2 days.. heat indexes though are supposed to be in the 100's... so...

I went out tonight and moved the plants out of the direct sunlight so they won't burn up in the heat. I watered everything good and will do so again tomorrow night.

The a/c is in the window in the living room for the QM... and we've decided that if it gets too hot upstairs, that we will both go and camp out in the living room with the a/c on tomorrow night. Aerobed here I come!!!

We have a/c's upstairs.. but my house gets full sun so it gets hot up here.

Oh, I'd be miserable without central air. Keeps my nice and cool all the time. I don't know how I survived without it my whole life until 6 years ago when we moved in our current house. :thumbsup2

So my boss brought me a bottle of cherry wine from a vineyard up north in Traverse City, the cherry city. I don't drink wine, but he says he thinks I'll like it because it's sweet. But because I don't drink wine, I have a dumb question. When I open it will the leftovers go bad when I put it back in the fridge? Will I be able to shove the cork back in? What does one do with what's left in the bottle? :confused3

This house doesn't have central. it depended on what the people ordered when they built the townhouses. we aren't the original owners.

my NEXT house will have central!!!!

I had it in the condo in Jersey and loved it.

About the wine... depends... I'd save it and have it when you have company soon.

It would be ok to put the cork back in if you're gonna drink the rest in a day or so.. but longer... don't know...

Thanks on the wine. I NEVER have company. :rotfl2: But maybe I can take it with me somewhere. He's taking our small little firm to a resort the end of July for 2 nights, maybe I can bring it then and Jan and I can share. :goodvibes

that's a good idea... unless she got a bottle too she's bringing!!!

Relax Deb... once you're IN Florida... there's those FL rates and you'll be back on the ship before you know it....

& about going through the house... take it one room at a time... do a little each day... pack boxes and really try to figure out what you WILL and won't need in FL... (like the chains for the tires.. you don't have to take those...)

Shell, you're right.....in Florida, we'll get discounts and cruise again. It's just the NOT knowing when and where that's going to be. I'm so used to having one, two or three ressies booked. Having none is a novelty for me. That has not happened in a long long time.

Go through the house one room at a time, right! It's the deciding what to bring.....I will overpack.....and after packing it, where do I put it. I have no staging area. I'll have to clear a room out and then what do I do with that stuff? I have too much stuff. It gets overwhelming.

Nice! Tyler's 2 friends who come home from school with us every day are on that right now with their parents. The kids don't really like Disney that much, but hopefully they're having a good time anyway! :thumbsup2

How very cool....it's a small world....afterall.

We don't have central air in this house either, but we have five room air conditioners and it's very comfortable in here. Yes, my electric bill is off the charts, but I'm comfortable. It's a big house.

You can buy a bottle stopper at any wine store or winery. They have different tops for wine and for champagne. You can probably pick them up in a gourmet kitchen supply store too. Just so you know. I wouldn't keep it for long though. Drink some every night until it's gone. For me and John, that wouldn't take long.:rotfl2:

So yesterday.....I didn't do any packing or sorting of the house....BUT I did do 2 miles on the exercise bike for the first time. One mile straight thru without any stops in the morning and another mile in the afternoon straight thru. That's the first time that I have gone straight thru too. WOO HOO!!!!

How did you get gas out of a car when your parents wouldn't give you gas money???????:rotfl2::rotfl::littleangel:

you don't need to get it all out just most of it.

Karl

Just don't drink the gas... or at least wash it down with some cherry wine!!!:rotfl:

Well.. it's a nice crispy 92 degrees out today :beach:... 5 degrees warmer than my sister in HOUSTON!!!

we are having a cold dinner... shrimp cocktail and pasta salad...

It's also our 7 year anniversary here in the Greater Capitol District of Albany... Our family was so pissed that we were moving that they really didn't help us until the moving van had come and gone... ya think they'll finally figure it out that we're not moving back??? :upsidedow

We went and had burgers at Olivers for lunch... a semi tradition to celebrate. then i went and got some groceries and will stay home and pray we don't get any blackouts with the a/c running...
