I AM SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my notice today from SSA. They didn't deny my claim. I will continue to get my benefits without having to go to court. I can't believe it. Since they made me see their doctor when I first opened this claim and then they denied me anyway, I really thought they were going to do the same thing again. I'm so happy I don't have to go to court again. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 GOOD!!! that's one letter I can take out of my brain... :rotfl:

I have decided that I am running away to the beach tomorrow. I hope it'll be a nice day. Doesn't have to be all that sunny, just hoping for no rain. (there would only be 1 reason that I would change my mind, but since I'm 99% sure he won't be coming down to see me, I don't think I'll need to worry about that).

Thinking of going to Jetty Park - heard the facilities there are decent, plus if I'm still there at 5pm I can see the Magic sail away.

Going to attempt to make chocolate covered strawberries tonight (with out either burning myself or making too much of a mess) :rotfl: Planning to get either a sub or some fried chicken/chicken tenders from Publix to go along with the berries. I'll also fill up my cooler with ice & put in a few jugs/bottles of water to drink. That, plus my kindle, chair, towel, supersized towel & mp3 player & I'm good to go.

You forgot to take me!!!!

If you have a food syringe...and some grand marinier... I'd say inject the strawberries and then dip them in chocolate :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes ... don't forget to put a tsp of oil in the chocolate... doesn't get gloppy then...

Thanks Shell for offering to help write the letter if needed. Now we don't need it. At least this time. They said they will check on me from time to time. I'm just relieved.

Thanks everyone for cheering the verdict. Angie, it really is good news. I have learned to pace myself in life within my limitations. I don't get out much and I live a very sedintary lifestyle. I find the more I do, the sicker I get. I want to keep busy without pushing myself and going over the line. It's not easy. I work on it everyday. I require a great amount of sleep as well. I nap a lot. Trying to explain this to someone else is difficult. I barely understand it and would't believe it if it didn't happen to me. Somehow the doctors that I see and their doctor that I saw were able to put a label on it and now the SSA understands without my having to explain. I'm so relieved.

well....my running away plans may be changing....got a call from my Aunt/Uncle in MI who told me that they're driving down to Florida. They are not sure if they will make it as far as my house tomorrow, but if they do they want to spend the night. I'll find out at 1pm what's happening. Now I will need to decide if I want to go ahead and head out to the coast earlier than planned, then drive back home in time to meet them or do I go to the coast Sunday? Best laid plans.... :goodvibes

I do understand, Deb. We are going thru same stuff with the VA. Dennis is service connected for his heart problems (sprayed with Agent Orange which causes early onset heart disease). He was rated 60%, had a heart attack, bypass surgery for the second time and now we got a letter saying he is all better and they are dropping the rating to 10%. Based they say on his ability to exercise at 7-10 mets. Well, NO, he gets jaw pain when he exercises at 3.5 mets for 10 minutes. So, we are appealing that decision. Fight with the bureaucrats that are not even medical people. Oh well, God will take care of us no matter the outcome. It is just so frustrating. I fully understand why so many of my vets I worked with as an advocate saw DamnVA as one word.:sad2:

Monica, I'd just go ahead and go and wait for the call. From Michigan I bet they do not make it tomorrow. That would mean they would come on Sunday and then you would have that day tied up also. Or at least they won't make it there until late in the day. Just go read your book until you hear from them. Enjoy those strawberries and relax. :cloud9:

Angie, wishing you a happy and healthy birthday and birth season as Jan would say. Hope Tink follows you around all day today and makes all your wishes come true!!!

OH Angie, that's just SO wrong on so many levels. Bad enough he was there serving his country, then he got sprayed by our side and now they want to abandon him. I say you have to fight it all the way. They don't want to do the right thing, so you have to force them to.

P.S. Michelle is good at writing effective letters if you need some help. I'm sure she wouldn't mind me volunteering her expertise services. Writing to my Congressman helped me with the VA for Ray.

Monica, go to the beach. Tell them to call you when they hit the Georgia border.....that will give you plenty of time to go home and get ready before they arrive.

trying to get my butt in gear & then will be heading out. :goodvibes

I'm trying to get to sleep... coughing is not fun...

Have a great day at the beach!!! :beach: how did the strawberries come out?

Well, things didn't go exactly as I planned, but it was worth it. I am more relaxed than I was this morning. Was able to forget most things while I was there. Got some color too (right now, red).

Spoke to my Aunt/Uncle....I will now be going to see them (in Bradenton) next Sunday for lunch.

I am more at peace with what is coming up.

Thank you all for always being here for me :grouphug::grouphug: :flower3:

Say hi to my cousin while you're there....haha. By the way, he's looking for a rommate. You don't happen to know anyone who is looking for a place to live in Bradenton do you?

Say hi to my Uncle too! I almost forgot that he was down there now.

You needed this, especially right now. Will you get all your test results before leaving for your family cruise? I know that's coming up soon. When is it again?
