Well, I'm feeling better today.

Hopefully that will stay.

I've realized that often when you suffer from mental illness (depression and anxiety on my side..) when you get very run down and your brain is fried, often the brain doesn't react in a logical way. Instead of being happy that this he11 will end... I got scared.

I just have to rearrange the list a little... and yes Angie.. I will fix mom's toilet!!!

The Champagne Girls are officially CLOSED on the Hawaii cruise. I have almost 100 ladies. EEK!!!!! That's scary. I don't even know if DCL is going to give us a venue large enough for all of them and it's too soon to write and ask. Besides, I'll go broke paying for all the champagne and I'll run out of pink leis and flowers if I go over 100. I think if it gets too big, it won't be as much fun either. I think in the future, I'll cut it off at 50. Too late for this cruise though.

I'm having a stay in and do nothing day! Totally unmotivated and tired but I've decided I'm not going to feel guilty about it! I have to work all weekend and have decided I have earned an unproductive day!

The weather here is so dark and gloomy. We were supposed to get lots of snow but got just a little and a lot of rain. Not sure if we'll get the snow tonight or not It's been such a gentle winter but I'm still ready for spring and sunshine.

Thanks Deb... waiting for the $ to clear the banks - praying they aren't playing games again. Ever since the banking crisis, the banks are hanging onto $ and using it as long as they legally can.. and then some and use it to make money for themselves. But we've got someone on the inside, so hopefully this will be it.

& just to let you know... if I make it... I'm crashing the party... I'll bring my own lei... and a tiara... and the Queen Mum... Planky even has a tacky plastic lei he will crash the place with.

Sweetie, it you make this trip....there will definitely be a lei and a flower for you and the QM....after all you are the charter members. You can bring Planky's lei, mine will be too big for him.

Oh and I always pay for the champagne and then offset the cost with the cash that I collect. It all works out. But I have never had this many people. I'm sure I'll have to go for two cases.....that's a lot of $$$ to lay out upfront.

Thanks Kathe, that's very sweet of you to say. I know that it has taken on a life of it's own and people are having champagne girls tastings on lots of cruises that I'm not going on. They send me PMs asking for all the info to put it together. I'm extremely flattered.

Note to all: we have to charge our batteries. When we know a busy event is coming we charge ahead of time like Kathy is doing today. When we get overwhelmed like Michelle--we charge after. Like cell phones.

For 60 people on the Alaska cruise....I paid $400 on my bill. Then I collected $200 cash at the door. So I paid for half. Which is fine. I expect to pay out of pocket for a party that I'm hosting. John gets his $200 hot rocks massage and since I have fibromyalgia and massages hurt, I have a champagne girls party. I'm scared to go up to two cases because it will be $800 on my bill. EEK!!! If I only collect half, that's $400 on me. That's a lot. We will see what DCL says too. I don't think they will be able to accommodate 100 people.

I just closed it on the thread and still got a PM asking to join and bring more people. UGH!!!

Everyone has to sign in and get a color coordinated name tag. I have had to add one or two people before, but that's it.

Deb, maybe we should have 4 people working the check in desk...I'm sure another charter member would be glad to help. You know everyone will arrive the 5 minutes before it starts! Plus you may need to be pulled away from the desk for organizational/DCL needs.

Also, for a group this size you can nearly always count on 10% not showing (scheduling/family conflicts and the very valid cruise excuse "I just forgot!")

All good points Jackie. I would only trust other charter members to help out. Sassy will be busy introducing herself to everyone. Maybe we can recruit Kathe. We will be there a half an hour before everyone starts arriving. They will be picking out leis and hair flowers while checking in. It will go slowly with so many people. Thank goodness at least 10% will not show up. I'm counting on it.
