Kathe, the green Christmas was awful! I don't feel like we even had Christmas because it just didn't look right. And it was so strange to see the kids playing outside with no coats. But a white New Year would be wonderful!

Michelle, did you make it home from Jersey yet? We are now blanketed in snow. Not super deep but definately covered. The temp has been just hovering around the freezing mark until it got colder today, which has caused some very slippery side streets. I agree with Holly that it's nice to look at but I hate driving in it!

Today is New Years Eve and that's when all the celebrating goes on. SO.....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

I made what Mickey calls my "signature dish" last night/this morning. Put the pork butt in the crock pot overnight & it is now finished as bbq pulled pork. YUM! Meat was on sale, so bought an extra that is now in the freezer.

I also made rum balls last night (last time I did this was 6-7 years ago)...gave more than 1/2 my stash to Will & Mickey (plus both moms & 1 stepdad) so I may be making more this weekend. It's messy, but yummy.

I also bought a nice piece of steak & some chicken thighs to cook later (today or tomorrow). Glad I'm getting back into the mood to do some cooking. Plan is to have enough to freeze & have for the week.

I'm headed out to the store to see if I can find some munchies. We do that for NYE... wings, etc. Not much but it's easier...

We're going to watch some Masterpiece Theater shows we have on the DVR... tonight is Return to Cranford and then we start on season one of Downton Abbey because they will have season 2 next week...
