Don't anybody mention this over on facebook (not common knowledge at work)....but I just got an award at work with a juicy cash prize! While I'll probably just pass it along to Visa (technically to DCL), I might buy a little treat for myself...like maybe a Disneyland ANNUAL PASS!!!

Stay strong mom, you know you're doing the right thing. In the end he has to see that you're in charge not him. Hey, at least his tantrums happen less often now. That's an improvement.

Yes, and Tyler in the past would have gotten physical and aggressive, even towards me. I could see him just shaking with trying to control himself while screaming. He didn't throw ONE SINGLE THING, other than wadded up paper, and he didn't try to shove me or punch me or anything else he would have done in the past. The meds help, so this is my argument to keep him on when we go to the doctor in 2 weeks.

Holly - did Tyler write that letter to his dad? How did that go? How did Dad react?

As the others have said..hang in there - you're doing the right thing.

I ended up having him tell him face to face today when dad picked him up because I wasn't sure he'd actually give him the letter. Dad looked at him with a totally confused look and told him they'd talk about it later, but did say "Well, I'm sure it wasn't all that bad." Then he rushed Tyler out the door. Well, I guess we'll just see how this week goes.

The rest of last week went perfectly!

Been busy doing Halloween stuff this weekend. Pumpkins carved, costume picked out. Tyler wants to be a vampire this year. He did not want to go trick or treating, told me he's done with that because he never eats the candy anyway, doesn't want it around. He just wanted to stay home and scare trick or treaters while I pass out candy. But his best friend Jonathan who he's always sat next to in school every year (because they shared an aide and also went to special ed together) has moved away, and his mom invited us to trick or treat with them, so Tyler wants to only because he misses Jonathan so much. He didn't want to waste money on a whole costume since he's not really into the trick or treating idea, and decided if he's a vampire, the only expense would be the face paints and teeth. So we got that stuff today. Oh, and he also wanted black spray for his hair.

We also went to a cemetery today, Blood Cemetery, that's the subject of a local urban legend. (Here are a few people sharing their stories: http://www.ghostvillage.com/ghostcommunity/index.php?showtopic=22540 ) I don't believe the stories, but it was a fun Halloween "spooky" activity to do.......in broad sunlight. Tyler was thrilled, looking for clues to prove or disprove any of the stories. It was fun! When he excitedly told his dad about our adventure, his dad looked at me like I've lost my mind, LOL!

Definitely not doing the 12/15/12 Fantasy cruise. Price has gone up big time, so it's way beyond my budget. But I'm not giving up that week off work, so we'll probably end up at Disney for a couple days. That will make us happy!

Well... I was up all night with mom...

She had some ice cream that wasn't good and apparently she got some food poisoning...

& looking back today... I can only laugh... cause she didn't QUITE make it into the bathroom in time...

All I can say is I needed a new pair of sneakers anyway...

Had routine blood work done this morning....hoping everything is ok. I went to a new office (open less than 1 month) & I was done in about 10 minutes.

Mom & Dad are off to Michigan for a few days...back to MD on the 29th. I think all the adults in my sister's house are ready for a break from each other

Monica, hope the blood tests come out fine. Glad mom and dad are seeing all the relatives.

Holly, have you heard anything from the school or from Tyler's dad about how this week is going for Tyler?

I'm all done with my packing completely. Accessories bag and bathroom bag are done. I just need the last minute stuff like meds and computer and back pillow and then I'm ready to leave now. haha. Gotta wait until Friday. Just three more days.

So far, we're seeing Lisa and Darrell for "brunch" as we drive by them on Saturday.

Then we're going to Mimi's for brunch with Monica, Marilyn and John on Sunday.

We'll probably do the F&W on Monday and Tuesday. We'll stop at Animal Kingdom on one of those days too. John needs to pick up the Indiana Jones hat that Ken has.

Wed and Thurs is chill time. We'll probably hit the pool and play mini gold at Pirate's Cove. We may do some house hunting just to get a feel for it.

Friday we pick up Casey and Brittany and go to Downtown Disney to meet Sandi and Joe for dinner.

Saturday we go see my Uncle Tedddy and cousin Doug in Bradenton with Casey and Brittany.

Saturday night we transfer to the port hotel and meet some Thief friends for dinner and cocktails afterwards by the pool with Casey and Brittany.

Sunday we take Casey and Brittany to the port and hope to get a few hugs from the Thieves. Then we head home.

We're driving straight thru on Friday night going down to Florida because Tom will help John with the driving.

On the way home, it's just me and John so we'll stop at a hotel half way and do an overnight.

We should arrive home late Monday afternoon.

I can't wait to leave and I can't wait to see everybody soon.
