I mowed the lawn yesterday, plus put down weed killer. Will & Mickey then came over & we chopped down different branches on the little tree in my yard.

didn't do anything today except for going for a swim at Will & Mickey's house. Nice, non-taxing day today.

Last 2 nights I've been able to fall asleep about 1am. We'll see what what tonight brings.....I have to be out of the house at 8am tomorrow....ugh...it's going to be hard to wake up that early.

I'm ready to go to sleep and its only 9pm. Went to work yesterday for 3 hours and then met Ken & the girls at the soccer field. Unfortunately I missed the first half of Shaelyn's game when she scored 3 times. Today it was into work for 5 hours and then we headed out kayaking. Three hours of kayaking and I'm worn out. Luckily I'm off tomorrow to make up for working the weekend, and I plan to sleep in an hour and get up with Ken & the girls instead of leaving the house as they are waking up. Going to drive the girls to school and Ken to work and then go to Curves for 30 min of good-for-me time, then home to get some things done (or have a nap LOL).

Hope you are all okay after the 9-11 anniversary. Its hard to believe 10 years have zipped by.

Went to the dr's this morning....he gave me a script for something (non-addictive) to help w/ the insomnia & anxiety. Will take the 1st one tonight after I get off work & hopefully it won't take to look to build up in my system.

Found out that Mom & Dad plan on being here 5th-10th of October....so....ANN & ALBERT--let me know if we can meet up either the 8th or 9th. My friend Jennifer (from the EBTA in 2010) will also be here then-celebrating her 50th birthday.
(of course if anyone else is around, you're willing to join us...I believe John & Deb will already be gone).

Hi! No internet access for me this past weekend...so I read THREE books! OK, did do a couple little chores and went out for a pedicure, but that's about it. Still HOT here, but it didn't feel so bad when I left for work this morning.

we talked for about 1 hr tonight....apparently, he's been married & now divorced, biological father to 2, acting father to 3 others. Said he's thought of me periodically over the last 20+ years. good catching up - weird tho.

Yes and I made the best lunch (see facebook)! Tonight will probably be a pork chop and cauliflower.

BTW, a Haggen Daas ice ream bar is 8 weight watchers points...that's what they served at the staff meeting and I wasn't about to pass up that yummy treat! I think it counts as a dairy!

It was a moder-day Western romance trilogy that Peg gave me. I've got a sci-fi going in my nook that I took a break from to read those. And they were actually pretty good!

Gotta head home from work, as my final installment of "Little Dorrit" should be in the mailbox from Netflix, so it's movie night for me!

How very weird.....and 5 kids....EEK!!!! Find out what his intentions are before you become an item with him again....unless you don't care. Then do whatever you feel comfortable with. Have fun, but be careful. He could easily have a 6th!!!

Thanks Shannon, but Tom and Kris deserve a solid foundation to start from just like anyone else. Me and John were talking over the weekend.....we didn't have these job problems. We went somewhere and applied for a job and got the job. It was so easy. Not today. No matter what, they can't do anything without a job. They're talking about going to school too, but they need the job first. Then then will go to night school and weekends. They really are trying to get a life so they need the help to get them there.

I think they have been so unlucky with their mom marrying Joe and putting them out. They didn't do anything to deserve that. That's why Tom was so brutal to us when he came here as a teen. He was hurting and put on the act to be tough and pretend that it didn't bother him. He's grown out of that now, thank goodness.

They're good kids and they deserve a break. They're family and that's what you do for family.

Hope you enjoyed your day off.....you certainly earned it with all that extra time on the job. It's a good thing you still love your job, it makes it a little easier.

YEAHHHHHHHHHH Shaelyn for making all those goals. That's just awesome!!! At least you got to see some of the game. Next time, maybe someone can record it for you.....I know Ken is coaching and can't do it. Ask another parent maybe.....so you won't miss Shaelyn's scoring.

Mon, so glad your doctor gave you something non narcotic so that you can take it everyday if needed. I hope you have some better sleep now.

Are you counting points again on WW? Are you doing it casually or strictly? I keep saying I need to do it seriously, but find it very difficult with the boys here. It's not just me and John anymore.
