Sooo

Last night we ventured up to the County Fair...

I guess I'm still a bit Citified... Granted I do like the pig racing, cause they're just so darned cute!!! and I love the fair food - gotta pig out (:scared1:) at least once a year... but I don't get the tractor pull. It's just not my thing, I guess. Those tractors had so much exhaust that it sent a huge cloud of smoke over the whole fair. :sad2::sad2:

I'm glad we went last night cause I never would have been able to take the heat today. I think the fair is going to suffer for it because of the heat. Soo many of the animals there were very uncomfortable and they were fanning them and running hoses to keep them cool.

Six weeks ago we first met Peggy...

Ohh Deborah!!! she's adorable!!! We have to get her a Bandana for decoration!

Heading to bed early tonight. My head was pounding most of the day, it's fine now, but I'm always worn out afterwards, and I woke up this morning with puffy eyes. Just want sleep. Hopefully up early tomorrow morning to mow, maybe pull weeds until it gets too hot, then hopefully stay motivated to do some more cleaning in my bedroom. Hoping for a productive day! :thumbsup2

Finally a break from the 90s and 100s, the temp says 77, so I decided to mow my long neglected yard (it's just been too hot to mow). Despite the temp reading, it definitely feels like 90 or higher out there because after 5 minutes, I was soaked with sweat and could hardly breath, so I only mowed the front yard. At the rate the grass is growing with this heat and no rain, the back yard can certainly wait another week because it grows slower (it's mostly shade). When the sun goes down, I'm going to try to get out there and weed. :thumbsup2 In the meantime, I have to clean the cat litter box and the guinea pig cage. I hate to say it, but I won't be sad when those guinea pigs are gone. We've had them 3 years, they can live 5-7 years. That's a lot of guinea pig poop. :rotfl2: I'd like to give them away (I've heard they adapt easily to new owners) but Tyler would be too sad. I'd like to have back the whole corner of the living room their cage takes. ;)

Still up near 90 for us... tomorrow is when our heat breaks. :thumbsup2

Staying in and doing things around the house.

My garden is wilting a bit. The zukes are in pots and they don't like the heat that way... keeping them hydrated and out of the sun.

My little habanero plant however loves the heat.. I wonder why?

Well, our heat didn't exactly break, 90 today and 90 tomorrow, Monday is supposed to only reach 81, so that will be our break. I think next weekend will still be too hot for another Cedar Point weekend. :( We're both itching to go! Oh well, that gives me time to lose a few more pounds and hopefully fit in all the rides. It's so embarrassing to have to get off because of being too big. Poor Tyler was embarrassed, but did a great job of pretending not to be.

For all those wanting to follow Bobby Bananas trip...

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1330270&page=10

He's traveling with John and Amy - I'm sure that some of the other Geeky thieves will be spotted along the way!

Before OUR Panama Canal cruise Bobby visited some of us. He was with Nan for a while, then us, then Holly and Tyler. Some photos of his visit to us and Tyler are on this thread Michelle posted.

I think Bobby had to be found before he could be packed. I hope they brought the patch kit...

:rolleyes1. I think John has a closet full of body doubles and they move the "sim card"'of personality as needed. :rotfl2:

Funny thing is... at least 3 people claimed to have the real Bobby!!! :rotfl:

Well, I did manage to clean the guinea pig cage and cat litter box. Did one load of laundry, hopefully it will be dry by morning so I can do another load. Not as productive as I would have liked, but I suppose more than I realized. Better than nothing! :thumbsup2

Had a super yummy lunch, one of my favorites, a "spud" from McAlister's Deli. Too stuffed to eat again the rest of the day! ;) I have some cherries and strawberries in the fridge I'd really love to eat, but I'm just too full. I suppose I can have that fruit for breakfast. :goodvibes

OMG Deborah....Peggy is sooooooo beautiful. And you look great in the photo....so does Ian and Olivia. She is so grown up looking in her picture.

I wish you many happy years with Peggy. She's a perfect addition to your family.

Good job sticking with WW Holly. I know that I have to go back on it again, but I'm procrastinating.....guess I'm just not ready mentally yet. I give you lots of cheers for having the motivation!! You're very inspiring.

Sorry about the ginea piggies....I'm sure you could always give them back to a pet store, except that Tyler will miss them. Hopefully they will live short, but happy lives.

Hi Shell. Is the nasacort helping at all? It's working for me and I hope it's working for you too.

Nothing new and exciting going on this weekend. Tom is cooking home cooked meals for us. John said he could get used to being spoiled. We wake up and the coffee is made in the morning. Nice. He really has turned his attitude around 360 degrees from the first time that he was here. He was still a teen then going to high school. He just turned 20 this past April and it seems he has grown up a lot. He's good company to have around.
