Hi thieves!!

Good to see everybody still posting. Hope you are all doing well. When are we having a reunion cruise? How about 12/15/2012 on the Fantasy.
;)

Yay! I'm hoping to book! :) But I have to pay for the Hawaii one first. :thumbsup2

Dropping Tyler off later for his sister's birthday party, but I'm not staying. His dad seems shocked that I'm not sticking around. Is it rude of me to not want to be there? I'm just not comfortable with it. Or should I attend to be polite?

You have to do what's comfortable, but you are sort of family because of Tyler... so it would be ok to be there.

Hi Jackie & Tammy...

thanks for coming back...

Hey Jackie... go and goose Cheri will you??? she never shows up anymore.

the QM is on her way home!!! :car:

she is done with the family for a bit (until tomorrow at least when we have to try and talk my brother out of climbing to our second floor and painting some strange trim or something. I love him to pieces... I just don't want to pick up those pieces off the ground... :rotfl:

very good!!! I'm sure it will be good to do in the water... less impact, but good workouts...

Exactly! I already feel stronger today for the 30 minutes I did in the pool yesterday. I walked back and forth and did leg exercises on each side before returning. I had no pain while doing them and I feel better now. If I can do the areobics at least three times a week, for an hour and a half for each class, then I think I'll be much more stronger than I am right now. I need to do it to strengthen my lower back. The arthritis kills me.

Don't even think about it. It's not impolite to want to leave. Follow your instincts and do what feels right to you.

We're leaving in an hour....first drive in movie of the summer season.....Harry Potter. I'm so excited to be going and to see it. John, not so much. He would rather skip it. But he's doing it for me. What a sweetie.

Tell John we love him very much!!!

Does your drive in serve good food? Ours has funnel cakes... Brian treated me to one when he was up visiting last time! :goodvibes

Deb, this is great! :thumbsup2 I've considered a water aerobics class too. Swimming hurts my knees too much. I know, it's supposed to be good because of it being low impact, but it's the kicking motion that kills my knees. Although i'll be 41 next month, I'm too young for such extreme knee issues. :guilty:

Thanks. I ended up dropping him and leaving. I did at least go inside to make an excuse. Just said I have things I need to do. I'll pick him up at 6 when the party is supposed to end, but will probably show up about 15 minutes early to be social for at least a few minutes.

Awwwwww! :goodvibes

Michelle: best wishes with the medication adjustment.

Holly: best wishes on Tyler's summer, school year and medicine adjustment. Deb is right, he is a sweetie!

Sweater is fisherman knit or Aran Isle sweater--off white with columns of patterns that repeat at different intervals. I want it done for our Alaska cruise August 9. I made this pattern in imported wool when I was in high school for skiing. I met Tom in college and when he admired it I made him a wool one too. They are HEAVY, need hand washing and (for some unknown reason ) are too tight now. So 10 years ago I remade them larger in washable acrylic yarn. I should have made Tom's longer so finally am doing another for him with a longer body.

You know, I think hand-held devices are the problem with people posting here...more lurking, less posting. Lots of folks just get e-mail notification on their phone and read the posts. Think there's less sitting down at the computer and 'checking-in'. :confused3

I still have to scream at my sister to STOP TEXTING ME! Phone conversations (even if it's a bried exchange arranging meet times or something) is so much faster if you just TALK.:sad2:

Just finished several hours at the office and am now heading back home, too bad it's too late for a nap!

.

Jackie... it's never too late for a nap.. (Ok... I got the QM's permission to be sick just a little longer...)

Jan... I have one of those sweaters that my mom brought be back from Ireland... :goodvibes I've been known to go out and shovel snow in it.

& you're right Jackie... I think with the new gadgets everyone is just going for what they think is easy. I'm still waiting to hear my nephews voice and I imagine it will be at the wedding (hopefully the only thing I hear won't be just the I Do's...)

I know everyone gets busy... but I'd like to keep this going as much as we can. FB has also taken away alot - maybe it's easier, I don't know. I just know we shared much more before that came along.. :grouphug:

Well, I remember it was this gang of friends that FORCED me (;)) to sign up for facebook!

.

FB is good for lots of things, but it's more personal over here. You might share more with us here than you would to the public over on FB...

& I think that gang of friends got me hooked too... we need an intervention... :rolleyes1
