Doesn't do anything when I click on it. But now I'm curious!

Lots of movie watching today, a short nap, a bit of laundry, cleaned the guinea pig cage and cat litter box, and a small bit of cleaning in my bedroom. Finally worked up the courage to start that task because I'm tired of sleeping on the couch! :rotfl2: Hey, whatever it takes! :thumbsup2 Just doing a tiny bit every now and then, then watch a bit of a movie, then about 15 min or so of cleaning. It's slow going, but works well for me. :goodvibes The room is nowhere near clean, but I was able to get to my bed and clear it off so I can sleep there now.

that's great Holly!! That's basically how I have to do things so that my back (or knee) don't start hurting too much.

That alone is major progress. It's the only room of my house that honestly looks like the houses on those TV shows about hoarders, but it's not from buying stuff. I don't shop. It's just that whenever we clean the living room and kitchen and even Tyler's room, stuff gets shoved into my room for storage. But over the last few months, we've both been getting rid of massive amounts of crap, so once things get clean, it should be easier to keep that way since we have a lot less stuff. :thumbsup2:

I aspire to get here...not the hoarders part :lmao: but the getting rid of crap part

Too hot to want to go anywhere today, so I just stayed inside enjoying the central air. I never had it before moving into this house over 5 years ago, and now I could never imaging being without it. :thumbsup2

Tomorrow I'm picking Tyler up from his dad's a couple hours early to head out of town for my dad's birthday dinner. He turned 65 today. But he's had such an unhealthy lifestyle most of his life, with heavy duty smoking too, he's really feeble and shaky and doesn't have much of a voice anymore, so he honestly looks 80. It's very disturbing to see him like that. He's only 5 years older than my mom, so there's such a major contrast there, it's amazing. She was a marathon runner up until about 5 years ago when her knees just couldn't do it any more. Anyway, seeing the contrast should be a huge motivator for me to get healthier. I don't want to be like him in 25 years when I'm that age. :sad2:

It's hard, but atleast you're getting something out of what your father has done to himself. I'm glad you're going up to see him.

OK.......I guess that's it for me! I bit more cleaning, then off to bed to read a while. More cleaning tomorrow after church! :yay: Feels good to have my motivation back, so I'd better take advantage of it while it lasts. :goodvibes

I meant to make it to a church today (to start trying them out again), but ended up forgetting all about the time, so by the time I realized what I wanted to do, church had already started.

I had a great visit with my friend Amy yesterday. We talked, we cried, we laughed. We discussed if we were going to go to our 20 year college reunion in October or not.

I mentioned coming into CA the day before the Hawaii cruise, so we should be able to get together then too.

I'm doing laundry & steaming asparagus for lunch.

I cleaned up a little corner of my garage...little by little my car will get more room :rotfl2:

Every little bit of progress counts! :thumbsup2

Glad you had a great visit with your friend! :goodvibes

Hi guys...

Still  but it's getting better a little bit at a time...

not sure why the pic wouldn't come out... will try it again...

Just doing things on the inside of the house today... wash, etc. I got a lg sandwich from subway for lunch/dinner... not up to shopping yet.. and subway is down the street. I'm sure tomorrow will be a good day to venture out. Walmart is NOT the place to go on Sunday... :scared1:

Heard from mom... she's settled in their nice house on cape cod... went to the ocean yesterday and now has a lopsided tan... has a few weeks to fill it in before the wedding...

I'm off to do a few things... will check in later!

Will & I had a Twilight fest this afternoon....New Moon followed by Eclipse. Lots of fun.

Afternoon everyone!!!

My cold is about 75% gone...:banana::banana:

I'm going out to get food... :thumbsup2

Ohhh and gas... don't want to push the car home... :rotfl:

& how is everyone else this fine Monday?

Glad you're starting to feel better! :thumbsup2

I'm exhausted and going to bed shortly after checking FaceBook. The cleaning police got after me tonight. After dinner, I sat on the couch next to Tyler and he asked "did you do your cleaning tonight?" :rotfl2: He's only trying to help cattle prod me because he knows I want to get my bedroom cleaned up. As soon as we got home today, I pulled weeds for about 20 minutes until I was so sweaty that the sweat was running in my eyes and mouth, then had to fix supper, then sat briefly to rest about 15 minutes, then worked about a half hour in my bedroom. Tyler was excited to find his stepmom's charging cord for her Nintendo DSi (no idea how it got in there), found lots of missing items! ;) LOTS of unpleasantness leftover from when we had the mice a couple years ago, so that's part of what's taking so long. Lots of disinfecting going on as I go. Seems whenever I pick up a box or something, I cringe at what's beneath and start the disgusting process all over. I'm really just throwing out about 75% of what I pull out. It's not even a quarter of the way done, but I can see more floor space! I'm slowly getting my bedroom back! First big goal is to work my way towards the cabinet where I used to keep my clothes so I can get them back in there. I'm tired of keeping piles of clean laundry in the kitchen and living room. I really can't understand why I let this happen. But slowly making progress! :goodvibes

Oh, and I started another attempt at Weight Watchers today! :yay: It worked GREAT the first time I did it a few years ago, but I went off track on a vacation and never got re-started, so gained it all back plus more. I've been wanting to start again because I KNOW it works, but just had a hard time getting motivated. I didn't intend to start today, and honestly can't remember what triggered it this morning, but something just sparked in me out of nowhere and I felt it's time. So wish me luck! :thumbsup2 Can't afford to sign up officially and go to meetings right now, just doing it on my own with a points plus calculator app downloaded on my phone (not an official WW program, but my good friend doing the online version is plugging in the numbers for me to verify the points calculations for me). So please send TONS of good luck wishes my way!!!!!!!!!!

:thumbsup2 WAY TO GO HOLLY WITH THE CLEANING AND WEIGHT WATCHERS !!!

Slow and steady wins the race! :car:
Keep us posted--we can cheer and encourage. :cheer2:
If you are ever discouraged about your progress let us buck you up. :grouphug:

:yay: cheers and hugs for everyone--whatever you need :grouphug:

Deb:

love the baby pics :cutie:

we have a new little one in our family as well - also named Lillian (isn't that weird)

our Lily was born at 25 weeks 1 pound 10 oz - she was born a week 2 weeks ago this friday. Her grandmother is my ex-brother-in-laws sister - we share nephews (& she and I had our accounting business together for 10 years) we've known each other our whole lives - anyway - it's her son & wife that had the new baby - so she is my "great niece" they live in Colorado and inspite of the way early delivery Lily is doing well - she will be in the NICU for 2 months getting bigger to then go home. No pictures for posting yet as they are tiny baby full of tubes and wires :sad1: When I have one that is happy I'll update you.

my sister is in Japan now (visiting her son Taylor) she seems to be enjoying herself - wish we could have gone but not the right time for us.

nothing else going on - waiting for the kids to finish up summer school then we head to Dland for Molly's 14th bday :cheer2:

Well I hope your Lily grows quickly and stays healthy. Can't wait to see her pic when she gets there.

Hope your sister is having fun and has lots of pictures and stories to share when she returns home.

YEAH DL!!!! Summer school socks!!!

I can't believe that Molly is 14 already. Wow! Growing fast.

LOL! Well, I'm hoping to feel like that on the Hawaii cruise! :thumbsup2 I was going through my photobucket account, deleting a bunch of things, and found that Mickey. I think he's perfect to symbolize Hawaii! :goodvibes

OH definitely. He's a great Hawaiian Mickey. In fact, I may make a tee shirt out of him....hahaha.

:3dglasses

Nan & Deb -- keep us posted on the babies! Prayers for health and congenial
visits!

Our son is probably on his way to Tokyo now. He has been in Japan for nearly two weeks about 9 hours north of Tokyo cleaning up tsunami damage. Last week one project was to get a church clean enough for worship services on Sunday. Sarah and Sophie are eager to see him! We will go see them the end of the month.

:grouphug: to all
Jan

Hope your son stays safe Jan, since they are still experiencing huge aftershocks.

Just a quick drive by...

Been miserably sick with a cold for the last couple of days...

BUT...

My car's battery is fixed

& the garage door is CLOSED!!! :cool1::cool1:

& the QM has left for the cape of Cod... (for a week...) (my brothers are going to feed her fresh lobster... :goodvibes)

Had lots of plans for this week I (closets I was going to clean, etc...) but that will have to wait for a little bit..

Ohh and Deb... sorry.. but I just heard that they cancelled Giant's summer camp for the season because of the lock out... :headache::headache: It's hurting LOTS of businesses out there... :sad2::sad2:

They just better settle this thing soon. I WANT football to start on time without any sloppy games to start.

Hi all!

I survived my first "real" day at work yesterday. I think it went well :rotfl: I was certainly kept busy...it did make the day go by quickly. Day 2 starts in about 2 1/2 hrs.

Getting ready to do some more :laundy: & need to get to CVS to pick up a prescription.
