Prayers for your son in Japan. Do both sons live in PA right now? I thought only Sophie's Dad and family did. It will be great if one son moves closer to you and maybe you can see each other more often. Wishing him pixie dust of luck in landing that job.

Sophie and family have moved to Philipsburg, NJ from Allentown and are a short two blocks from her other grandparents. They are great people and since we cannot be close we are GLAD that they are. Our younger son lives in Stockertown.

Right now having them close to each other is convenient for when we visit and the younger one gets drafted to help with homeowner tasks at his brother's house--LOL! Pleases us that they get along so well.

But a job he likes and in his field would be great no matter where it is!

Michelle--again I ask--what did I miss about a fisher or a woodchuck? Or where is the story?:confused3

Hi everyone!!

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Holly - loved the pics of Tyler & the camp. I'm so glad he's having fun!

Deb - finally got to see the pics of the new car - I like :)

After leaving my mechanic's on Saturday, I went to the library - to return a few books, pick up a few others & to donate a box load.

The Blood-mobile was there, so I decided to go donate blood.....wasn't able to...my blood pressure was too low. It needs to be minimum of 90/50 and mine was 88/64. Oh well...I did try.

I did a little more moving around of things from 1 room to the other...but not as much as I wanted to. Twisted my back a little & had trouble sleeping last night & a bit sore today. Luckily I don't have too much more to do in the new office space. It's the new guest room that still looks like crap. :lmao:

Monica, check your emails. I sent you two on Wednesday last week and one on Saturday. ;)

Well John and I went and test drove the car on Saturday and paid part of the deposit. All the paperwork is done. I just have to wait until Saturday when I can pay the rest of the deposit and pick up the car. I'm excited. I have a three year warranty also, so I'm going to take Monica's advise and get it to a mechanic immediately. John has a good one that he uses locally. I'm soooooooo happy to have a car again. I feel trapped in my house. Even though I never went out everyday when I last had a car, I still like knowing that it's there for me to use whenever I do want to go out.

Hi Deb---these are the emails I have from you:
1. Verify Casey's res....and make sure no note on there so that CM's don't spoil the surprise
2. Verify why you still show GTY for Nov cruise.....which you then followed up saying everything ok.
3. Quote for another criuse ;) - this is the only 1 I haven't responded to yet.
4. Your flight info for Hawaii.

Am I missing emails??

Hi Jan, not Michelle....but, her story was on FB I think. Just go to her profile page and scroll down.....you should find it there.

YES, Phillipsburg is nearby and quite nice. I love their mall. Being close to any grandparents is special. I was very close to my mother's mother. I think about her everyday and she has been gone for 18 years already. Wow, I didn't realize that it was that long.

Brothers that are so close is a good thing to see. But doing what you love each day counts a lot. I wish him much luck.

OUCH....remember to lift with the legs, not the back. Be careful. Hope it heals quickly. Hugs.

Yes, you're missing the one I sent on Sat re changed flight info. I'll resend it. You don't need to respond, it's just and FYI. The only one I want you to respond to is the quote. But now I spent the deposit money on the car. So you can wait another week or so until you quote it. I'm thinking about booking it since it's out of NY. John only needs to take off three days. So we'll see.

:confused3. Fisher?? Woodchuck?? :scratchin
what did I miss?

Greetings to all. Congrats on new cars, job situations and family successes. Hugs and prayers for concerns and troubles :grouphug:

Some of you met my 2 DSs, DDIL and granddaughter Sophie, on the Tortola cruise of 2009. Well,
Sophie and her Mom are doing without our older DS as he flew to Japan yesterday with a team of men from their church for a two week trip to help where needed. They are a couple hours north of Tokoyo. Prayers and good wishes for his safety and appropriate opportunities to help as well as for the people of Japan and his family in New Jersey are always appreciated.

DS#2 has a job interview Tuesday in Bowling Green, KY. They are interested enough to fly him out from PA and put him in a hotel overnight ........ we are trying not to get our hopes up too high..... but .............

:grouphug: to all
Jan
Wow Jan, how wonderful your son is able to help out in Japan. Prayers for his safe return and opportunities to help and for all involved. :grouphug:

Sounds very promising for your other son with the job interview in KY, good luck! Fingers crossed! :goodvibes

Better hurry up with that guest room, what if I want to visit? ;)

Seriously, be careful with your back.

This is wonderful, Deb! :goodvibes

Since I didn't get home until well after midnight last night, it was so hard to get up this morning for work! But I still made it on time. In fact, I was just thinking today, I can't even remember the last time I was late. Amazing! :lmao: I'm notoriously late for everything. So.........early bedtime for me tonight! :thumbsup2 I really should be doing yardwork. I have so many weeds to pull, the yard makes my house look abandoned. Yup, it's that bad. But I'm way too tired to even consider it tonight. Will have to wait until tomorrow after work. :thumbsup2
