I had cell service in Alaska....you can borrow my phone in Hawaii to call Tyler.

You really can borrow mine....it won't cost me anything. Use it everyday if you want. :goodvibes

Aw, thanks Deb! I appreciate it! I'll buy you a drink in exchange! :thumbsup2

Up and at it...

Benny'd, and we found out that it is possibly a woodchuck or a fisher... not going to find out though... the fisher can be dangerous... but it was up on the railing of the deck so... it moved too fast to see.

Mom is happy her hibiscus is coming back to life.. thank you Miracle Gro!:thumbsup2

WOW!!!!

I pay a premium for a lakefront cabin!!!

It's a beautiful camp and definitely not cheap. And the camp nurse told me yesterday that she did all his laundry for him. Laundry service too? :rotfl2: But seriously, she did that for all the kids staying on for 2 weeks because although he did have enough clothes for 2 weeks, all the kids needed to change their clothes a couple times a day because it has rained every day and they all got covered in mud. Yesterday was the first sunny day.

More pics coming! I just got distracted by a phone call from my dad and stepmom asking about my visit with Tyler yesterday. :thumbsup2

Just some of the boats donated to the camp. There are a few more outside the pic:

Just a few more coming up. :thumbsup2

"Quiet Tree" on the way to the outdoor chapel. When they reach this tree on the way in to chapel every morning, this is where they have to be quiet and are not allowed to speak until they're told they can once seated:

Series of bridges to get to Tree Houses:

2 tree houses. Tyler's not sure what these will be used for because they're new. There are 8 bunks inside each, so I'm thinking they might be for older kids or counselors in training, but I forgot to ask:

And that's the end of the tour. ;) I really need to replace my camera because my phone just didn't do great pics. Oh well. I'm considering volunteering for their "closing weekend", where you get to stay 2 nights and help close everything up for the winter at the end of September. Yes, I loved it that much! :thumbsup2

Doing laundry, trying to gear up to do some much needed cleaning, but my head is pounding like crazy. I can't complain though, because I haven't had many headaches recently. It's not migraine intensity, just a bad headache, so some Excedrin and laying down for a short time should make it go away.

I'm also supposed to volunteer at one of the concession stands for the U2 concert tonight, but have heard NOTHING from the coordinator and I don't have her phone number. I have a couple calls out asking others for her number. I would have thought I'd have heard from her before today, letting me know how I get in, where I go, etc. I'd have thought I'd need some sort of proof to show people so I can get in without a paid ticket. Well, she's got about 4 hours left to contact me. She has my phone number and email address, so I hope I hear something!

what did I miss?

Greetings to all. Congrats on new cars, job situations and family successes. Hugs and prayers for concerns and troubles :grouphug:

Some of you met my 2 DSs, DDIL and granddaughter Sophie, on the Tortola cruise of 2009. Well,
Sophie and her Mom are doing without our older DS as he flew to Japan yesterday with a team of men from their church for a two week trip to help where needed. They are a couple hours north of Tokoyo. Prayers and good wishes for his safety and appropriate opportunities to help as well as for the people of Japan and his family in New Jersey are always appreciated.

DS#2 has a job interview Tuesday in Bowling Green, KY. They are interested enough to fly him out from PA and put him in a hotel overnight ........ we are trying not to get our hopes up too high..... but .............

No problem.....no need to buy me one, but we can share one (at least) together. It's not costing me anything for you to call. It's all good.

Maybe you'll get to stay in a treehouse. That would be fun. It's an awesome place and I can see why Tyler and you like it so much. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Prayers for your son in Japan. Do both sons live in PA right now? I thought only Sophie's Dad and family did. It will be great if one son moves closer to you and maybe you can see each other more often. Wishing him pixie dust of luck in landing that job.

HA HA HA!!! I hate the telephone and never use it if possible. I have it just for necessary communications. And I tend to use everything but the phone on my cell. I don't even talk to John on the phone unless I have something specific I need to tell him. Then it's short and sweet.

All my working career I lived on the telephone. My phone at work rang excessively to the point where I would go home to my apartment on a Friday night and just screem if my phone rang. I would always unplug it so I wouldn't hear the ring. That was before cells.

I don't scream anymore....but I jump everytime it rings late at night. I had four years of late night calls with mom and Ray sick and in and out of hospitals. I still have Ray to worry about and recently my Uncle.

I hate the telephone. So don't feel slighted if I don't call. I prefer to type. haha.

BTW, Holly....I love the new graphic in your signature. And Shell, I love the new tag line in your signatue.

Nice ladies!
