thanks everyone!!! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I knew I could vent here...

It all started because I asked my SIL if I could take Will on a trip in the near future. Will doesn't get to go too many places because my DB & SIL can't afford it. He'll go to camp this summer (a church camp up at Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks..) and maybe to the Cape with my other brother and my mom in July (but he really doesn't WANT to go cause it's all adults and he wants to do something fun in the summer. He's almost 15 (come Sept...)

The FIRST words out of her mouth (and I get this ALL the time) is "So where are you getting all the money for this?"

which is where they start in about how I get money for ANYTHING...

I am working and even though I haven't gotten all I'm supposed to get, I get by... Keep the roof over our heads... etc...

I'm the baby of the family.. and those dynamics have sort of stuck I guess...

Mom and I talked about it... AGAIN... and it seems like I need to grow a spine a bit... stand up to everyone. & i told her that I need to take my own advice (that I always gave to Emma when my brother doubted her (for no good reason..) I have to prove them wrong!!!

So.. I'm going to need some :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: every once in a while to remind me to tell them it's none of their business and as I said... I need to learn to tell them to blow it out their collective butts!!!

I do know that moving upstate was one of the best things I could do. I wish I could have stayed in Jersey, and everyone asks me why I moved... because my family drives me nuts!!!

I would blow up and tell them it's none of their business or ask them how they get their money. How rude to ask about money anyway. :mad:

YES, YES, AND YES, I agree with Jan, Deb and Noel. I was trying to come up with words to express similar thoughts, but they all said it better. :hug::hug::hug: Sorry you have to deal with this, Michelle.

Thanks Holly :hug::hug:

It's because they think I'm worthless (and Timmy has even said so a few times... )

I CAN be a proud Aunt tonight though...

William.. my youngest nephew has just posted on FB that he got his VARSITY letter in both swimming AND Crew... :banana::banana::banana:

What's so big about that???

HE'S ONLY A FRESHMAN!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks Holly :hug::hug:

I guess I feel what they feel is the opposite. They don't have a lot of self worth so the only way they can feel better about themselves is to tear others down.

All you really can do is pity them and realize that they are happiest in their unhappiness of others.

Congrats to William!! He has my favorite name as it was my Grandfather's name!!

I've decided that I have to do what's best for me. I just wanted their approval... no idea why... but I did.

thanks! I will pass it along - he "gets" that I have imaginary Disney friends that I talk to everyday!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

It is natural to want the approval of your siblings. I am the oldest of five girls so I really do understand sibling pecking order. My DH John is also the oldest in his family.

You should always do the best for yourself and if your siblings don't approve it is their loss, not yours!!

Now... one of us... (me) needs to try and get some sleep... at a normal hour!!! :rolleyes1

Lets see how this works...

Thanks Holly :hug::hug:

Who makes him/them the judge of worth? I'd say people who don't support family are worthless. :hug:

Exactly. :thumbsup2

Busy weekend coming up. Casey is graduating high school. (His mom held him back in 3rd grade even though the school didn't want to....that was just Jane assuring that she could milk my brother for the most amount of money she could get out of him.)

So me and John and my brother are all going to be there for him in Virginia. John took off on Friday and we're leaving at 4am. Everyone should get there around noon. Then we're prepping for his party on Sat night at our hotel. Friday evening we're going out to dinner at his favorite Greek restaurant. Sat morning at 10am is the graduation. I hope it's indoors and air conditioned....but probably not. For lunch we're going to Casey's other favorite, Hooters. Then Sat night we're giving him a party at our hotel.....pool and barbeque. Then Sunday we all go home.

I'm happy to see Casey and Brittany and my bro.....but I'm not happy about seeing Jane. Even though she will not be joining us....she'll go out to dinner with Casey another night......she will still be at the graduation. I hope she sits far away from us.

It's too strange that now Jane and Tristan speak with Casey and Brittany, but not me and my brother. Casey is the one that moved out....we just helped him do it initially. Bizarre! We don't care about Jane....just Tristan. My brother especially is hurt by Tristan not talking to him. But he won't do it unless his mother does. What a putz.

I'll be posting pictures of everyone having fun. Look for them on FB. Sorry Kathe, you really do need to set up an account.....just to look at our pictures.

I started taking medrol today....my temporary steroids. My rheumatologist prescribed it at my recent appointment. I'm hoping they keep me awake. They are supposed to keep the swelling in the legs at a minimum. He wants me to start with 8 pills a day and then do 7, 6, 5, etc. until the last one and then I have to continue taking one a day everyday long term.

It's probably a good thing because I need the energy. I have to pack again, but this time it's for a graduation.....so cruise casual clothing.....but with tripple digit temperatures. For cruising, at least there is air conditioning. I'm going to melt at the graduation. I have no idea what to wear.

Here's the picture of Will (on the left) receiving their VARSITY letters at the Teaneck Sports Dinner!!!! :banana::banana::banana: (a freshman... what's he gonna do next???:rolleyes:)

Night Michelle. Only 8:26PM here!!

Sometimes I feel like I'm on California time! :)

That's a good one Holly... I like that! :thumbsup2

Michelle, congrats to William! :)

Thank you... thank you!!! :worship::worship::worship:

I think he MAY be on his way to beating his sister, Maysie in sports (and that's not an easy thing to do... SHE got Sportsman of the year several times while in HS... :goodvibes:goodvibes (but I don't think she lettered in Fr. year... )

I told Will at the beginning of the year NOT to compare himself to May and her accomplishments. (because she had alot of them...) That he needed to have his own. I think he took my advice... :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Family events are always a tough one. We sort of had to walk on eggshells at Em's graduation, but she was VERY smart and we were very lucky... it was held in an arena and Lynda sat on one side of the arena (where Em told her to...) and we sat on the other side. I was worried about running into her, seeing as I'm one of the people she assaulted 8 years ago, but it worked out good. They went out to dinner the night before with Em and Frank and it worked out well...

You've planned a great weekend for him. He knows you love him and don't be surprised if Tristan misses you too... :hug::hug: Just be open to any possibility... :grouphug:

something very cool and comfy.. if you have the cool wraps I made, bring them and a small cooler if you can filled with ice so you can put them in and get them cold again... a hat is good... COLD water... not sure if you can, but freeze some water bottles and bring them... I did that at the boy's graduations in TX where it was over 100 each time. Even the blue ice things for your cooler.. they are cold and you can wrap them in paper towels and at least keep yourself cool.. And if anyone tells you you can't bring it in.. tell them that they will be calling an ambulance (well, just threaten...) because of dehydration...
