Neither am I... even though we're gonna have crappy weather tomorrow and no real snow in sight... I just want it up in the mountains because Oak Mtn is opening and they need the snow to get the skiing going...
Are you sure they haven't already been open a while? Ours all opened about a week and a half ago, and we're nowhere near the mountains, and most have a 3ft snow base.

oak Mtn is the ski place at the lake. it's run by volunteers the last couple of years and they need as much of the natural stuff as possible... :thumbsup2

they have snow makers... but if mother nature provides then it saves them money... :thumbsup2

Work is super crazy....only good thing is that I'm getting some OT (next week too). Bad thing - barely have time to breathe, & no time to chat w/ Michelle on im.

Little irratated today...but will get over it (I need to - I need my job). I was told today that I will NOT be allowed to take the time off needed to do the b2b Repo/AK...so, am going to cancel the repo & keep the Alaska portion (grr). Figure I'll go into Seattle early - check that out since I've never been, but not sure - now need to go back to the drawing board.

Mostly irratated about not getting the 21st of January off...found out that I could have gotten on the Dream for 3 nights (cast shakedown cruise) if I could have gotten the day off.

Oh well.....again, I'm still employed and still have time off for the MV and the AK cruises.

Monica, I'm sorry you had to cancel the repo  I'm glad you still have Alaska to look forward to though.

I can't get on Facebook. Somebody in Morocco tried to access my account, so my password wouldn't work, I tries to change it and now can't access FB at all. I get a message telling me I have to go through the process on a computer to get it straightened out, which means I have to take my laptop somewhere with internet access tomorrow. What a hassle.

That's crazy Holly :sad2: When you do get back on, will you say hi to everyone for me, seems more and more aren't stopping by to say hi here anymore :sad1:

Shannon and Ken, great to hear you are settling in happily to your new home :thumbsup2 Are the girls very excited about Christmas yet? Sorry that I have all your snow at the moment! We are supposed to get snow, or rain, or both tomorrow. Yuck! It's going to be a messy day.

Marilyn, sorry you are still having winter woes. We still have tons of snow, but because we have plows available, almost all of our roads are clear.

Michelle, yay, a family wedding to look forward too :yay:

Hi Kathe! Done! And I'm still jealous of your snow. we still have NONE. :( Just lots of rain.

.......

HI KATHE
Been busy knitting and crocheting for family gifts. Lurking on the thread as I can do that and knit, but cannot post.

Sure wish we were all at Castaway Cay away from this winter.

Hi Kathe, and Jan for that matter!!!!

We only have snow left in the nooks and crannies now, but it is forecast again for the end of next week! Go away!:headache:

Hi friends.....I know it's been a while. I have not been on FB much either. I'm still recouperating from our Turkey day trip. I had steroids for my October trip and it was too close to take them again a month later for my November trip. I'm suffering from extreme exhaustion. At this time of year, the exhaustion is causing me to be depressed because I can't get anything done that needs to be taken care of. I'm about ready to give up on Christmas this year. I bought a two foot tree that comes in a pot. That's all we're putting up this year. I did manage to finish all my shopping online, but I have no energy to wrap anything.

Next month I have the maiden voyage on the Dream. I'm definitely going to be taking steroids for that or I'll sleep right through it. Right now I'm not excited about anything and I could care less about everything. I just want to go back to sleep. It's horrible feeling this way. I feel like I'm never going to get out of this funk. I'm just tired, tired, tired. It's very frustrating, especially at this time of the year when there is so much to be done.

Deb, sorry to read how down you are feeling. Have you talked to your doctor?

Deb, sorry to read how down you are feeling. Have you talked to your doctor?

Not this time, Marilyn. I have talked to two of my doctors previously about it. They just give me more perscribed drugs to take. I try not to take them. When I do, I don't go to sleep for days. That's no solution. I just sleep and eventually I won't be so tired one day.

I usually try to pace myself knowing my limitations.....one day on, one day off, one month on, one month off. In October I was away for one whole month. That's a lot for me. Then I went away again in November. That's too much for me. Then it's Christmas and then the Dream. It's a lot for me all at once. So I'm tired and I sleep a lot.

Thanks for your concern. I know it will go away eventually. It always does. It just takes a while and I get frustrated while waiting. That and the timing is not good. It's Christmas. So that makes me feel worse. Oh well. It will get better eventually.

Thanks Holly! Guess what.............................................................it's snowing again :lmao: We did not get rain today, just lots of very wet snow. It's still snowing heavily and I've heard it's supposed to keep coming down :headache:

Hi Jan! How is that granddaughter of yours :cutie: Glad you are keeping well, and yes I wish we could winter it out at Castaway Cay too!

Hi Marilyn! Here's hoping the forecast is wrong!

Hi Deb,

I've been wondering where you were. I'm so sorry you haven't been feeling well, and understand how it has gotten you down. Sending lots of hugs :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: Just take one day at a time, don't worry about what isn't getting done right now, just rest and feel better. I'm sure John will help you get some things off your to do list. It must be very overwhelming to feel this way, but I'm glad you know it will get better :tink::tink::tink::tink:

Thanks Kathe....just gotta give it the time it takes. I'll be back everyday again when I'm able.

Aw Deb, I'm so sorry you've got this going on. I hope you're able to just sleep, sleep, and sleep, to get really rested up for next month on the Dream.

Kathe, we finally got snow! It started sometime after midnight last night and has not stopped. :thumbsup2 All schools are closed tomorrow because it's not supposes to stop until late tomorrow afternoon! :goodvibes. It was so beautiful driving around! I had to find my shovel in the garage because it was my first time shoveling this season. I love it!

Bad news is that my dad tore a rotator cuff shoveling a couple days ago. He has an KRISHNA tomorrow so they can see whether he needs surgery or just physical therapy. I hope not surgery because he's really turned feeble this past year.

Hi everybody!

Went to my nieces Christmas dance recital this evening, which was very enjoyable. Kaleigh really wants to take dance, so we'll probably sign her up in the fall.

Monica - sorry you had to cancel a cruise, but looking forward to still seeing you on the Alaska portion :goodvibes

Holly - I'm happy you are getting the snow you want. :thumbsup2

Deb - Hang in there. You know you'll feel better in time.

Hi Marilyn, Albert and anybody else that is around

do I have your current address? & what do the girls want for gifts?

::yes:: yes you do, Deb put it on the xmas list.
And the girls want someone who will play Barbies with them, so get up here and get busy ;)

::yes:: the girls are looking forward to Christmas. They helped put together the tree today and over the next few days we'll get the decorations put on, and all the other Christmas stuff out. The girls were excited to see it coming out. They were happily playing with old nesting dolls this afternoon. Hope your day isn't too messy! :)

Well anti depressants really take a few weeks to make a difference and can be difficult at first. Sometimes you need that bit of help I think to just get out of the funk. I know in hindsight you have probably done too much this end of the year, but I hope you feel a bit brighter by Christmas.

Shannon, I'm glad to hear you're just now getting your Christmas stuff up today because we're not finished either. We got the tree up a little over a week ago and Tyler decorated it, but we have lots more to do. We hang lights inside around the windows and doorways and have a few outside decorations to get out. Might do that later today. :)
