Hi Kathe and Michelle....I'm recording Oprah since it's her last season. Then I delete the ones I don't want to watch and watch the ones I like. I only have 29% available on my DVR. I just got back from vaca and I started at 50% available before I left. I leave again in three months and will be recording the Royal Wedding because I'll be in Sonoma Wine Country all day on that date. It will be my 21st anniversary of mine and John's first date doing a wine tasting. How appropriate.

it was supermodels... you can skip it... :lmao::lmao:

Gotta go out and spread icemelt...

be right back... :thumbsup2

Pictures will be coming shortly. Thanks for your input on the Champagne Girls. I think the next one will be the best one.

I have SO MUCH to tell you about the Dream cruise. First of all, it was BIG and BEAUTIFUL. Second, there was a lot of people and competition. There was many long lines to be waited in.....getting onboard out in the rain for 1 1/2 hrs., in the terminal for another hour, onboard to change dining arrangements...and then they did it wrong anyway, each time you went to guest services, each time you went for a meal at a restaurant, getting Ducky to sign our lithos, forget about getting into the stores for maiden voyage merchandise....I just bought a bag on ebay because everyone horded them and I wasn't going to stand in line from 1:30pm until the stores opened at 6:30pm. Then everything didn't work well. The phone in my room, the table arrangements for dinner, ordering at dinner and getting it all wrong or not coming at all.....many bugs to be worked out.

Now that I have prefaced with the negatives.....the positives far outweighed. The boat is techno chic and gorgeous. It sparkles everywhere you look. There are many improvements, for example Shutters. We were assigned a binder, like in a library, we were Mickey Red 30 and all of our pictures were inside there. The wave phones are awesome. Every stateroom gets phones to use while roaming around the boat and they fit in our wristlet bags. There are also little sitting alcoves everywhere.....there are bars and restaurants that are incredible. The pools are beautiful. The spa is beautiful. Our verandah was HUGE!!!! We had a party out there on the last night and everyone was comfortable, not crowded. The whole thing was awesome. They need to work the bugs out and they are listening to us and making improvements. After six months, it should be perfect since there is a learning curve for many new crew members.

Just bring comfey walking shoes because you will lose weight even with all your meals.....lots of walking every day. It's a BIG BOAT!!!

I loved it and can't wait to do it in November.

Thanks Deb for taking the time to give a review of the Dream :goodvibes It sounds like it will take a while for them to get everything running smoothly but I am glad that you still managed to stay upbeat and enjoyed your cruise! It sounds like it is a beautiful ship! What did you think of the adult pool area? I have been reading a lot of negative posts :sad2:

I am having second thoughts about booking the Fantasy for May 2012...I hate line-ups and just wouldn't bother. I may move that cruise to later in the year...but I am really hoping that there will be a cruise to Hawaii and I would then postpone my Fantasy cruise to 2013;)

Exactly what I was thinking :rotfl2:

I watched a bit of Ellen too :lmao:

Has anyone watched the movie The Fighter? I watched it the other day with Sara, thought it was really good. Of course I closed my eyes during all of the boxing scenes

I'm still tring to get to the Scotia 1 plex to see Harry Potter!!! :rotfl:

Hi everyone!

I'll be on the LA to Vancouver repo and the first Alaska!:cool1:

Then I'm doing a B2B on the Dream, starting on Nov. 6, is it? Not sure, don't have it in front of me. But several of "us" will be on all these trips and I'm really looking forward to seeing you, especially those I haven't seen since 2008!

Michelle, me and John are doing the LA/Alaska B2B; then we're doing the Dream Nov 2011 B2B. We're holding a dummy date for the Hawaiian.

Kaz cancelled the LA/Alaska.

Ditto what Cheri & Deb said...that's what I'm booked on! :thumbsup2

To all Thieves on the repo.....where are you staying the night before?
I was looking at the Crown Plaza, but now that there are three of us I don't want to share a double bed and they don't have queens. I could see if Peg and Cheri want to book "our" triple on the Queen Mary, but I'd rather be in San Pedro I think...plus, been there/done that.

.

Deb-Amazing Pics :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2Thank you!

Loved seeing all the familiar faces as well as pics of the new ship :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

got ya Jackie!!!

Might I suggest either seeing if they have a rollaway for the room OR.. sometimes mom and I if we are traveling with one of the girls will book a king size bed and get a rollaway if they have them... some hotels now also have king size beds and a sofa bed... (you can tell we travel with the kids...)

Jackie, me and John are staying at the Crown Plaza in Rodondo Beach. We'll probably hook up a dinner with Tracy and Woody. We were there after the PC....well actually in Torrence a town away....and we love the area. We'll have a car and John likes to drive so it doesn't matter where we stay. We'll most likely turn in the rental the night before and grab car service to the port in the morning.

Absolutely Kathe....I'll always share with you. It is good to see everyone as well as seeing the ship. We did have a great time.

I think the pool area is great. I know a lot of people think that it's too small for swimming, but most people sit on the edge anyway and they made lots of room to do that. There's even a bar you can sit in while in the water. I love it. Naturally, it was only in the 60's so I never got wet. I thought I would wait until November when it should be in the 80's.

The Fantasy will have a learning curve too. Now that I have done a maiden voyage on a new ship, I won't do it again on the Fantasy. I paid extra for all the nonsense. It was not Disneyesque. It was worth doing once, but now I'm done. You'll have to weigh it out for yourself. Also, see what they announce in mid March for the new itineraries.:cutie:

We're at the Doubletree. They have a shuttle and they have a rental car drop.
