Never ever take chest pains lightly and always go and get them checked out.

That would be nice, wouldn't it. Don't count on it though. The only way through this is to work towards change and destress along the way. Then I always like to balance the load by adding more positive when there is so much negative taking place. Make sure you take the time to do some favorite things to put more good back in.

Just watching the weather....Hurricane Alex is supposed to hit shore tonight just south of Corpus Christie, TX where my brother lives on a ship. I have to call him and see if the ship will be going out to sea. That's usually what they do in a storm. He'll be rocking and rolling tonight. I'll be happy to be on dry land.

Tomorrow is doctor day again, this time for Ray. I take him for a check up every 4 months. I hope the weather holds. I hate to take him out in the rain.

Greetings from the observation deck of the S.S. Northwestern Hospital.

This afternoon at work, around 3:15 pm I started having chest pains that eventually went my left arm and my hand was tingling.

I got carted off in an ambulance, was in ER and am now in overnight for observation. They are doubtful it was a heart attack. I go for a stress test tomorrow.

It was very embarrassing at work getting wheeled out of the office and then through the building lobby.

I debated whether to tell anyone about the chest pains, and waiting to see if it would just go away. But it was serious enough for me to do something.

So it looks like I'm ok.

On the bright side with what this is going to cost I've probably hit our deductible and maximum out of pocket expense for 2010!

Ian, do you really need to go to this extent to get new blog material

Hope you are feeling better and that they are sending you home soon. Hope they can give you some answers too so you have peace of mind, and aren't worrying about having more pains.

You've been given great advice from everyone here as far as the job and stress go. I can't say it any better, but I am certainly in agreement

I better take a nap this afternoon. I have to be awake at midnight to book DCL again. I got everything I wanted for the 4 night. Tonight I'm booking for the 3 night.

I get to book for the Dream inaugural cruise on the 3rd night of my October cruise. The only thing I'm booking is a Palo brunch. I wonder if Palo on the Wonder can book me for Palo on the Dream? Probably not. I'll be up at Cove Cafe at midnight on my laptop.

Our reservations for our PC cruise in January are due to be made when we are on the September cruise. I am not getting up on there to go down to the internet place, and John won't pay for internet onboard either. I'm wondering whether a West coaster friend might book some things for us as they book at 9pm. We'll see. It doesn't really matter too much if we don't get anything for that cruise as we have done all the Palo meals now and could manage without. No doubt we could still get dinner once we arrive in Florida and have internet, but that is the one I am least bothered about. We like going up to Topsiders for the odd evening, or Beach Blanket as it will be on that cruise. I think it actually feels very special up there to be honest.

Consider it done. It's not a problem at all. You can FB or email or PM me your info when you know what you want to book. Give me dates and times that you prefer. I'll get as close to it as possible, if not exact. Consider Palo, Spas and Excursions. I'm a pro at it by now....hahaha.

Not to worry about hurricanes. DCL will not put you in danger. They will reroute. One time they put us off the ship early and then gave us a 50% discount if we booked our next cruise within one year. DCL will take care of you no matter what the weather. I have cruised many times in hurricane season. Actually I prefer that time of year to cruise. You'll be fine and you'll have a great time.
