Good news. The angiogram did no turn up any blockages. I'll be discharged tomorrow. They're still not sure why my heart went a bit wacky for that short time suing the stress test or what might be causing the chest pain, but at least the worst culprits have been ruled out.

They moved me to a nice room. I have a lakeview.
Oh, this is GREAT NEWS!!!!!! :cool1:

TGIP (PAYDAY!)!!!!!! Paid bills and bought our tickets for the pirate sail Friday morning!!!! :woohoo: Can't wait!!!!!

Greetings from the observation deck of the S.S. Northwestern Hospital.

This afternoon at work, around 3:15 pm I started having chest pains that eventually went my left arm and my hand was tingling.

I got carted off in an ambulance, was in ER and am now in overnight for observation. They are doubtful it was a heart attack. I go for a stress test tomorrow.

It was very embarrassing at work getting wheeled out of the office and then through the building lobby.

I debated whether to tell anyone about the chest pains, and waiting to see if it would just go away. But it was serious enough for me to do something.

So it looks like I'm ok.

On the bright side with what this is going to cost I've probably hit our deductible and maximum out of pocket expense for 2010!

:scared1::scared1::scared1:
Ian...what the hell????? I'll have no more of this, especially when I'm not at home to properly worry about you!! Jackie just "told" me about this. Seriously, I'm so glad you're OK. Please take care of yourself!:flower3:

Excellent news, and upgraded for your last night!!!:thumbsup2

AND I've gotten rid of one of my meds, so that agrees with me too. :thumbsup2 I've not been sleeping all the time and have been feeling things I didn't even realize I WASN'T while on Paxil. I got teary over something on TV a couple days ago and it wasn't until then that I realized I didn't cry once over the past couple years while taking it. Sure, I needed it for anxiety attacks over all the phone calls I was receiving from school almost daily and all the other crap we were dealing with, and it really made me NOT feel all that stress and anxiety, etc.....BUT....it also made me not feel much of anything at all, which I didn't realize until going off it. There was a funny thing at work today that made me laugh so hard for so long, I couldn't catch my breath and was almost in tears from laughing so hard! It was awesome to be able to laugh like that! Yet another thing I didn't realize I wasn't doing much of while on the med. There are many other things I'm noticing now that my head is clear that the timing definitely makes me believe were related to the med too. I'm happy to be Paxil-free! I had enough years of it! :goodvibes

More good news. It just wasn't normal to be sleeping so much, so now you have more time to enjoy life, laughing and crying!!!!:cool1:

I figured out what you all can get me for Christmas.....

.....The Disney Premier Annual Pass...a mere $700. I could really use it next year, since I'll be at both coasts for cruises and could still pop over to DLR for occasional long weekend! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Well that is a very nice view indeed.
I must remember to book in here for my next holiday.

I'm waiting to see the doctors. I'm probably being discharged today. The good news is that my heart and arteries are healthy. That was a scare. I still have the chest pain though and the don't know what's causing it. But at least the very bad stuff has been ruled out.

I think I really need to change my lifestyle and that means sorting out my work situation.

Might be a great view, but not the best place to spend a holiday!!!!!;):lmao:

I hope next time you post you are home and they medics have decided what to do with you. We want something easy to treat and preferably something that will settle on its own!!!

Thanks Michelle :)

It has been a great day here today! Lovely, warm but not too hot, and sunny! I thought I might head downtown to some of the festivities but was too tired! I enjoyed my company last night but they wore me out! By the time I finished doing a couple of hours of gardening and laundry today I was just too tired. I really enjoyed relaxing the rest of the day reading on my deck though :goodvibes

I work tomorrow then will be off to pick up my new car!

Glad all the really bad stuff was ruled out Ian  What a great view you have! Hope you are back home by now relaxing and that the pain will subside soon. Sending pixie dust and hugs that a few weeks or months from now you'll be reporting how much happier and healthier you are feeling :wizard:

Ooooh, Jackie - I bought one on my recent trip and scored a massive 20% discount at sooo many Disney stores!!! Would you believe that me and my girlfriend "saved" over $350 on this trip alone!!!! So, a bargain IMO - at least that's what I'm telling Richard... ;)
