I went on a road trip today in search of a new car. I must say I hate wheeling and dealing, not my thing at all! In the end I had the best offer today, then came back home, called someone I had spoken to here in town and they have beat the out-of-town quote I got Yay...but why couldn't they just all give me a quote for the lowest price in the first place I'm sure I could find a lower price eventually if I kept on with the search.....but I'm tired and my time is worth something too! So...I think I will be making a deal for a brand new car tomorrow morning


Of course I will be broke for the next 4 yrs

YEAHHHHH Congrats!!! Do we get to see a pic or a link? What kind and what color? Is it Red like the QM's? And Marilyn's dress?

I'll tell ya... it takes one bout of being brought down by alot of pain to get you to appreciate the good days...

I'm workin on it... so far I'm feeling about a 1/4 tired... which is still not a normal tired. You're right... when you deal with so much pain, your body just wants to give in and rest. It's all it knows to do to heal. You sort of have to trick it...

It's an adjustment for sure. I have learned to live within my limitations. I have found a new balance. I still get flare ups from time to time, but less often.

You know what it's like to sleep with him??? First... he hogs up all the covers... THEN... he turns and I get a little green furry butt in my face which I guess is a little bit better than waking up with an antennae in your eye...

But... he did say that the first round is on him...

Well it's a Toyota (putting on armour )

My current car is a 1997 Camry and I have LOVED it! I always knew I would buy another Toyota when the time came, but with recent recalls I did question my choice. However, after consulting a lot of people whom I respect and trust in their judgement, I have decided on another Toyota. I need a car that will last a long time and not need frequent repairs. I am hoping my new car will be as good as my last.

So...yes...it's a Corolla Magnetic gray

Hi Deb, already answered about my day

As far as living alone again, I am slowly adjusting to it. Some days I love it...some days not so much.

One of these days...REALLY...I will post some pics of Serenity! She is so cute, and talking up a storm Everyone's coming over for dinner tomorrow night so that will be fun.

I think I mentioned that I went out with a friend to see a movie a couple of weeks ago? Her son was married and had two children, but they split and his ex has had another child since then with her new partner...and they called her Serenity!!! I can't believe that there is another Serenity in town!

Greetings from the observation deck of the S.S. Northwestern Hospital.

This afternoon at work, around 3:15 pm I started having chest pains that eventually went my left arm and my hand was tingling.

I got carted off in an ambulance, was in ER and am now in overnight for observation. They are doubtful it was a heart attack. I go for a stress test tomorrow.

It was very embarrassing at work getting wheeled out of the office and then through the building lobby.

I debated whether to tell anyone about the chest pains, and waiting to see if it would just go away. But it was serious enough for me to do something.

So it looks like I'm ok.

On the bright side with what this is going to cost I've probably hit our deductible and maximum out of pocket expense for 2010!

If this was an anxiety attack, you aren't helping yourself by worrying about the costs.

Remember, a job is just a job. It is only what we do so we can have a life - it is not a life in itself. If that job is hindering your ability to have a life - especially a healthy one - then it isn't worth it. There are other jobs out there.

Besides, soon Sukie's stardom will have you both living high on the hog!

You take care of yourself. I'll chew you out just as easily as I will chew out Michelle and Deb.

So John and I talked about the Casey cruising situation this morning. We both want to go for it. We're keeping his reservation and we're hoping beyond all hope that he gets to come. We really want him to come and he really wants to go. So we're throwing caution into the wind and we're taking a huge risk. If he doesn't make it, we figured that MONICA could take a week off in October and do a B2B 4 night/3 night on the Wonder with us for free....better she use it than we waste it.

Deb, what a perfect solution! You and John are so generous!

Back from the Dr's....no lyme disease (yeah!). I basically have NO Vitamin D or B in my system. Dr said that could explain SO much! Will start w/ prescription for Vitamin D once I pick it up from the drug store, and OTC Vitamin B12 too. If B12 is not better by the time for next blood work--I go to B12 shots. Thanks for everyone's concern.

Monica, this is such a relief! This should get you back on track before you know it.

No news yet about the boy....my sister is supposed to tell me when they hear anything.

Visit was good...I was able to spend 1-1 time with both Ian & Sydney. It was really tough leaving. Ian is SO tall now! He's 5'7" - 7 inches already on me, and he's still growing! Hope to get pics up this week.

I can imagine how hard it must be to leave, but so glad you got 1-1 time with both. I'm sure they each loved it too!

Let's hope that it all works out, but just in case I would love you to be a back up. Maybe Michelle can do the 4 night as a back up.

Another perfect plan, considering Michelle's been trying desperately to get on a cruise since we all got bootted off at the end of the PC cruise.

Thanks. Still under the influence of drugs...so no pain and doing fine.

The doc said it's progressing very slowly. He's taking me off the Keflex antibiotic when this script runs out in 2 weeks. He said to keep putting it in chlorine.

I have been lying down a lot so the edema and swelling has gone down, the color is good, the leaking has decreased. The only real problem is that it feels like sandpaper on sunburn from time to time. Hopefully that will go away when it's completely healed.

It's slow, but it's progress.

Next appointment is one month.

This is reassuring. Slow progress is better than no progress or worsening.
