Thanks for thinking of me Holly I'm fine, didn't even feel the quake Most people I talked to had felt it though. I went to work about an hour after the quake and everyone was talking about it and I was I had been finishing up my laundry and think I was probably in the basement at the time and had the washer and dryer noises around me. In any case, I missed all of the excitement!

Although it was felt here, it was much worse in and around Ottawa.

Kaleigh managed to fall out of her bed twice last night. She has been filling up the bed with books and leaving herself less and less room. And she lost her second baby tooth yesterday, but forgot to bring it home from daycare, so the tooth fairy won't get it until tonight. She has a 3rd tooth loose already. She's excited to be going "toothless"

Hope you're taking lots of pics of her "toothless" stage I imagine she likes the prizes that come with losing each one

Sounds like she needs to empty her bed before falling asleep! Did she have trouble falling back to sleep after falling out of bed? Kids always seem to go right back to sleep while the mom's take a while!

Hi Friends....back on pain killers and sleeping a lot. My leg is killing me. It's never felt like this before. It hurts on the front of the leg too, I can't touch it at all. Just feels like it's getting worse instead of better. I've been trying to stay flat so that there's less swelling. I'm so fed up with it all.

I'm glad you are seeing the dr next week, but I hope you get some relief before then

I've been busy researching GPS units for the car. Trying to decide between the TomTom Go730 (which has an SD slot for music and pics) or the Magellan Maestro 4700 (which includes AAA TourBook info but no SD slot or MP3 player).

I am leaning towards the TomTom (www.tomtom.com/starwars), but that AAA tourbook info is VERY intriguing. Plus the Magellan is significantly cheaper.

I went to a work meeting yesterday for this area of Ontario and we were let out a couple of hours early (we were the keeners that took half the time of the other training groups they've had so far ). I felt like I was a teen again and skipping school for the day It had rained all morning but was beautiful and sunny when we were finally "released'.Went shopping and shopping and then did some more shopping. Mostly just window shopping, but I did manage to buy some shoes and shorts. Still had time to get home and spend a couple of hours on my deck reading

I have a new toilet being installed on Friday and am taking a little road trip next week to a dealership to see about a new car...BUT we are all set at work to have a strike mandate on July 6th

MICHELLE, KEN, IAN, everyone else....my leg is ok....really. It just hurts more all over because of the increased swelling. The swelling increased since I gained weight after starting the thyroid meds. I'm not going to do anything stupid. The color is good....it's not all red. I don't have a temperature. I'm good really. I will go to the doctor as scheduled on Tuesday. I couldn't make it there any earlier because of cars. Everything will be fine.

My next concern is the thyroid meds. I took the blood test on Saturday, but didn't get the results yet. I called the doctor yesterday and they said my lab is slow. I need to stableize the thyroid on the meds so that I can get back to losing weight again. I just lost 3 pounds in the last week so I'm adjusting to the medicine. I don't want to have to change the doseage and start over. I need to get the results of my blood test.

My weight is very much connected to the problems with my leg. I've had a setback with my thyroid. It's just one more thing to fix and then I can move forward again. It feels like an uphill battle. But as long as I don't give up and keep trying....eventually I'll get there.

Yes, if that is what is decided. There are only 4 managers in our store who are not union. It is scary, but I also know it is part of the "dance" that the company and union participate in every time our contract comes up. The difference this time is that we took such huge cutbacks just a year ago when they changed our banner name that there are a lot of frustrated workers. The company wants us to take more cutbacks and eliminate more of our benefits

She went right to sleep, was just a little upset that I moved all her books away. Need to take a grinning picture of her.
