I FINALLY met with my manager yesterday, at 3:00 pm. He had been in Chicago since Wednesday. Odd that he talk to me until then (other than hallway conversation).

So, let me get to the important stuff. My vacation requests for 2010 have been approved, the May request and the 10 days in October. I still have 10 days unplanned, plus 5 that I'm carrying into 2011.

Last night I made some changes to our May trip. Sukie does not want to fly out on Friday evening, April 30th. So I dropped that and we now arrive on Saturday, May 1st.

This is going to be a cheap trip for us. The Pop Century is only going to be $71 a night with an AP discount.

Now I have to get moving booking our flight's and Cheri's flights to Chicago.

Speaking of which, Cheri's bed should be delivered next weekend.

I just spoke to Cheri. I needed to have a confab with her before she sailed regarding her flights to Chicago in April.

Sounds very exciting.

Pity she has to travel with Jackie and Monica. What a drag.

A very good Saturday to one and all.

Busy day today. First thing this morning is a read through of the contract from the Tribune Company for Sukie's blog. That needs to be signed and faxed back to them.

Then a trip out to run our errands and a trip to the camera store to return some filters that don't work with our lens caps.

Then later, it's a bit of study time for both of us in getting know and use the new camera, and finally I have to do a bit of study up on the sever software for my own blog which I intent to launch in March.

Finally, I have to get ready for my WW meetings tomorrow morning.

But for now, I'm enjoying my favorite part of the day, when everyone is still asleep and the house is silent. Nothing better than silence and a cup of joe.

Hi Ian.

No I couldn't sleep and I still can't  How are you?

Poor you. Perhaps you will tonight. How are things with you and your family?

I am very well now thank you. It has taken longer than I thought as I usually recover very quickly from illnesses etc. I can't sit around and am certainly not a 'go to bed' person. Having spent 8 days in bed was enough for me!!

Ken and Shannon, I wish we could meet up for spring break.

Well if you could find your way down to San Diego on Sunday Mar 14 we'll be there from about 11am to the following day.

And we will have a few hours (6 or so) on Saturday when we get back from the cruise on the 20th before we fly out.

You know, you could always join us on the cruise too.... :thumbsup2

Sounds like everything is coming together.

Go give Cheri a good poke with a stick or something. That sloth has no right to be snoozing.

Hey Moncia, we're coming down there in May, are you going to be on another "cruise" when we're there?

I'm sure Monica will be in her back yard again with her inflatable pool and her rubber ducky... :boat:

& I can't believe that she talked them into joining her in her backyard soak this time... (monica and I were joking about that yesterday online...)

Hi Monica

Ohhh G... You're sleeping MY hours...  Hope it gets better...

YEAH, all my ressies are done. Monica, after cruise, take note...we will be in Lake Buena Vista at Staybridge Suites...right across from downtown. We'll be there from Sat May 15 to Friday May 21. We're driving down so no need for air flights....thank goodness. Kris' graduation is Mon May 17. He lives near the port. John said we'll just stay in Lake Buena Vista and drive over to the port for the day for Kris' graduation. That works for me.

Then we booked the same hotel from Sun Oct 24 to Sat Oct 30....again driving so no flights. We'll be meeting up with Ian and Sukie and Lucy and Ben...Sukie's daughter and grandson. Sounds like fun.

We also booked our hotel and car from Wed Nov 24 to Sat Nov 27 for a special turkey dinner at Eastwood Manor in Chicago. I can't wait.

The only other ressies I need to make, I still need dates for....at the end of February, we'll run down to Virginia to see Tristan at home before he takes off for Japan. Then in mid September we'll be going to Kris' boot camp graduation in one of the Carolina's.

Lots of travelling going on this year.

Ooooh Deb, Richard and I plus the family will be in WDW from Oct 17 to Oct 27 - maybe we can all squeeze in a little reunion??? :goodvibes

and you hate to travel right? ;)

Well.....two involve WDW and one of which includes two short cruises b2b to make a week. That part I will like. For the others, the graduations are family stuff being obligatory, but Eastwood Manor will be a hoot. I'm excited for that.

So in answer....yes, I like to travel. More for fun than obligation, but I like to travel all the same.

ABSOLUTELY Kaz, I always say the more the merrier. I'm looking forward to it even more now. YEAH.:yay::yay::yay:

Yeah, right. Let's play a game. I call it "mind reading." Let's see if you can read my thoughts about the situation.

I did read your mind, but since we've allready talked about it I won't bother sharing it here (hahahah stiring it up for sure ;)

everything plugged in--go to print test page then it gives me an error.

i'm done w/ this for tonight.

I need to go to bed too.....crazy how much I still need to do before picking up those ladies at the airport Friday afternoon.

did you call those ladies crazy? I should be there :sad2:

Nan, hope Paul's mom recovers quickly. Sorry work is still such long hours and busy. Should it settle down?

she is ok from what Paul tells me. She has 1-2 weeks recovery @ the Terraces (where my mom lives)

Work is a four lettered word. If I didn't laugh so much while there I'd hate it. But I like the peeps and we do laugh and snipe at each other all day. It's really a good spot for me. I keep hoping the hours will calm down, but my day is spent fighting fires from the moment I walk in the door. Much of the fires are new in nature so with a few more weeks they should be non issues. Just start-up growing pains that happen when you don't have VC money to start up with. (we are running on profits alone, so good from a shareholder place, but hard to cash flow for me)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY V!!!!

had to copy, but picture mine with a monarch instead :cutie:

Love ya V

Jackie, Cherie and Monica. Have a fantastic time on the cruise and look after the Magic for me!!! Just 4 weeks to our cruise!!

I was thinking that, until I saw the next line

I'm getting sad about Willie and I not going on EBTA :sad1:

He and I keep talking about what to do instead. I better get some plans in the works for us soon. Any idea what could a mom & her 10 year old son - go and do for a week (or so) vacation? I want something with a schedule of events and places, I don't want to drive myself. Some kind of tour thing...

My nephew called me last night...the Marine. He said Aunt Debbie guess what.....I'm going to Japan for the next two years. WOW! How awesome is that. I'm so very happy for him.

The first thing John said was, tell him to visit Tokyo Disney and let us know all about it. :rotfl:

What a great assignment :thumbsup2 ::yes:: Toyko Disney. And about the cost and lenght of flight, gulp, but maybe worth it?

This morning I got a phone call from Mrs. Bush's. It seems like they got a call from Ray's sister Arlene telling Mrs. Bush's that their brother Eddie died last night. Mrs. Bush's called me to ask what to do. I told them not to tell Ray. He didn't see or talk to his brother. His day to day has not changed. Why tell him and then he'll be a problem to handle. He'll be depressed and grieving. That's going to be hard for him mentally. I would rather he stay happy and remain in La La land.

Do you think I made the right decision? What would you do?:confused3

hard choice, sorry you had to decide what to do. I can't offer an opinion, but I worry about having to decide things like this in the future for my mom. It sucks when people around you and in your life get old :sad2:

Changed my mind on the camera again. Didnt realize that my point and shoot is different from what you guys mean by point and shoot. Looked at the one you got Deb, and just not what I want. I like to carry it around my wrist so that one is still too big. Ordered the fuji a few steps up from what I have. It will still fit in my pocket when I go on a ride at DL. Just dont see the diff in pic quality to be worth lugging around a real camera again. Why should I when Cheri is getting sooooo good with hers!

you completely understand my plan now don'tcha :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I don't even know what time he's on, but I wouldn't watch him anyway. Can't stand the guy.

well... you definately would have hated him THAT day... :lmao:

we (molly, willie and I) watched it for a little while and laughed our hinnies off. That Farmville lady was a nut job. btw, I have something that is worse that FB games or DISing - WORK is keeping me away from them and my kids :scared1:

I just spoke to Cheri. I needed to have a confab with her before she sailed regarding her flights to Chicago in April.

Sounds very exciting.

Pity she has to travel with Jackie and Monica. What a drag.

The real sad thing is that if I was there I'd create forced trouble and run away and laugh while it was happening....

and who was dressed in drag????

I told Willie he could wear Molly's gs vest to school and help her sell cookies (he wants one of her prizes, so he is offering to help) he refused to wear the vest and told me to stop asking him to dress like a girl :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

gender identity issues will come up in his therapy ya think :rolleyes1

What a shame, we just miss you in October. We have a few weeks there after the TA cruise, but fly home on the 20th October(from Miami).

Who is likely to be at WDW next January around the 2nd to 6th, or in LA when we arrive on the Panama Canal cruise on the 21st Jan? OK, I know that is far too far in the future!!!!!:lmao:

We are of course in Orlando in just 2 weeks on Monday. Apart from the cruise() 20th to 27th Feb, we are there until 20th March. Of course we will see Monica and Connie and Chuck!!!

ABSOLUTELY Kaz, I always say the more the merrier. I'm looking forward to it even more now. YEAH.:yay::yay::yay:

Fa-bu-lous, dahling!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: That's certainly added an extra level of excitement to the trip... :thumbsup2

Ken your spring break vaca plans are awesome sounding :thumbsup2

I'm jealous you have a kid plan in place. Ours happens when they turn 18, that means when he turns 18 --- no one to babysit for us for a travel get away :sad2:

It makes me realize that I'll be a nice grandparent and offer to babysit for my kid's kids. Ya parent the opposite of your parents on some points right

I can't blame my parents, they were too old for our kids when we had them, but I'm a bit miffed at Paul's parents that they aren't able to offer us that option  Oh well more family time for us.

Deb - love the list of travel. Wishing I could be with you for some of it (who knows... with me having a job now...maybe I will ;)

Hi Kaz :flower3:
