The black and white girl is our Casey's (RIP) daughter, Kelsey. Kelsey looks like her dad but acts just like her mama. She is 14 years old.

:rotfl2: I'm not sure how to put this into words, but my first thought was cartoon porn....I don't know why, but that's just the first thing that comes to mind! :rotfl2: But......seriously.....Those are different than ones you showed a picture of last year....LOVE THEM! :thumbsup2

By the way ........ love the quilt too!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.....

Here's a shot looking over to the corn field....it was harvested last weekend. Good thing. John's truck is parked in the opening. This is John's diamonds or better known as THE BEAST. Naturally the plow is not attached and it's snowing. But there's not enough to clean up yet....we need at least 6-12 inches before we can plow.

Tammy, it's so nice to see you here again  How are you doing? How are the kids? When are you sailing next?

I've had a rough day, worked all day then went to see my brother's apartment and things :sad2::sad1::sad1: Don't even know how to deal with what I've seen at the moment :sad1:

:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

:hug: Michelle & Deb, hugs for both of you, and prayers for your uncles. I hope they both recover and are home soon.:hug:

Super busy weekend, off to get caught up on FB. I probably have lots of dead fish & wilted crops. :rotfl:

Oh Kathe, that is so tough for you, and awful for you to go through it alone without family help.

I'm sorry, Kathe - this sounds so awful for you.   I really hope someone will help you share the burden. Richard and I are thinking of you over here in the UK...

Don't pass judgement. He could have been so sick in the end that he just couldn't keep up with it. Forgive him and know that he's in a better place.

Hugs to you for having to clear out the place all by yourself. You really should get your other brother to try and help you. If not, how about Brian or Sara? Try not to do it alone.

Thanks :grouphug: My other brother, and his wife, did end up going with me last night to my brother's apt so that did help. Deb, it isn't about passing judgement , it's more about accepting how horrible his life was, and that none of us had succeeded in helping him to change, and that he chose the life of drugs and alcohol over us. There's guilt, even though we know he was the one who had to want to change and do the work to change. It's knowing that we have all lost the battle , and though we have happy memories from many years ago, it's sadness for all the years that came after that. He was very sick at the end, but is at peace now.

My family had our annual tree decorating party today. One thing we brought home from my brother's was a huge collection of old LP's. We had a great time going through the collection together. We are amazed in what great condition they are in. They were obviously my brother's most prized possession, his only possession really. Looks like I'm going to have to shop around for an inexpensive turntable for Christmas!

This is a great pic! Love the T-shirts!

Happy Belated Birthday to Paul!

hi folks!
Popping in to say hi! It was a fun relaxing weekend for me mostly. Got most about 60% of the Christmas decorating done. :cool1:
Unfortunately went to go out in the van last night, and there was a flat tire, and ended up getting the vehicle towed to the tire place today, because the locking nut to get the wheel off was cracked. None of the tire places are open today, so hopefully the one I picked will have the tire I need. I was planning on buying new tires and rims this week anyway, so its just a bit of inconvenience with the towing, but thanks to AAA it was free.

Ian - you're shopping story sounds like a real bargain trip :thumbsup2

Michelle & Deb -sending pixie dust to you for your uncles :grouphug:

Nan - great picture! :thumbsup2 and belated Happy Birthday to Paul :dance3:

Hi to everybody, I'm off to get the last of the necessary laundry done.:laundy: I only aim to get the absolute necessary laundry done, I'm not even trying to get caught up anymore.

Why does the word Centerfold come to mind???

I hope your uncle is ok Michelle. At that age anything can happen but he is in the right place at the moment.

Ian and Sukie - those jammiez sure look comfy.

Thanks Marilyn...

Mom taled to Uncle Frank today... He sounds good she said... He apparently started feeling weak and lost a dramatic amount of weight recently so they put him in the hospital... except that every one of the tests come back normal... so if he's not any better by monday... they may let him go home and do tests on an outpatient basis...

I personally think he just wanted to flirt with the nurses...

I will, Ian! I've found that they do ship internationally so will definitely be ordering. I live in PJs so these are perfect... :thumbsup2

I love this saga! And never lose sight of one thing, that it was all started by a hat...

I've become so I won't buy anything unless I get a discount. Except Disney cruises and purses, of course... ;)

Fah-bu-lous!!! :goodvibes I love it so much it's now my desktop pic...

Some hugs for you too, lovely lady...

Hey Deb, I just wanted to tell you that I've had the gorgeous Star of Bethlehem hanging on the window going up the stairs since September. However, it seemed appropriate to put it on our living Christmas tree in the sitting room - and it looks gorgeous...

So sorry it falls to you...

Christmas is in full swing in Lincoln Square what with the German ChristmasKindle Market that's going on.

Sukie and I ventured out yesterday afternoon to the big tent set up in the city parking lot near our L stop.

In the afternoon we were out with our video camera, so there may be a video of the yuletide video of the village in which Eastwood Manor is located.

It was even more intense when we went out last night. Choir sounds coming from the tent. There was a brass quintet on a corner playing carols on a street corner. The fountain in the square covered with evergreen leaves and Christmas lights, a Christmas tree in the square. There were also holiday ice sculptures dotting the street, so it was fortunate that the temperature was below freezing.

The streets were PACKED with holiday shoppers and visitors. It looked like a Hallmark Christmas card. Picture a Christmas TV movie with an old fashioned town's Main Street decorated for Christmas and store windows decorated and ablaze with lights.

What particularly struck us was the number of visitors to the neighborhood. Parking must have been a nightmare.

I guess credit goes to our alderman and the local mechant's association who have seemed to be successful in making Lincoln Square a holiday shopping destination.

It was so cutesy I could puke.

Now I know how people must feel who live in twee English villages who have tourists descend on them with regularity.

Yeah... Bah Humbug to you too... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Send you pixiedust: oh no I am sorry to heard that news and hope he is keeping well....
