The coldest day I spent was one summer in San Francisco

It can get REALLY cold in the city in the summer

it's the FOG

makes sense tell John thanks for the info I have a picture in my mind now :thumbsup2

I'll be too drunk to wash dishes - I volunteer to help Ian in the kitchen with the cooking. And before you say NO - I'm that sous chef that washes whatever hits the sink after use. I hate dinning with a dirty kitchen :snooty:

Maybe we will miss stuff maybe we won't. I'm just happy to do the 1st Alaska cruise. That's why I'm sticking with those dates. As to the ocean, it can't be any worse that crossing the Atlantic in APRIL :scared1::scared1::scared1:

We do get big swells in CA, but I'd be more concerned further north to be honest. But again...I'm still going so whatever :woohoo:

I'm excited to be on the 1st Alaska cruise too, and 1st cruise to Canada:thumbsup2 But I have been reading a lot and was just wondering. I'd rather know what to expect so I'm not dissappointed. I figure the TA will be a good test to see how much I enjoy cruising in cooler weather, not to mention the rocking of the ship:scared1:

A bit better Kathe... need to get out and start excercising a bit to see if I can get things moving again... :) I think part of my problem is tension... :headache:

Pack flannel, down, bonine and champagne, and you'll be fine... btw... Nan can tell you San Francisco can be a bit on the cool side even in July... so bring a sweater along... (or join me at the Buena Vista for an Irish Coffee... :goodvibes)

Oh good... Nan's doing the dishes... :dance3: :dance3:

& it will be spring time... maybe it won't be as bad as a winter storm coming in... :confused3

I'll be able to just pack my regular winter attire

Glad you're feeling a bit better!

I'll be prepared! But I'm hoping for a little warmer than that! It will still be chilly here too more than likely.

so does anyone think they will do anything special since the Wonder will be the first Disney ship to arrive in SF & Canada???

Hey ... Red and White fireworks do it for you?

Ummm Deb......

He says thanks...

Deb.... BLACK SUNDAY!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

STOP THE PRESSES....are we meeting on FRIDAY or SUNDAY? I thought Deborah was leaving on Friday and that's the date. Am I forgetting it. I am over 50 ya know. OGIT. Please advise.

Ohhh I was so having the apple ones until I got down to the Banana with Belgian Chocolate ones... :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

Deb... we'll be doing laps around Lincoln Park together... :woohoo:

Lincoln Square....I don't think it's a park. Ian?

You won't see any dead mice. They will leave because they'll look for water and die somewhere far away. Really. It works and it's easy. You just have to replace them about once a year. That's it. Just hide them good everyplace you have seen a mouse.
So is rat poison different than mouse poison? Because they're not touching the mouse poison. :headache:

For those of you that will be cruising along with me to Alaska 05/03/11, is anyone worried about the temps being cooler than they will be a little later in the season, or that it might be too early for some excursions, that some won't even be running yet? Will the Pacific really be quite wavey in late April , early May? I need to stop reading reviews

I would imagine that it's going to be freezing in early May. I have been up to Maine near the Canadian border at the end of April and it was freezing. The beginning of May in Alaska is going to be very cold. Dress warmly.

We should see whales though and that makes up for everything....for me anyway.

Do you find you are liking the week at a time better? Looking forward to seeing you around this week

I do like it better because Tyler likes it and seems happier. I asked him earlier in the week how he's liking getting a whole week at each house and he told me he really likes it because he feels like he gets more time with each of us. :thumbsup2

Ummm Deb......

FINALLY!!! Deborah and Shannon got theirs before you got yours.

btw, Planky never looked so marvelous!

It's for all our original girls who could not be with us in Tortola....you were missed but not forgotten. :cutie:

I don't know for certain, but if I had to guess I would say yes. We tried mouse things first then went to Agway and asked for help. This is what he gave us and it worked. That's all I know.

Off to bed, I'd hoped to be asleep much earlier tonight, going to try to get to bed early every day this week so I can be wide awake for my 2 projects planned for this week: 1. I plan on finally updating Tyler's blog (I stopped after the first couple days of our Florida trip in June), and 2. Finally get the house fully cleaned, top to bottom. It's gotten too out of hand anymore and I can't stand the mess anymore. :thumbsup2

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

I'm so happy to hear that it's working out for all of you.

OK, thanks, that's good to know! :thumbsup2 I'll pick some up on the way home from work tomorrow.

Actually I got it a while back... but I was under the weather and well... he wouldn't let me near the box unless I promised a picture for him...

He says that Pink is his signature color... :lovestruc :lovestruc
