OK ressie is made. Party of 6 on Sun Nov 29 at noon in the Vu restaurant in the Hyatt hotel. The ressie is in John's name. I think he's going to feel like he's in a harem with all the women and he's the only male. haha.:rotfl::rotfl:

Should we make him wear pink?:laughing:

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!

:rolleyes:and I think I'm going to wait for the 1st 6 months or so before I go on the new ship... I want them to work out the kinks, etc for it...

I think the non refundable deposits are to keep the extra people and the double bookers off the phones that day... they should do this with the PC cruises too... would keep the serious people in and keep the prices from rising so fast...

Well, it means that I book on Monday!!! I have to call DCL myself with my existing ressie and then transfer it to DU. Marla is going to be unavailable Monday morning. Will DCL let me do it that way?

What time should I start calling? 7am, 8am, 9am? I forget.:confused3

I think it's 8 on the phone...

but you could call now..I'm sure they have some fun Mickey Music playing.. ;)

Thanks Shell, I'll call tomorrow. I have to make sure that they're going to let me book it since I'm transferring a DU ressie. I'll find out.

NIght Deb...

Please say good morning to the lovely ladies across the pond... (and Ian...) :flower3:

Good Morning

Oh I would love to book Dreams for April 2011 for 3 nights before RCCI:idea:

but only one booking as I am silver mean I wait until 9 November for booking it? or should I wait until next year when I am on the Magic Cruise then book it with discount?

Or should I contact TA and send the quote?

Anyone can advise me, I should be grateful

thanks

oh, I didn't realize I could just jump lines at the Embarcadero. I'll come and bring Willie, we'll see ya hmmmm 4 days after we get on that train :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hey send me good thoughts, I got off my hinnie and created a resume today.

First time in 14+ years :scared1:

I saw an ad on Craig's list for what I do as a consultant for another company. I guess it's the best of the worst evils. Do the same kinda thing I've done on my own, but make 1/2 the hourly rate for it. I hope they have some work and I can flatter my way into a job :sad2:
Hey Nan, good luck! You are so smart I can't believe that you wouldn't get the job.

The shareholders are going to vote in November on the sale of our company to the NY company. It will all be over by November 16th.

Just think of Mickey...that's what Lisa/DL5 told Kaylee to do for her big meeting. Lisa said that's what she does. I do it for getting blood drawn for blood tests. I'm dancing with Mickey on Mickey's ship to Calipso music. It helps.

One more thing. I'm sad that the kids pool isn't Mickey shaped anymore, but happy to see the same slide is there as an option for kids not brave enough for the water coaster. AND.....I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the virtual window in the inside cabins, that's awesome!!!! You still get to see what's outside! Way cool!!!!! When Rachel was talking about it, she said it might be the first time you see a wait list for inside cabins! LOL!

Where did you see the actual pool? On the DC site it doesn't have drawings of the pools? When I tried to do the virtual tour of the ship, most decks wouldn't show up. :confused3

OK, I've 'designed' my ultimate DREAM vacation. A B2B2B for the holidays 2011.

Christmas at sea, NY Eve followed by a day at sea. Four stops at CC for beach vegging out. ONE visit to Nassau, since I've never gotten off the boat there...the other Nassau days to hang on this ship. This would only be fun with the same stateroom all three legs, however! :) Also, it counts as three cruises to help the move up the ladder to Platinum! :thumbsup2 Wonder how much $$ this would be for a Cat 10? (Perhaps I'll explore that in comparison to Alaska and the round trip flights to Vancouver.)

Actually, I'm kind of surprised they didn't do special holiday itineraries (like two 6 day cruises).

.

Good luck with your meeting, Ian. We know you'll be a star! :grouphug:

DEB - can you ask Marla if the deposit can be MOVED/Shifted to another sailing if need be???

Thanks!

Monica, my TA Tracy said in her email to me...

"...We have been told that the first sailing will require a $400 deposit per person, due by 11:59 pm the day the reservation is made. It is non-refundable and the date cannot be changed later..."

I can't decide what to do!!! It's sending me a little  ...

Now that we have all the info on Dream....here's where I stand. I can book on Monday by calling DCL at 8:00 am and paying an $800 deposit at full price. OR I can hope/pray that Sue Ellen at DU answers my email and can book it for me with my existing ressie booked onboard. Marla, who I use will not be available Monday morning and DCL says if I use that ressie, DU has to book it. So I'm counting on Sue Ellen or I'm doing it myself and paying full price.

But I'm getting on that boat!!!

DCL says $400 deposit on any cruise on the Dream and non-refundable on the maiden cruise. If the deposits are $400 then what are the prices going to be?????

DEB - can you ask Marla if the deposit can be MOVED/Shifted to another sailing if need be???

Thanks!

Yes, of course the deposit can be transferred to another booking. But it can only be transferred to the inaugural sailing by DU, not by me and Marla won't be doing it when I need her to. I'm trying to work with Sue Ellen.

If I end up booking DREAM myself then I'll transfer the western to another 4 nighter or just keep it and go. We'll see. I have options. I'm going to try to get to platinum before boarding the Dream. January is number 8 so I'll have to do two more before getting onboard in Jan 2011. It's doable.:rolleyes1

SORRY, I didn't know you meant for the Dream. I thought you meant for the western that we're transferring. Duh.

...Hey send me good thoughts, I got off my hinnie and created a resume today.

Good luck, Nan!!! I will cross my fingers and think extremely good thoughts... Thanks for showing me how to spell 'hinnie' - I'd always imagined it as 'hiney'... :teacher:

he crabbed out and won't wear it now  who knows he might man up and decide to wear it tomorrow, but I know he will freak over pictures...
Yeah, what is it with that??? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

This is my eldest son storming off when I got the camera out!!! Until then, he'd been happily showing off his feminine side - heels an' all...

The shareholders are going to vote in November on the sale of our company to the NY company. It will all be over by November 16th.

Next week some people are coming in from NY. There's a session set up with me. I need to figure out what I want to be doing and try not to get so nervous that I throw up.
And good luck to you, Ian...
