My aunt just got off the phone with DCL.

The rep she spoke to, spoke to her supervisor and the deposits are not set yet.

This could be a rumour Disney is floating out there to gauge responses.

I know that we are considering Michelle's idea to only book the two of us but we are also considering not going with Disney at all and maybe doing something different altogether. With another cruiseline we could afford to go in 2010 easily. But we really wanted to go with everyone on this one. But with the # of people bailing out ....

I think Disney's gauging the response... they should have learned after the last debacle...

Hi All....just got back from seeing Jocelyn at the onboard booking desk. I have no idea how it happened, but I'm currently booked on 5 cruises over the next 2 years. EEK!

She only charged me $125 per person for the dummy dates. She said we only pay half price deposits when booking onboard. I told her it was for 2011 cruises. She didn't say that I would have to pay more when I book the actual cruise. I can transfer them to the real cruises on Monday 9/21. I'm not sure which ones we'll end up doing, but I wanted to book onboard and have options.

Holly, Jocelyn told me to call DCL at 8:00am sharp on 9/21 because the Wonder PC will fill up fast.

Michelle, I love the new look. You wear it well. Sending prayers and pixie dust so that Michael stays out of the hospital.

We had a wonderful day on St. Thomas today. We went to the Best Western on Emerald Beach and used all the facilities. It was beautiful. I bought some more blue diamond jewelry and I'm loving my BBC right now. Life just doesn't get any better than this.

I just got a call from Michael... he just got out of the hospital... Now I know why I couldn't get in touch with him for the last couple of days... I was afraid of something like this - heart problems... I love the guy but he makes me nuts...

DCL seems to really only want to support the wealthy and frequent cruisers. Frustrating, but for now, nothing I can do about it all. My TA did say there is a chance there will be 1/2 price deposits offered, but that DCL is telling them right now 600pp. So, once again no one really knows what is going on.

Glad St. Thomas was a wonderful day, it's so beautiful there! Sounds like you're having a great time! Diamonds and BBCs and Mickey.....what more could one want?!

I'm not eligible to book on the 21st because I haven't cruised 5 times, so my date is the 28th.

Well, I'm just going to wing it about the cruise. Whatever happens, happens. I'm so grateful to have been able to be on the PC cruise with you all, it's a trip I'll never forget. I feel very fortunate to be able to say I've been through the Panama Canal, and Tyler learned so much, his teachers told him not many kids his age even know what the Panama Canal is, let alone how it works and why ships go through it, so we both had some amazing experiences. If I'm not able to book this next one, I won't be as crushed as I'd be if I'd never gone before. Sure, I'll be very sad, and so will Tyler, but there will be other cruises, and other cruiselines too. I'm just going to wait until the 28th and see what the status is on that day. No worries!

They would be smart to offer 1/2 price deposits since the economy is still in the crapper for most people I hear. Fingers and toes and legs crossed for 1/2 price deposits!!!!!

Kaylee, is NCL who you cruised with on your most recent trip? How did you like them. I'm going to check them out.

I liked them, but wouldn't recommend the Star. I would go with the Pearl if you are going...Glacier Bay really is 100x better than the Tracey Arm and the Pearl does that route. Plus it is a newer ship with more fun, like a bowling alley, better pools, and a rock climbing wall. Big complaint...all the extras that you had to pay for, but still not bad. I have heard great things about RCCL for Alaska as well....and NCL departs out of seattle, so you might have to see me if you choose to go that route!

I am just waiting to see what happens with the 21st. if the wonder repo really does sell out that day, it will just be plain wrong! I am sure they will get lots of complaints. Oh well....

long day, stood in the rain in the middle of the soccer field to act as a "goal" for Jaide's practice (in a dress and heels I might add) so I am beat and ready for bed!

That's where I'm at too. In wait and see mode. Even if we do Disney I plan to spend a day or so in Seattle. My plan would be to take the train to seattle on sat or sun and then train to van. on monday. So was planning on looking you up.
