Not sure if this is the one she interviewed for. Its at the school still. But I think its more of a one on one thing with one particular student rather than a teacher aid for a whole class.

good for you 2 weeks :thumbsup2

Paul was crabbing about lunches last night too :sad2: I'm a mean mom, I tell them to make their own. He is a softy and makes them one everyday whatever they ask for :sad2: Good thing those kids have both of us to balance out the other, huh? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Get them each a pail and have Paul send them off down into the mines, I mean the school with a ladle full of cold porridge everyday.

Mom needs a break.

I knew I had it spelled wrong... :rolleyes1

There was... and I just figured that that squirrel stuck around for Kathe... wouldn't you?

The squirrel decided he likes being famous! ;)

Okay, you guys are obviously in "cahoots" together :lmao::lmao::lmao:

 Hi Marilyn!

:cool1: I have my own laptop now! Its an HP and its looks like it has Mickey heads on it; well, actually they are just big circles with little circles attached so it looks like one-eared Mickey's. I love it! :cool1::cool1::lmao:

:cool1: Congrats Shannon :thumbsup2

Speaking as someone who doesn't have school aged children.....I LOVE back to school time!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

OKay silience over, I still get one more day And TODAY IS MY MAMA's Birthday :woohoo: She is 82. Soon I'm going to get her and we are having a lite lunch, then spa time = massages then pickup Miss Molly, then we are getting pedicures, then pick up Wilson and join the rest of the family for a huge (18 people) dinner at a mexican resturant because mama likes her margaritas :yay::yay::yay:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR MOM NAN! Sounds like you have a WONDERFUL day planned!

I hope she will, I'm missing my dad :sad1:

She will

Nan  just because

I do know how you feel. My DH's birthday was the day I flew home from my trip to Alberta. My birthday is coming up soon, so my son and his girlfriend gave me my gift the night before I left. My DH was a a very good singer, he was in a band just before I met him. Before I met him, he produced a record with some friends. He only sings one song on it. I never knew that this record existed, or if I did had forgotten  Well, I guess my son tracked down a copy of it from his uncle. His girlfriend secretly took it in somewhere and had it copied to a CD, as she was afraid the record might be broken sometime and we'd have no "record" of it! She gave the CD to my son for his birthday last month, and they both gave me a copy of it on my last night of my trip, just hours before my DH's birthday. I'm very, very touched:goodvibes but I haven't been able to listen to it yet. I think I am saving it until my actual birthday. I know it will make me miss my DH even more :sad1:

Kathe... That's such a sweet gift...   something to always be treasured... make an extra copy and put it in with your important papers if you have a safe deposit box or something just in case anything (God forbid) happens... I did that with all the old photos from my grandparents that I scanned in...

Thanks Michelle:hug: Yes, I will and I do have a safety deposit box. My daughter is coming over in the AM to have a walk with me, so I want to find out if she already has a copy though. She is a fantastic singer (as is her brother) so I want to make a copy for her first if she doesn't have one.

Schools all over Michigan start 2 weeks from tomorrow. HOORAY!!!! THE END OF DAY CARE COSTS!!!!!!

Sounds like a great birthday for your mom! :goodvibes My mom's always too busy for me to meet up with her on her birthday. Now that I think of it, I don't think she and I have ever done much of anything on her birthday. She just doesn't like it. She must have picked up that attitude from her because to me, birthdays are just another day. EXCEPT Tyler's birthday, of course! :thumbsup2

LOVED THE PICTURES OF YOUR MOM'S DAY!!! :) SHE LOOKS SO HAPPY THERE!

:sad2::sad2::sad2: for her,
but happy for me since Ken & I've still got 2 weeks before dealing with lunches for the kids again.
I make Tyler eat school lunches. It's much cheaper and he likes it because there are 3 choices every day. Of course, if he doesn't like any of the choices a particular day, we go out and buy stuff for him to take.

Speaking as someone who doesn't have school aged children.....I LOVE back to school time!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

;)I have mixed feelings. I love it for the end of day care costs, but hate it because school is not a happy place for Tyler. It's frustration, stress, and lots of bad feelings. I think this year will be the worst yet because by now, everybody can read, and he's really starting to feel bad about it. Like at summer camp. The only part he didn't like was Bible study every day, ONLY because the kids were all supposed to take turns reading paragraphs, so everybody found out he can't read. I don't think anybody said anything bad to him about it, it just bothered him seeing all the other kids his age reading. :guilty: We'll just keep plugging away though. In the car yesterday he was asking me how to spell "horrorland" (something from a series of books he loves) and he was getting frustrated because he couldn't remember how to make most of the letters. And I couldn't help him while driving, so he just gave up. :guilty:

Aw, Kathe, what a thoughtful gift! That's definitely something to treasure.

The first half of the day was rough. I was freaking starving! And wouldn't you know it, today of all days, when I couldn't eat until the blood draw at lunch, somebody decided to send out for donuts. It was torture, smelling them and seeing them. :headache: I was miserable without my morning caffeine (by way of diet cherry pepsi). By noon, I felt like I'd hurt somebody if I didn't eat soon, then a really bad headache started and I couldn't think clearly. My lunch is at 12:30, I headed straight to the lab 10 minutes away, and found that they close for lunch from noon to 1:00. So I was standing there waiting outside the door when they unlocked. The woman asked me if I was sure I hadn't eaten in the last 12 hours and I asked her, "You mean you can't tell by looking at me?" I was super crabby. She sucked 5 tubes from my arm, on the way back to work I scarfed down the lunch I'd brought in the car with me, and was a very happy camper the rest of the day! :thumbsup2 I never realized how much one's mood is affected by not eating. An experiment I'd not like to repeat any time soon. ;)

Super tired, rambling now, sorry. Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Ya! What she said!:rolleyes1

As a person that is looking forward to having no kids (you know what I mean, when they go away to college) I so understand this :thumbsup2

Kathe, I love what your son did for you. I hope you have a wonderful time playing the cd and crying that day with happy/sad memories of your DH.

I have lots to talk about with you all, but dang I'm tired. I did have 2 margaritas and as Bubba would tell you I'm a wuss, so I have to go to bed now :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Also, first day of school tomorrow, and I make it only to school on 3 days a year...1st day, Halloween and Mother's Day, so I have to WAKE up early :scared1:

I'll talk to ya tomorrow will all the details and the rest of my normal chatter.

Love ya - Nite nite,

Nan

How thoughtful of your son. It is going to be hard for you to listen to, but wonderful too.

ME TOO!!! Until of course the 3 school busses that roar down my street each day start... :headache:

Those buses roar down streets?:scared1: Don't seem capable - at least when we have been trundling behind them!

I do believe that the driver on our route is trying to set the land speed record...

You should see him in the snow... :scared1:
