pixiedust:pixiedust:DOUBLE PIXIE DUST FOR YOU AND JOHN!!!!!

ALL OUR LOVE, CHUCK AND CONNIE

Hi Connie.....I've been thinking about your BBQ this weekend and I'm so sad that I won't be there. I even asked John if he wanted to hop on a plane and go down just for the day so that we could join you all. I really wish I could be there. You'll have to take lots of pictures for me.

Thank you soooooo much for your very kind wishes and love for us. You're the BEST!!!! From your lips to God's ears!

Good Morning Thieves. Today I'm taking the day off and it's a good thing because I'm exhausted. The kid took a vacation day and is taking Ray for his treatment today. I'll go again tomorrow. John won't have to take any days off this week. It's pretty scary on his job. They laid off 28 people in his department yesterday. They also gave John and the kid a written warning yesterday....for pompus political bullsheet. John has worked there for 17 years and this is the first time that has ever happened. We will be hurtin' puppies if he gets laid off. I thought his seniority status would cushion him...apparently not...times are tough all over. John works for an educational institute in the healthcare industry. What could be more recession proof? People get sick and other people have to fix them. But like any other business, they're losing profits and have to cut back too. The economy is starting to see changes in a positive direction, but by the time it trickles down and effects us on our level....I hope we can survive. I know we're not alone in this. It's happening all around us. Even to a lot of us on here too. PIXIE DUST AND PRAYERS FOR EVERYONE.
Wow Deb, that's a lot of people to lay off in one department. Very scary. I hope things work out for you guys! Maybe with already laying off so many, they won't have to lay off any more people.

Tomorrow is my WW weigh in. I'm doing it one time at 10am and that's it. I can't wait to see what it is. So lots of water and very little salt today. I learned that on the DIS WW thread. I know it's the big picture, not the little dots that matter....but I want to make good progress each week to keep my motivation high. It's the reward for all your hard work and it matters. I think tomorrow I will see good results. I will be excited about that.
Good luck Deb! I'm sure you're doing great!

So I still have NO IDEA what that giant statue is about in "Lost". Who built it? Why is it there? How did it get broken? :confused3 Maybe that was talked about in the beginning before I started watching it. But I'm pretty sure I rented all the episodes on DVD. Anybody know?

I know, I agree. Well, we'll just have to take the Wonder across the PC in 2011 together and spend more time with each other.:hug::hug:

I'm there!!!!:cool1::cool1:

Deb, keep up the good work on WW!

pixiedust: to all who need it (or want it!)

Deborah, the deaf cruise sounds really cool!

Connie, how nice that you're hosting everyone! Wish I could be there. Looking forward to pics!

So sorry to hear things are bad at John's work. I hope he gets through!!!
Times are bad all over and it is pretty scary.

This looks like home!!!

I remember when I went to Bonaire, I was amazed at how much of it looked like Arizona. There's wild cotton growing there! As I recall, years ago the island had cotton plantations. Coolidge, in central AZ where I grew up, had lots of cotton farms. I felt like I was back home...except for the beautiful ocean and great diving!:lmao:

I went to lunch today with a co-worker who is a lifetime WW member and she recommended a salad. I had a garden salad, no cheese or croutons, and vinagrette dressing (because they had no fat-free or light options for dressing). I'm not too happy about my lunch because it didn't satisfy me and I don't even like salads. Thank goodness I have lots of 1 point snacks here at work. :thumbsup2

Connie

It's the Egyptian god of fertility. Do you know there are TWO Lost threads on the community board? One non-spoiler and one with spoilers.

Holly, whenever I'm making my salad an 'entre' I always add some protein (grilled chicken, shrimp or cheese), otherwise...well, it's just not a MEAL. Also, if you are having to ask them to 'please hold' certain ingredients, don't hesitate to ask them to DOUBLE UP on the good stuff. When I last had to ask for no cheese, no croutons and something else (I forget) I asked would they please add more tomato and cucumber. You know they often really just garnish a salad with that wholesome stuff, instead of making them major ingredients. Also, if the place you are dining offers Ceaser salad....ask to have your dinner salad made with ROMAINE lettuce instead of a salad with just iceburg (which has NO nutritional value). Of course a salad with 'mixed greens' is the best! :thumbsup2

(Can you tell I'm eating my WW lunch while typing this? I'm in the ZONE!)

Holly

Hi Connie

How are you? I hope you have a lovely times on this Sunday and hope it will be nice weather ...

I know, I agree. Well, we'll just have to take the Wonder across the PC in 2011 together and spend more time with each other.:hug::hug:

Oh Deb, I am afraid that we just booked freedom of the Seas for my special birthday and Ian don't want to do PC again... I know I will miss you all, if I won lottery, I jump in and bring my ladies friend ::yes::

Sorry since we changed the sky to cable and got cut off with Lost and I have no clue what happened to Lost, I think I stopped watch it about 3 or 4 years ago ::sad::

However, I still watch Deparate Housewives and I was upset that Enid died ::cry::

Hi Deborah, how are you today? Do you have the day off work?

John and I wanted to go to see Star Trek last weekend at the drive in movies, but it was threatening thunderstorms. It's still playing there this weekend and we'll try to go. I hope the weather holds.

It would be so nice to share an ocean weekend with you too.

:hug::hug:

Hi Deb

I had day off yesterday and I was working tonight...

Hey, I would love to go to drive in movies as there is none in UK ::sad:: because we have very stupid weather here...

So have a fun to watch Star Trek and yes it would be nice to share an ocean with you both...

I never forget that John drove a lovely car last year and Ian shouted about bike... at fishlip...

what a happy memories last year....

Taking a coffee break and jumping in with a post. Tonight I have to write up my resume for a couple different job opportunities, so I might not get back on tonight to see all the pictures everybody has posted. Ken's home tonight :cool1: so he gets to put the kids to bed and deal with their lunches tomorrow

Sounds like a bunch of you will be having a great time at Connie's on Saturday!

Deb - hopefully John's job is safe, you really don't need any more stress.

And if anybody is interested there's a new weight loss thread starting up tomorrow "Between the BLs Challenge". Anybody can join at any time, the first post explains how it works.

Deborah, sorry about your mom. 45 is wayyyy to young to leave this earth. I'm sure you are really sad and missing her

Thanks for the comments on the formal pics. I wish I was pounds lighter, but oh well, that's life. :rolleyes1

Paul and I have a house task this week. The dog had an accident on our carpet in our bedroom this morning and I've had my fill of how yucky the carpet looks so thanks to the city bringing dumpsters to the neighborhood this weekend for a clean up day, we are pulling the carpet from our bedrooms and leaving the hardwood exposed. I've always perferred the hardwood and have it everywhere but the bedrooms, so I guess it's a good time to have the dog make a mess that pushed me over the edge

So to do this we have to CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, and move all furniture out of our bedrooms, so it's make over weekend. I'm trying to convince Molly that we should get rid of her little twin bed and set up the nice 4 poster full bed we have in storage for her. I hope she agrees. Maybe it will help her room stay clean if she has nicer big girl furniture ;)

Oh dear I was watching Amercian Idol which I taped it today...

I was listening Danny song YOu are so Beautiful and over again over again and I thought what a beautiful sing...

then I cannot wait who is out as tom night so I looked at internet ...

I wish I had not that ... I feel upset now

Danny got out..... my idol....

I cannot believe Kris and Adam got in final...

I think ADAM is a winner???
