That's exciting.....where you able to see him?

I recorded it but have not watched it yet....sorry, last night was Idol and Lost!

Oh yeah... it was sort of like watching "Where's Waldo" at the White House...:rotfl:

Well tomorrow officially begins the first day of the rest of my life. Meaning that I start weighing and tracking with WW. I needed some time to prep mentally and to make a list and do the shopping. I also needed a lock in start date because it has to be for the rest of my life. Like quitting smoking. I picked May 1st because it's Mayday! That makes my weigh in day the same as yours Shannon....Friday.

I shopped last weekend and have been eating all the WW foods this week, but not weighed and counted and not without other non-WW foods. This was a get my feet wet test run. I found out that I'll be able to do it and make it stick. I have 34 points daily and 35 points weekly and that's what I'll be eating for the rest of my life. I don't have the option to go off of the plan. I need to do it to get my legs healthy.

I'm looking forward to feeling good again soon.

Deb... you can do it. & perhaps in time you will also be able to go to a meeting... Start with the first step and don't make it a sprint... The journey IS more than the destination... :grouphug: (and btw... you have a great team here and one of THE BEST leaders WW has ever had right here in our very midst...)

We love you and we're behind you... :grouphug:

Becky's Drive In has the new Star Trek movie next weekend....I wonder if it's too cold to go yet??? :confused3

Bring a blanket...

Hey that's Monica, Me and Michelle... or Monica Me and Marilyn...or Monica, Me and Mackie (sorry Jackie ya have to have an M name to be in our pool :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Mon, pmed ya. Get better remember you are travelling the world for the rest of us too and we don't like to be sick vircariously thru you :sad2:

They kinda taste like a slushie smartie, the AMERICAN kind of Smartie, you might like it ;)

Love the shades in that picture. I think every girl scout trip should include that shot :thumbsup2

Hi Deb, missed ya:flower3:

Thanks for reminding me about Trek, I'm going to pick our family night at the movies and make a suprise plan...hmmmm maybe I have my mother's day idea in my head :thumbsup2

Yeah... that's me in my hand me down Yogi Bear bathing suit...

& Marilyn... I'll meet you at the margarita bar in Sept... (if I book the cruise... :rotfl2:)

:grouphug::grouphug:Monica :grouphug::grouphug: I hope you feel better soon!

Jackie/Deb - I thought it was great to see Daniel's parentage confirmed. I don't like Eloise, I just don't trust her. She is too focussed and seems to see people as pawns in a game just like Widmore and Ben.

Deb - that's so sweet that you celebrate your first date with John  Enjoy your start on the WW journey. Friday is a great weigh-in day. You go into the weekend with a fresh start. I usually use up a bunch of my weekly points on treats and drinks over the weekend.

Hi to everybody

Ummmm Shannon... Ok.. I"ve got to admit... I need to read slower... before I realized what you were talking to... I thought... "Wait... doesn't she know that Daniel belongs to Lisa..."

Here we are on the 2nd full day of this cruise.....but I'm stuck on the ship. Yesterday I got REALLY sick & I've been diagnosed w/ Acute Gastroenteritis....so today, instead of being able to walk around Copenhagen I've been quarentined to my room. Not fun, but hopefully I'll be ok tomorrow for Berlin. Dad's out walking about on his own. I don't think I've ever been this sick!

Not the swine flu - no fever or anything else other than not being able to keep anything in my system. Had a visit from the nurse last night & will have to be cleared by her before I can leave the ship tomorrow.

I will head back to catch up later....did hear that Ann & Albert were able to post pics. I hope they had as good of a day as we did w/ them :goodvibes

love to all!
OH NO! Do you think your upset stomach a couple days before you left was the start of this? So sorry you're sick and quarantined. How awful that must be!:hug::hug:

Oh, sure you would like a Margarita! Especially on a hot day....made with fresh lime....mmmmmmm and strawberries......I like to make them in my
Bullet blender.....I even use premade sweet and sour mix!

Where are you going to be tomorrow? I won't be at breakfast on Sunday am,I will be working at Saratoga Springs.....I would love company! :grouphug:

I will pop in and see you. :) What time do you start work?

Way to go Deb! Remember, Ian has told us on here that a person knows when they're ready. It sounds like you're ready. I never thought I would be ready but one day something just clicked and I somehow knew I was ready to try WW too. Best of luck to you Deb! You know we're all here for each other and we know you can do it! :yay:

Deb, I'm glad to see you post, I was wondering if you're OK. Sorry about all the stuff with Ray, I hope you start getting the checks sooner than expected.

Question to all you experienced WW folks. Is it OK that I don't use my weekly and activity points? I just haven't needed them yet. I only ask because I know if you cut back too much on what you eat, your body thinks it's starving and slows down your metabolism. I don't want that to happen.

Greetings from Eastwood Manor! I love it here! I think I might never leave (don't tell Ian):rolleyes1

The neighborhood is wonderful, the doggies are so cute and Sukie has a BUNCH of CDs I'm going to copy. Plus Ian has a GORGEOUS new iMac that I can play on. Life is good!!! (just like my tattoo!)

Hi Cherie! I'm glad you've settled in, sounds like you will probably have the most relaxed vacation of all of us, and you get to call it work!

Oh Monica, I'm so sorry you are sick! I hope by the time you read this you are feeling MUCH better

Hi everyone, day 2 at Eastwood Manor has come to an end. It was a great day! Sukie introduced me to a bunch of music by men/women I'd never heard of but was great to learn about. We rode the El to another part of town and went to some really fun shops, then had lunch at a diner. It rained off and on today which was lovely to me...rain is something I don't get to see very often!:goodvibes When Ian got home he took me for a ride to the supermarket in Mrs. Fezziwig, then we walked down to a sandwich place for dinner. I'm very good friends with the doggies now; Truman lolled on my lap for a long time this afternoon while I gave him a good rub.:thumbsup2 I've got to mend my nightowl ways while I'm here, since this household rises early, plus I've got my 2 hr. time difference to adjust to, but I think I'll do fine!:)

Holly, I love Tyler's Karate photo!

Monica, I hope you're back on your feet soon! What a terrible thing to happen on your vacation!

:thumbsup2 to all the WWers!

Did you have to take notes for that?

I can barely turn on the cable at Peg's house! :lmao:

.

I didn't write anything down, but I'm going to practice tomorrow while they're still here. I can just see me getting the TV turned on and then not being able to turn it off for a week!:scared1:

It's great to hear about everyone's doings! Love you all!:lovestruc

Holly, I'm far from experienced, but Ian has said before that he doesn't use his activity points. I think the important thing is that you feel full. A lot of different things I've read including WW site suggest eating different amount of points/calories each day so your body doesn't get locked into getting that amount of calories. Its something to keep in mind if you don't see results.

Now I must go back to :laundy:

Hi to everybody

Thanks Shannon.....Friday sounds like a great day to weigh in. I'm looking forward to getting started tomorrow.

We have been considering our options about the flu too. Since Patrick goes to the workshop 3 days a week, and you KNOW most of those kids don't know hygiene from a doorknob! Also most of the staff is Hispanic, not that they all have been to Mexico lately.....I really don't think that matters. But if one person gets it in a group setting like that.....everyone will get it. Then I say to myself, of all the people I know.... Patrick is the healthiest......he's a tough cookie! ANd I am sure they will close the workshop and let all the caregivers know the minute there's any trouble.

BTW.....HAPPY ANNIVERSARY YOU WILD KIDS!

It's a good thing that Patrick is healthy. I'm sure they will close down if it becomes an issue.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. We love celebrating our first date.....such a great memory.

You've NEVER had a Margarita! :scared1: We will most definately remedy that in September. We just have to make sure you get a good one....made with fresh lime and not a stupid 'bar mix' some places use.

Deb, just want to make sure you realize your daily points allotment will decrease as you lose weight. I've already lost one point off mine. Although, as we get more and more slim, it will be easier to add activity points for important things...like champagne. I'm going to try and not rely on my 35 weekly 'bonus' points unless there's a very special occasion (like my birthday), because I expect I'll be relying on them a bit more as my daily allotment decreases.

Hugs and Kisses, Mackie

.

Hi Mackie.....hahahaha.....Nan is soooooo funny!

No I did not realize that I would lose points as I lose weight. Guess I better plan on doing some activities to earn more points. I'll worry about that later after I start losing some weight. Thanks for the heads up.

Awwww, thanks Michelle....I know I was able to quit smoking because of all of you so I'm sure you'll all be here for me when I need some encouragement with losing weight....yes, I agree that Ian is the BEST!!!

Bring a blanket...

Thanks Holly....you're off to a great start yourself. It's important to have the support of all my friends here. It makes all the difference between success and failure.:hug::hug:

Deb, I'm glad to see you post, I was wondering if you're OK. Sorry about all the stuff with Ray, I hope you start getting the checks sooner than expected.

I did get behind for a bit but I managed to get caught up. I always miss you guys when I'm not posting. But I will always come back on when I can. I'm not going away.

John and I were talking about Ray tonight. He's going to have to get treatments 4 days a week initially and it's going to last for about 3 to 4 weeks. I can't keep up with that pace. I'm going to have to let Mrs. Bush take him and I'll have to pay for transportation. The VA told me that it could take a couple of months to get the appointment that I'm waiting for. So it's going to be a long time before I see any money from them. We just have to keep tightening that belt for a while longer.
