We are back from the Smart Car anniversary party and from our little errands this morning.

I took quite a few photos and they can be found over on my Facebook profile.

We stayed longer than we intended, but sort of had to. Mrs/ Fezziwig was parked all the way at the back of the service area with about 40 Smart Cars in front of her.

I did resist temptation. They were offering 15% off accessories, and I had contemplated a sound system upgrade. It had bluetooth, and could also control my iPhone so I could play music from the iPod through the system. It already has a built in jack for that, but this system allowed you to control the iPod through the main panel. It also had a built in microphone hands-free talking on the phone.

Sukie pointed out that we hardly ever even turn the radio on and all we use the car for are errands. I couldn't argue with that, though didn't like my bubble burst.

Maybe it's a boy thing but the scent of new technology plus a 15% discount was a bit heady.

Not much to do this afternoon. The choice is finally, after a year, upgrading our poor wheezing iBook to Leopard, or ... taking a 3-mile walk. I can't quite decide which.

You're so brave.....I don't know how you could resist such temptation.

Alas, wiser minds prevailed.

Still avoiding taxes...been busy doing some Tortola research and getting really POd because I can't book Dolphin Discovery directly any more...new deal they have with DCL....gotta pay DCLs 60% markup! I may just have to tell a fib and say I'm on a private yacht instead of a cruise ship...which I may do if Dianne really wants to do the dolphins.

Time to cook lunch, take a nap, then, maybe, start the taxes.......

Ken was actually playing board games with the husband, and I was helping the wife put together a cake for her kids birthday party. She decided to make a 3D castle cake using fondant to decorate it. We started at 9 and it still wasn't finished when we left as 12:30. It was the first time either her or I had worked with fondant. Its not something I'd recommend. Very slow going.

Today all 4 of us will go over there for the party, then home to decorate Easter eggs

You should have played the games I hope the decorating is fun. I feel like we don't have much Easter stuff to do since we did it all last week. I did spend $70.00 on their baskets and there is only one candy in there.

Have to call my friend who gives me her $39 employee discount for hotels and see if she can find me one close to Chicago for a night, then have to go get Tyler's silly string, then pick up a couple groceries, pick up Tyler, come home for dinner and head to tonight's candlelight Easter vigil. Well this time we played Race for the Galaxy and looked over BattleLore. I think Shannon has answered the rest. Their kids are 1 and 3 and the board games we are generally taking about are not kid games or your usual Monopoly type games, so even some of our games are too much for our kids.

Well it's just fun to get a sitter sometimes. We are kid free for three days this weekend That only happens once or twice a year for us.

When I first read this I read "we haven't been able to slut her up". I was thinking that it doesn't surprise me that you scared everyone away from the other thread

I did spend $70.00 on their baskets and there is only one candy in there.

Since I'm doing Weight Watchers I refuse to bring all that candy in the house this year, so I was scrounging for ideas for the kids' baskets. Wouldn't you know, David found a double DVD player for the car on clearance at Target, so between that and several movies to watch on the trip to Sacramento next week, I think the baskets are up to about $200. Maybe I should have stuck with the candy!!!

Ok... here's my theory about the next PC repo thread...

I think theres going to be a little bit of a rivalry because, hey... we ALL think our cruise was THE best... (and you know...it was...gotta admit it... it was...)

They had more Disers, but if you read alot of the reports and a little bit about their thread... they didn't get along as well as we did... maybe it was because of the amount of people on the trip... I don't know... they also had a rougher crossing (not ship wise... but events wise) because of all the kids on board at that time.

In other words... we had two totally different experiences... (personally I think we got the better one, but I'm biased and since my plans to get only one rain shower (at night) worked out and they got drenched going through the Gatun Locks.... oh well...

And we had Champagne... And Shots... and... well...


So... this is what I think... we're either all gonna gel, or it's going to be like West Side Story... The Sharks vs the Jets... or rather the Thieves vs the Pirates...

And going on the way that Ian usually thinks... that means that there will be a rumble up by the goofy pool right after the tropical party. We're going to be fighting over turkey legs and chocolate covered strawberries...

& God forbid they take my chair while watching movies up on deck at night...



All kidding aside... however... if by chance we DO get Joey Fatone on board again... I cannot guarantee my behavior... I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but come on... can't they get someone else??? Or perhaps we could leave him in Acapulco where we picked him up???

Why don't we all just be nice and not talk about how much better we are? I would have loved to be on that cruise. I wouldn't have given up ours but I would have gone on that one if it would have been free AND I probably would have had just as much fun.

As for Joey, I like having free days that I don't have to go to a show.

Well you beat me....or did I beat you I bought all the toys first and then realized there wasn't any candy. I don't like it around and they don't need it anyway.

Michelle, I agree mostly with your theory. I sort of suspect we might have to continue to have 2 separate threads going. But that's OK because this group will continue to get along as we always have.

About Joey Fatone, my thoughts remain the same as they did before our PC cruise: Why does DCL continue to bring old "has beens" onboard? It would be nice if they could get some current talent. Sorry if I offended anybody, it's just how I feel.

Maybe it will be Will Smith and Justin Timberlake this time

You would NOT have had just as much fun on the other cruise. Yes, you would have enjoyed it, but your couldn't possibly have had as much fun. No way! Never. No chance, NO!

Our last trip will always be special to us too since we met all of you!!!



A good question is: are they on thread #12 too because they're still all friends with each other???

Of course, we go beyond friends coz we all are family that really really loves each other.

I don't think they have that. We'll see.

Then, can we have that with them? Maybe some?

Guess we'll find out. We've got two years.

I'm sure out of the 600 people I could find one that I could make a really good friend I think we had some issues. I just know that the ones that had issues don't come around anymore and I suppose it's the same over on their thread. It takes a special person to able to do what we do here. You can't be judgmental and you have to be friends with all kinds and learn from each other rather than think badly if they aren't exactly the way you are. I'm the type of person that thinks everyone is a friend and I would think we all are like that.
