Thought I would drop in and say hi to everyone. Doug has been lurking and has been keeping me up on anything important that has been going on. I had a really bad relapse of my depression but we think we have made a major break through and I am now very much on the mend. So much so that I am interested in getting on the boards again. For awhile I didn't even want to get on the computer.

I was glad to see so many familiar names when I went on the new thread for the 2011 PC Cruise. And then the wonderful PM from Bubba inviting me to stop back in here made me feel really good.

About the most exciting news from here is that Mickey is getting a little sister in a week or two. We are naming her Tinker Bell and calling her either Tink or Belle (not sure yet). Here is a picture of her and one of Mickey now:

HI CAROL!!!! Great to see you here! So sorry with your struggles, but glad you're on the mend. Congrats on Tinker Bell! Cute!

And.........WHAT?! THERE'S A 2011 PC THREAD AND NOBODY TOLD ME?! How the heck did I miss that? I'm going for sure, so now I'd better go check that thread out!

Hi all,

Absolutely beautiful day here. Almost 20C.

I had to go downtown so I chose to walk and then met Shannon at Subway for lunch.

Shaelyn has decided she wants to learn to play the piano so we stopped at the music store and picked up a beginning book for her to try out. We'll see how far it goes.

I tried to take the winter tires off my Tucson today but they are stuck on good. So I will take it in to the dealer and let them deal with it. But it will be nice to get the studs off and just go with my regular tires.

Have some steaks to cook for supper, so I think I will break open the BBQ for the first time this year.

As I said it truly is a beautiful day today and has me in good spirits.

Going to be a short work week for Shannon this week, but unfortunately she only gets a 3 day weekend compared to my 4 day. But it's better than nothing!

Glad it was such a nice day for you! Thanks for mentioning the short work week, I'd forgotten all about it! I only have to work Tues, Wed, Thurs, and until noon on Fri.

Shaelyn sat down at the keyboard we have had out since Christmas and decided to play with it. Then she actually asked us "how do you play this properly". So I brought out an old teaching book and showed her a simple song. She kept practicing the song for a good 30-45 minutes. She then told us she wants to learn how to play it.

So today we bought a couple of beginner lesson books to get her started. Hopefully she will actually take to it. Both Shannon and I used to take piano lessons. I took them for about 2 years and hated it back when I was in about Grade 4 or 5.

Some of us don't need to think about it. Some of us have already started our trip fund for it!

Hello Everybody

I am at Fraserburgh in North of Scotland, and I am relaxing tonight as my brother and Ian went out tonight... I am having a glass of wines and kids are playing box 360 games...

Also two puppies here Sam and Jade, my god, they grown up and sometime funny too...

Will speak you when I come back to Edinburgh next Sunday....

Hi Deborah!!! Take pictures.. have fun!!!

I woke up and and was really tired.

Our bedroom is in the front part of the basement. The back part is where the boilers for the two units are and the washing & dryer and storage lockers.

There is a problem with our boiler. The electronic starter has started buzzing loudly like an old fashioned electric alarm clock. It is so loud that you can hear it on the first floor (main floor for Marilyn) even with the TV on. As a matter of fact it sort of drowns out the TV.

We had the part replaced in the fall, but the new part was faulty and started acting up. I did so with a vengeance this past weekend. It was woke me up 2 to 3 times on Saturday and again last night.

I was so tired this morning that I'm surprised I caught my normal bus.

I usually take my alarm clock and throw it across the room...

We bought rock band and the kids are driving me crazy. You can only listen to hungry like a wolf so many times

Duran Duran??? Your kids like '80's music???

Thank goodness it's almost time to leave for karate class. We're both getting bored. Snow is 1/2 melted, and it's too slushy to do anything with anyway. We ended up with 8 inches, so it sure was pretty this morning, but melted very fast.

Wish me luck tonight that I don't throw up or pass out!

Up here Good Friday is the stat holiday. So we get all of Friday off. Easter Monday is not a stat but some places take it off (like my place of work, schools and governments) and others, like Shannon's workplace, don't take it off. So I get a 4 day weekend while Shannon gets a 3 day. But seeing as how I work from home on Mondays and Fridays it won't be much different for me except I don't have to worry about the office contacting me for something or the other.

WELL....I was offered a new position in another dept today! I intervied three weeks ago today and I was finally notified this afternoon! Can't write about it on Facebook yet, but I am soooo excited!!

CONGRATS V!!!! Way to go! Looking forward to hearing all about it!

I don't. I just put the cover on it and don't use it. Thankfully we have a covered deck so I don't have to worry about much snow. In the winter we want to use the oven to generate some heat in the house to cut back on the furnace bill!

I LOVED the pictures! Well worth the wait. My favorite is Venetia with her Easter basket! Just a look of pure joy on her face! I showed the pictures to Tyler and he said, "Wow, there sure are lots of eggs there".
