But lineups aren't long enough so they need to run less stuff to get people in longer lines ...

What Disneyland did you go to eh???:confused3 All the usual lines were LOOOOONNNGGGGG, and almost everything was up and running !

Just more corporate greed!

I agree. But when we were there the only lineup that I remember that was over 1 hour was Roger Rabbit. Nemo was about 1 hour. I didn't check out Indy, however. Even Peter Pan was only 45 minutes. Space Mtn was only about 30 minutes. Toy Story Mania was about 45.

But I have come to believe that they (the corporate suits) let as many people into the park until every top ride has a lineup of over 1 hour.

Which equates to max crowds, max lines , max profit right? So why the layoffs? :confused3

drive by posting......

bad news at work today - 2 people from my team/account were just laid off. This is after they told us earlier this week that we all needed to take a week of mandatory time off.

:grouphug: Oh, Monica! I hope you are going to be ok! There' seems to be bad news every day about job losses

Good morning all!

I had another evening out yesterday. I went out to dinner with a friend of mine who I had not seen in a while. I had a lot of fun. It has been a long time since I've had dinner and some really good gossip.

Also some good news (Jackie & Cheri listen up) I found someone to dog sit for us when we go away in September for 2 weeks.

My friend Rich will move in for those 2 weeks. I am going to pay him, but it's a real win-win-win. The dogs don't have to be in a kennel for 2 weeks, it will be MUCH less expensive than boarding, which costs about $90 a night, and Rich will be able to pick up some extra money.

I fully trust him. He's very good with the dogs when he comes over, and he had a dog for about 15 years, until Archie passed away a couple of years ago.

Today is going to be very busy, but I will be stuck indoors for most of the day.

We have our usual weekly errands, plus I have to pick up food for Passover. Then, I have to start migrating computers, starting with installing all of my application on my new Mac and moving data, and then wiping my old one clean, reinstalling the OS, and starting the process all over again, to migrate Sukie to my "old" iMac.

It's really a pity, because the weather is really nice today.

Hi Friends....Good Morning Ian!

I got so far behind this week. I just read for the last two hours to finally get caught up.

Sorry I've been MIA....doctor, drugs, then issues with Ray came up. He fell down in the middle of the night going to the bathroom. Just a little bruising, but he'll be fine. Then he needed new pants. He's been in there for almost two years so I guess it was about time. I did some shopping for him and today I have to drop them off. We have to mark them or something....not sure....got to find out when I get there today. Then they told me that he started coughing while eating meals. He's been doing it for about two weeks now. It's really loud and presents a problem for him as well as others around him. I had to get in touch with his doctor. He's going to have him evaluated by a speech therapist. They will check his swallowing. He had problems swallowing when he first fell down the stairs and then he aspirated. So we have to be very careful. I have to be there for the evaluation when it gets scheduled. Still waiting to hear when that will be.

Been lying down every day too to keep the edema down in the legs. They are better because the infection is finally going away. I'm on my third month of antibiotics so it's about time. I keep soaking them in epsom salt too. It's working. The leaking comes and goes though. I wish I could find a way to get rid of it once and for all.

Today is yet another day of dark, wet and windy outside. It's been like this most of the week. I hope we get some sunshine soon.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Monica, when you see Kaz today, be sure and tell her how wonderful I am! :lmao:

Deb, glad to hear the legs are improving

Ken, I want the red Mustang convertible

Ian, glad to hear you have a dog sitter, I hope Peg has as much luck for this September too!

GO SPEED WILSON!

Guess what I just found out.....my brother is getting married this weekend! Paul and Jill have lived together for years and are making it legal now that he's about to retire. His company (RJ Reynolds) offered him an early retirement package and he's taking it and retiring sometime this month. They want to make sure if something happend to him, Jill would get benefits, so their making their bond official.

Morning! Just about to hit the road south to enjoy an early Easter celebration at Gayleans sisters house. Supposed to be thirty somthin people. Good friends and good food so it should be fun. Gaylean said to keep the camera off of her, ya right! Hope everyone has a great day and will check back in tonight. :thumbsup2 Adios eh!

Deborah, I hope you got some sleep!

Glad Keith had a good time away! I'm sure you're glad to have him home though. :goodvibes

Hi All....it's a great night for TV....Survivor, Idol and Lost....what a combination in one night. I'll be recording.

It was not such a good day today....tummy problems back again. Spent all day on the throne and eating immodium. Yummy!

Got some good news yesterday. Ray was approved to receive VA pension benefits. Next step is in process.....he needs an appointed fiduciary to receive and disburse funds for him. They won't accept my POA. They have to schedule a meeting where they will investigate me to see if I am suitable. Jeeze! Just look at my bank statements and you'll see that I won't be stealing his money. So I sent in my letter requesting a meeting. We'll see how much longer it will take to actually receive the funds. At least we're still moving in the right direction and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I am way back on page 70--so this may have been thoroughly disussed, if do, sorry--

but

it occurred to me that if they choose someone else, you are freer to focus on your health both physically and financially. If there is some treatment that insurance won't cover, you can afford to pay for it perhaps.

It might also free you to move to THE Beach permanently and reduce John' commute.

:confused3: just some ideas....

 Jan

Great pictures Ken! This is my dream car! I was sad when my ex-husband got my 1999 red T-top Camaro. I recently found pictures of us getting into it leaving the church after our wedding. :cloud9: BUT.....I love the new one better because it looks so much like the older ones. Nice!

How in the world did you keep your kids occupied for a line that long?

Wow Deb, sorry about Ray's fall and cough, I hope he checks out OK with the doctor. Glad your legs are getting better! Keep up the good work. Your weather sounds just like mine. The suns is shining today, but it's COLD and windy, so not much fun being outside. It's so windy that every time I got out of the car when I was out earlier, the wind would catch the car door and blow it all the way open! Good thing I didn't park too close to any cars because they would have been smacked by my doors for sure. Then we're supposed to have snow Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I hope we get enough for sledding (but doubt it).
