I sure see why you're good at what you do.....I love how you explain things and put them into better perspective. Very helpful words, thanks a bunch! That member's 60 pound weight loss is very encouraging. :thumbsup2

You should see me in front of a crowd on Sunday mornings.

Hey, did anyone here get the email from DCL offering "Kids 17 & Under Sail Free?" Apparently it went out to CC members, but I NEVER get email from DCL so I wouldn't know! Much as I hate the thought of cruising in August, it's the ONE time our family might all be able to go, and Erik doesn't turn 18 until mid Sept!

That's a really good deal!

Here is my advice, which is the same advice I give at meetings.

Get a pedometer, and for 2 normal work days, measure how many steps you take on average per day, that will become your baseline.

Then set a goal of how many steps you want to increase it to everyday. Keep wearing the pedometer everyday, so you can see if you are reaching your goal.

My goal is 15,000 steps a day.

This is a most excellent idea. And one that I have chosen to do. I got mine at my ww meeting and I love it. I wear it every day, all day and I'm currently at 14606. I recommend getting one. Mine also tells me miles and AP points earned.

V,

I have to give you a HUGE complement! That is so wonderful!

I think I have it easy, because I take public transportation, and so walking is easier to build in. I think where you guys live and a car culture makes it more challenging which is what is SO TOTALLY FANTASTIC about what you're doing. That is an INCREDIBLE number of steps everyday.

(Yes, I love the WW pedometer for all of those reasons too)

Thanks for the reminder about ER, Michelle. I watched it for the first few seasons, but quit watching shortly after Dr. Greene was eliminated. I'm kinda curious to see how/why they bring people back. Are they actually closing the ER? I saw in a preview that Greene's daughter comes back.

She's back and she's all grown up... where did the time go???

Just like ours - proper Smarties!!:thumbsup2

:snooty::snooty::snooty:

OK, so now there is at least ONE positive thing about Canada. I much prefer the type of Smarties, you're referring to over M&M's.

As a matter of fact, until this cruise thread, I had no idea that there was any other sort.

I'm with you guys, these Yanks know absolutely nothing about such important matters.

You would think he wasn't born in Brooklyn... :rotfl:

OK, guess who's in Disney World Right now staying at DVC Saratoga Springs Resort?!?

Our soon to be indicted former governor Rod Blagojevich!

They let just anybody stay there, don't they?

(There goes the property values ...)

Ian... he looks better with a goofy hat... but that's an insult to Goofy...

& not that anyones impressed... but I lost 3 lbs on the "I've got a Kidney Stone Diet..." :lmao:

I would really like to. Maybe someday when I visit your fair city, I will of course still be a ww member, and would look forward to one of your meetings.

There's no actual proof I was born in Brooklyn, although there was plenty of "documentation" that the people who raised me tried to pass off as a "birth certificate."

I know my real parent have a manor house in England, and left me, with a poor and humble family to help me build character.

My real mummy and daddy are going to drive up in a Silver Cloud Rolls any day now, and restore me to my rightful place.

I'm wondering if we have the same WW pedometer. I'm not sure mine can be paused. Now I have to check it out. How do you pause yours.

Quoting again to add, I do have a great city to walk in. I work 6 blocks from the beach and we have a beautiful waterfront. Maybe I will take a camera on my next walk to show you what I mean, But like Ian said, it takes no special equipment,or outfit, I just leave my desk and put one foot in front of the other. Oh but I do wear my Ipod and even have a special playlist just for my walks. The right music really helps with my stride and pace. I also get a short extra walk in the morning when I have to go to make the bank deposit.

Mine looks like the picture below.

The pause button is on the top, which is pointing downwards when it's clipped on your belt.

You can sort of see the button in the photo on the box.

And will this also include a title. Lord, Duke, Earl, Viscount maybe.

I think you've been drinking some of that pharmicutical laden Chicago tap water that I heard about on the news.:rotfl2: By the way, could you bottle some up and send it to me. I know I could sell it for big bucks!:rolleyes1

I could, but you'll have to meet me in the school yard at midnight.
